He did not request more money but I paid him some more because he did a lot more work. He worked very hard to make it successful. If there's an A+, I'd give him an A+. He went above and beyond. They were there for 12 hours. He got the job done and I was very happy. Their price was very reasonable.

Description of Work: *** UPDATED REVIEW *** Jason responded to my review and apologized for not being more responsive...which I appreciate. We set a time to meet and although I was a few minutes late he did not mind and understood. Jason is very easy deal with, honest and knowledgeable. After inspecting my issue he felt it best to speak with a contractor about a related "house siding" issue as it may be the source of the problem. Unlike the other "big brand name" company that told me "just dig up your basement, put a trench and sump system in and you will be all set", Jason was thoughtful and steered me in the right direction even though it meant not getting business. He also referred me to a trusted contractor that can help me out. I absolutely recommend Jason as he will provide an honest solution and will not try to sell you on something you don't need. Thanks again Jason. After reading reviews I was very excited to speak with Drycrete --- however, they have decided not to respond to me. I left a message, sent a request for estimate via their website and contacted them through Angie's List. After multiple attempts i finally got a message via Angie's List asking for my location and phone number....nothing from them since and that was 5 days ago. Just let me know if you are too busy to take on additional projects - that way i don't waste my time.

 + 1 moreI first want to say how reliable Jason was. After dealing with several unreliable companies for various jobs over the summer, it was refreshing to have someone who we could count on. Jason first came to our house a few weeks ago to give us an estimate for the work. He spent time to assess the problem and gave us two different options for how to solve it. The choices were to install a sump pump or a french (or trench?) drain. We went with the french drain option. His price for this job was by far the best out of all the other estimates we obtained. We scheduled a day to have the work done, and he even called the day before to confirm (which I also very much appreciated). Jason and his crew showed up when they said they would, and were even a bit early. We reviewed the details before he started and he took pictures and showed me the process along the way. The job took about three hours and they cleaned up good when they were done. I was very happy with all aspects of this company and the work they did!
Description of Work: We had a drain replaced at the base of our driveway that had been causing flooding into our garage.

 + 3 moreJason and team showed up when they said they would and completed the job in two days, less than the three days they had estimated. They removed the old, rotting wood walls. They then installed a french drain (jackhammer, excavate, installed a pipe and stone, concrete), water barrier, and sump pump. It looks great, they were efficient, and removed all the old material. They are not the cheapest, but I am very pleased with everything.
Description of Work: Drycrete demolished and removed the rotting wood walls in my basement and installed a waterproofing system.

 + 1 moreI bought my house in May 2015 and within 3 weeks I had water in my basement 3 times. The former owners had told me that they never had water in the basement. It was so frustrating! But Jason Kaye was fantastic. He promptly responded to my initial inquiry; assessed the basement water issues; and made recommendations. He understood that, as a new home owner, I needed several options that covered a range of prices. I opted for the most expensive choice because I didn't want to deal with water in my basement ever again. The crew of 5 men worked in extreme heat and humidity for 2 days to complete the job. I was impressed with the timeliness and quality of the work. I even have a pump that is remotely monitored to let me know it is working or if it needs attention. During the job, Jason was suspicious that there may be a water main leak outside. He advised me to call the town water department, which I did. The man from water department came yesterday and discovered there IS a water main leak, soon to be fixed by the town. Thanks, Jason!! Without you, my cellar would have been flooded over and over. Great job!! I highly recommend this service to anyone.

 + 1 moreFrom the first phone call to the time they pulled away, I could tell that this company is a class act. Jason knows his stuff for sure and his crew are all professionals. Could I have gone with a company that had a cheaper quote? Yes, but my instinct told me you get what you pay for and I was so right. Just look at the nightmares the competitor's reviews show. These guy spend half their time fixing other company's failed attempts to stop water from coming in. These guys are artists in what they do, even in the way they dig, remove, and pour concrete, not to mention the excellent plumbing work, and the explanation and installation of a high tech pumping system that sends alerts to my phone if there is anything going on. A+ all the way. If you want a company that knows how to stop the water from coming in, a company that does what it promises exactly when they say they are going to do it, hire this company. If you want it done right the first time, and don't have time to play around with armatures or basement waterproofing scams, just call Jason. This is a real review. Jason is great; was very responsive from Day 1, persistent at keeping in touch but not pushy as we were weighing out whether or not to get the work done. Was straightforward with cost from day 1, unlike the big name companies you hear about on the radio. They showed up at 7am on the first day of work, and finished the entire job in 2.5 days. I never felt mislead once, when they uncovered an unexpected challenge of an entire poured concrete elevated platform that we thought was wood or cinderblocks, we negotiated a fair add-on and to get the work done, and it did not delay the job at all. Outstanding all around.
Description of Work: Jason and his team installed a complete French drain system in the interior perimeter of our basement. They also leveled a poured concrete raised floor to make it even with the rest of the basement.

The builder of our house had previously "repaired" a crack in the foundation, but the seal did not work (he used a different company). There was also water under the floor of the basement. We decided to reseal the crack and install a French drain system. Jason arrived with his team on the scheduled date and all the work was completed as expected and at the estimated price. He showed me each step of the process and explained what was happening. I was very happy with the work and will absolutely have him back to do the other three walls before we finish the basement.

