Description of Work: Exterior work done to prevent basement flooding. They hand-dug a trench for a pipe and excavated around the foundation and applied a waterproofing agent, closed up nicely.

Description of Work: We purchased the $49 deal for a foundation and basement water leakage inspection. We had some water coming in our basement as a result of the rain and wanted to see what was needed. They were fairly prompt in arranging a visit, and the representative they sent over was very nice at first, but it quickly became clear that this was an aggressive sales pitch to commit to their product, which was way beyond what we needed. I believe they quoted me something around $8000 for the full system at the time of the inspection, which was absurd. We politely declined to make a decision the day of the inspection, at which point the representative just got more and more pushy. We finally told him no, and since then (almost a year later), the company has continued to call us over and over. Even if I thought the service was worth the money, I would never deal with this company again.

Description of Work: Lots of water in the 1700 basement of my barn that was build on top of it. System works quite well. It was done very efficiently and they cleaned up after themselves. There were problems with communication about the system and a little conflict over what was part of the contract. It worked out OK in the end with a slight hassle factor. It has continued to work extremely well and the basement is dry.

Description of Work: Knowledge representative located damp basement areas, explained where they would excavate and install pipes and equipment to remove water. Showed me model of a sump pump and conduits, all very clear. Wrote a proposal. |Unfortunately, this water containment system requires more construction work--digging up floor, removing parts of walls, etc.-- than I wish to do.

I LIKED THE FIRST CREW THAT CAME OUT, HOWEVER, THEY WERE UNABLE TO FINISH THE JOB THAT DAY DUE TO TIME CONSTRAINTS. THE SECOND CREW THAT CAME OUT WAS NOT AS GOOD AND IT TOOK QUITE A COUPLE OF CALL BACKS TO GET THE JOB DONE RIGHT AND AN EXPERT TO COME OUT. IN THE END, THE JOB WAS DONE WELL. I WISH IT WOULD HAVE BEEN COMPLETED THE FIRST TIME.

IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME OR DESIRE HIGH QUALITY WORK, DO NOT USE BASEMENT TECHNOLOGIES. ALTHOUGH THE POOR QUALITY WORK WAS FINALLY CORRECTED, IT WAS A STRUGGLE TO GET THIS COMPANY TO CORRECT THE PROBLEMS. THE WORKMEN WERE COMPLETE SLOBS WHO LEFT A HUGE PILE OF CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS PILED AGAINST MY FURNACE; A CEMENT STEP THAT WAS PART OF THE CONTRACT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS BUILT BY A FIVE YEAR OLD PLAYING WITH MUD. THE WORKMEN RAPPED ELECTRICAL CORDS AROUND STEAM PIPES, AND WHEN I TURNED ON THE WASHING MACHINE THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO RECONNECT, WATER WENT GUSHING ALL OVER THE BASEMENT. ALTHOUGH THE REMEDIAL CREW WAS SCHEDULED TO SHOW UP ''BETWEEN 12 AND NOON,'' NOBODY SHOWED UP UNTIL 7 IN THE EVENING. APOLOGIES WERE ABUNDANT, BUT REGRETTABLY I HAD TO GET REALLY NASTY TO GET THE POOR QUALITY WORK CORRECTED. ALTHOUGH THE SALES PERSON REPRESENTED THAT HE IS AN ENGINEER WHO SUPERVISES THE CREW, HE WAS THERE FOR A FEW MINUTES AT THE BEGINNING OF THE JOB, AND THEN MISSING IN ACTION.

I CANNOT USE MY BASEMENT FOR ANYTHING, AND NOW THEY SAY THAT I DO NOT HAVE A WARRANTY. I HAVE HIRED AN ATTORNEY, AND I AM GOING TO SUE THEM. THIS HAS BEEN AN OVERALL AWFUL EXPERIENCE.
