Awful. Wind river caused tens of thousands of dollars in damage to our home not counting all of the aggravation and displacement they’ve caused. The wind river technician came out to our home for a routine annual septic pumping. We have a septic filter installed in our outer tee pipe leading to our leeching field which prevents solids from entering the leech field. This was installed two years ago at the recommendation of wind river. After the technician pumped our septic he installed the filter into the inner tee pipe which is the drain from our home into the septic tank, the wrong location. He then inaccurately wrote up a report and submitted it (that we have baffles in our system which is wrong we have a tee pipe system) and he left, not before damaging our septic tank cover. Within a week of installing the filter in the inner tee pipe, the entire septic line was clogged and our house was flooded with sewage. This has been an incredible headache and cost us tens of thousands of dollars to repair. I’ve contacted wind river several times (at least 7) to discuss this issue and each time I’m told that someone will call me back immediately. No one has ever called me back. Thank goodness for insurance who will surrogate and sue wind river over my behalf. Stay away from wind river. Robert.

They arrived early. That’s usually a good thing. But I had to go out quickly before they arrived. They didn’t call 30 minutes before arriving like they’d promised. So it was hectic off the bat. Not a big deal. But later, when it was determined that I needed some repair work on the system, they were difficult to reach. They took my number down wrong at first. But even after calling several additional times with my correct number, they still took several weeks to get back to me. I hired them because they market themselves as a full-service septic maintenance/repair/engineering company. I got the sense that they didn’t want to deal with me.

Went fine. Tech located tank with no trouble, replaced lid properly, reported the tank condition as acceptable.

I was impressed with Wind River immediately - they were responsive and accommodating, finding an appointment on a day that worked for me. James (I think that was his name!) arrived punctually. Having only owned the home for two years, I had never had the tank pumped and, therefore, didn't know where to show him to access the tank. He located it in less than a minute and got to work. He was pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. I chose Wind River due to the excellent reviews on Angie's List and their fair pricing. I would definitely recommend them and will certainly use them again to service my septic tank.

Called them on multiple occasions. Spoke with and had email conversations with Paula in engineering. She told me she would put together a proposal and then I never heard back from her. I called/emailed and no response

It went smoothly. The customer service rep who scheduled the work and the service tech were both friendly and professional. It would have been nice if he did a better job restoring the lawn after digging up the septic tank cover.

They squeezed my job into their full schedule when I told them that I couldn't find anyone else that could fix it until Thanksgiving and we were in dire need of the repair. Once they were digging, it became apparent that the job was much bigger than they anticipated due to some shoddy work that had been done previously. They were very professional and made sure everything was working properly. Even with all the additional work that needed to be done, it was only a few hundred dollars over their very reasonable estimate. Another company had quoted me double the cost to have them fit me in before Thanksgiving. They did have to bump me one day from when they were supposed to do the job because of an overrun at the previous job. That is the only reason I didn't give them an A for punctuality. I did think it was understandable, especially considering they were squeezing me into a full schedule.

CONS: Did not use Wind River due to the $164.50 cost just to get someone out to take a look and give us a quote on repairs. Was told this amount would be applied to any work that was done. Still, I am not going to make a down payment or "pay a service call fee" without knowing what they would charge for the actual work, or if they could even perform the work at all. PROS: Customer Service rep was professional and responsive by email and phone.

The service was done on time and very professionally.

Adequate job. Promised far more than delivered. Also had a competitor do the job at a second home who were less expensive and did a better job. WindRiver did nothing wrong, as they performed the work as expected, but they just over promised (unnecessarily) what they said they'd deliver and didn't.

They were on time, courteous, and did not try to up sell me.

Gentleman did recommend a variety of services which we were not familiar with, e.g., bacteria injections etc., which we declined. However, I think he had a tough job since we had not cleaned out our septic tank for a very long time so he was patient and got the job done. Will use again to maintain and update our system.

It was fine. I asked them to come out and do a job and they did it. I wasn't here when they came.

Services were provided as scheduled in a prompt and courteous fashion. Would definitely use again.

I was very happy with Wind River's service. The woman who answered the phone and scheduled the appointment was knowledgeable and clearly explained the process and what to expect. The service tech was very patient and answered all of my questions. I am a relatively new home owner and wanted to know everything that he was doing. The service tech told me about a product they offer for treating septic over the course of the year. I though he was moving in for the up-sell but then he said my system looked fine and he didn't think it was necessary. For that reason alone I will call them again next year.

On time and performed service as expected. A little pushy with the recommended powder sales. Did not appear overly experienced. A little pricey compared to others.

Always goes perfectly with Wind River -- From the first phone call for scheduling to the visit from the very professional service man, I am always happy with this company!

Very friendly and responsive. The person who came out to pump the tank was very nice and also gave some good advice. The pricing was competitive.

Everything went smoothly. The service employee made a point of explaining what to do and not to do in order to keep the septic running as smoothly as possible.

I've used them several times. I'm not sure how competitive the cost is but I would rather feel confident in the work than save $20. They are prompt and I've had the same service tech for the past few visits which is also reassuring.

We've used Wind River for many years and keep going back to them for septic system pump-out. Someone answered the phone when I called, I scheduled the appointment, they showed up. I asked to take a good look at the septic tank once it was pumped out to see if there were any cracks. None were found this time. About 20 years back, they put a patch in and it's held for 20 years. About 4 years ago they recommended and we agreed to put in a filtration set up for the outflow- that's worked well.

The last service was excellent. The service previous to that wasn't as good. The technician was good. I'm assuming they were competitive. I don't have really much to compare it to. We've used them for so many years. Their responsiveness is inconsistent.