 + 0 moreRight from the time he came to give an estimate Jason was professional and informative. You can tell he has put in MANY systems. He works along with his guys and makes sure everything is done right. He also communicated a few logistics with me to make sure of what I wanted but smartly anticipated things I never thought about...things like a good place to put the outflow pipe and extra places along the french drain to drain water into the system (dehumidifier water or furnace condensation. When he left he left an unbelievably clean worksite. I wish all contractors I worked with was like Jason!
Description of Work: Jason came and gave me an estimate about 6 weeks ago and soon after I scheduled him to do the work. The estimate seemed right on for the scope of the work. Full french drain with sump pump and back up battery with the new electronic warning system to your email or cell phone. He came the day he said he would and promptly arrived on that day at 7 a.m.! They worked fast and finished in a day and a half.

We thought an internal French Drain was probably our best option but were apprehensive because the basement was newly finished. Jason helped us to understand what was involved and all the options we needed to consider. No denying it's a messy job but Jason and his guys were very careful and it worked out great. He was very patient and had a straightforward manner in answering our various questions. Provided a written on-site estimate before he left that was detailed, helpful and appreciated. The only reason we did not go with his service was that we ultimately were having additional work done as well, and we bundled it together with the other contractor. Otherwise, we probably would have been comfortable choosing Jason. As we did not have the work done by him, I cannot comment on that.

Description of Work: We use Drycrete Waterproofing and he was excellent. He waterproof our basement. Water was coming through the walls and he had to dig in our foundation form outside and put water proofing on the concrete and it did the trick. He had to do it in 5 different locations.

They cleaned and removed all the dirt and cement that was dug up. I liked the fact that Jason was on site the whole time which made it easy to address any questions or concerns I had while they were there. I also had some additional holes in the basement floor that they filled in with cement for me.

 + 1 moreJason and his company were great! I brought drycrete in for an estimate in the fall after a few other companies and after reading all of the great reviews on Angie's List. Not only did I find Jason the most knowledgeable, he also provided me the most reasonable quote and didn't try to sell me anything I did not need. He was on site for the entire project and his team was very efficient in getting the work completed. It was a two day job, and as I was at work while the project was being completed, Jason found time to catch up with me each night to walk through the work performed and answer any questions I had. I cannot say enough about Jason's professionalism. As we still have a significant amount of snow, Jason offered come back in the spring to find the best place in my yard to discharge the water. I would recommend drycrete to anyone with a basement water issue. Very glad I got this done, I have already heard the pump working! Thanks again Jason.

We chose Drycrete because of their excellent customer service and excellent reputation, and their excellent presentation and price. They consistently receive high reviews over the years on Angie's List from so many very satisfied customers. If your in the market for waterproofing work, don't hesistate to call Drycrete for a consultation. We highly recommend Drycrete. Our work was done in September 2014. It was a 2 day job and Jason & his team arrived promptly on time both days. Jason stayed true to his original price and original time frame, even though unexpected clay was discovered in our basement flooring which added much more labor to the job. Jason did not increase his price to adjust for the unexpected additional work that had to do, which we are very appreciative of. Jason and his team arrived early both days, and worked full days and completed the job on time, in 2 days, as originally stated. Atlso, at the close of each day, the crew cleaned up all dust & debris and Jason pointed out and explained to my husband the work that was done each day. It has been 6 months since Jason & his crew installed the waterproofing system to our basement and we have experienced record breaking Winter Season here in New England this winter of 2014-2015, which will be recorded in history as one of the wetest and snowiest New England Winter Seasons, and I am so happy to report, that even though its been the wetest and snowiest winter season, even with all the piles of snow melting, we have not seen one dripple of water in our basement! Description of Work: Drycrete Waterproofing Co.of New England (Waltham, Mass).installed a basement waterproofing system. The job consisted of digging up portions of our basement floor to install a French drain & to also install a sump pump. Jason Kaye, owner of DryCrete Waterproofing Co. of New England, came highly recommended to our family by word of mouth by more than one person. I work in the real estate field, and repeatedly it was Drycrete that was recommended to me too. When we checked on Angie's List to see if any reviews were posted by members of Angie's List for Drycrete we were amazed at how many customers gave high reviews consistently over the years, and this certainly helped us to decide to call them for a consult & eventually hire them for the waterproofing job. Drycrete's customer service is top notch, no other company we were in touch with could come close to the personal attention and service Drycrete gives their customers. Within an hour of leaving a message on the company's answering machine to schedule an appt, the owner of the company, Jason Kaye, promptly returned our phone call and scheduled the appt. within the work to come look at the job and give us his recommendation and price. It really impressed us, that he was willing to schedule the appointment to accommodate our work schedule. Jason was also the person who came to our house to assess the job & price the job. It is quite amazing that the owner of the company is personally involved in customer service. I believe Jason attention to customer service helps keep his company so much in demand. Most companies, you talk to a receptionist to schedule the apt, then an estimator comes to the appt, and then a different group of workers show up to do the job. We basically dealth primarily with Jason, the owner of the company, from scheduling the appt. to Jason showing up to the appt. to price the job and then each day Jason showed up with is workers at the start and close of each day. Jason is so easy to reach and to communicate with, he answered all our questions and at the consultation he even showed us a short video clip on his cell phone of a recent job he did that was very similar to the work our basement needed. The video clip helped give us a visual understanding of the work he was recommending for our basement waterproofing. He certainly gave the best presentation of all companies we interviewed and his price was on target, so we felt it was a no brainer, to hire him on the spot for the job, he won our vote of confidence to get the job done right and on time. Drycrete is extremely busy as their business is in demand, so they are usually booked weeks in advance. We got an appt. for consultation within a week of calling them and our work began almost 3 weeks to the date of our consultation, which was perfect for us, as it was just enough time for us to be able to clear out the section in the basement the workers needed cleared, as they needed some small areas cleared so they could have room to dig up areas of the basement floor to install the drain and sump ump.
