Drycrete uses the best available products on the market and our expert process transforms a wet undesirable basement into a safe, dry and usable space. Our company values are based around Integrity, Innovation, Craftsmanship & Compassion.
We could not have had a better experience with Jason and his crew. Jason showed up promptly to provide us an estimate and took the time to answer all of our questions. Jason always answered his phone, or called me back immediately when I had follow up questions or concerns. He put our minds at ease about doing this kind of work with our houses old foundation walls, and made us feel confident he had the plenty of previous experience with dealing with any unforeseen problems that could have came up. Jason and his crew showed up right on time to perform the work and were careful and courteous. They worked extremely hard and stayed late to finish the job ahead of schedule. Jason took the time to make sure the discharge pipe from the sump pump was hidden to our liking under our existing deck (which took quite a bit of extra work). Jason also made a point to come back later that night at a time that worked with our schedule just to review the work and explain what they did. They were very mindful of where we wanted the clean outs and the sump placed. The work was only installed a couple of weeks ago, so I can't review how well it works, but Drycrete provides a warranty and was willing to clarify the language to ensure that we felt comfortable that they would stand behind their work.
Description of Work: Drycrete installed a drainage system around the entire inside perimeter of our foundation walls in the basement. They installed a sump pump system and took special care to run the discharge pipe under our existing deck. Drycrete poured a new slab at the areas where they installed the drainage pipe.

After interviewing several potential waterproofing companies, I found Drycrete Waterproofing on Angies List. After reading all the great reviews I decided to have them give me a free quote. I called Jason and left him a message and he called me back the same afternoon and agreed to come by the next evening and give me a quote. Drycrete?s quote came in well under all the other BIG basement waterproofing companies, but that?s not the reason I chose Jason?s company. The reason I chose his company was because of his knowledge and customer service. It took me a few months to decide to do the job and every time I had a question in that time period Jason called me back immediately and was very patient with any questions I had and never pressured me into signing a contract. The job ended up being more work than he anticipated, but he didn?t charge me any extra money for the work and finished the job early. I would absolutely recommend Drycrete to anyone who is looking to get the job done right, on time and with great customer service!
Description of Work: Drycrete repaired some work that a previous company did. He installed a French Drain around the perimeter of the basement along with a Sump Pump.

I can't speak highly enough about the outcome of the services performed. The technicians were very professional and worked quite efficiently. I waited until after we had a major rainfall (Hurrican Sandy!) to post a review and was please to find the wall was dry as a bone! I would recommend this contractor anytime.
Description of Work: I had an 8' crack in my house foundation which has been leaking water into my garage for years. The technicians applied a layer of concrete approximately 5" wide into the crack. They then injected a resin through the concrete to fill-in the rest of the foundation to provide a complete seal.

From my first contact with Jason at DryCrete, he was a consumate professional. He provided a free estimate (arriving exactly on time), explaned the scope of work and delivered an estimate on the spot but with no pressure to sign a contract. I considered this large expense for a couple of months and then called Jason back to discuss some details and see if the quote was still valid. He answered all my questions openly and honestly. (This work was, in part remediation of work done by another Basement company that had prooved to be a real Dog). After speaking with Jason, we agreed on some minor contract modifications (he sent me a revised contract the same day) and we scheduled a date for the work to begin. On the appointed date, Jason showed up with a crew of 5 additional workers. Jason stayed with his crew throughout the process and they worked their tails off! Periodically, Jason would give me a tour of their progress and explain how and why they were doing what they were doing (all this during Hurricane Sandy) and giving me the opportunity for input when needed. This was a massive job and DryCrete completed it a day early, did an excellent job and kept the cost exactly as quoted even though they encountered several unexpected issues along the way. The crew was courteous, clean (they actually cleaned up the site at the end of each day), efficient and professional. Each man had a job and they did it well. While I initially wondered whether spending this kind of money on an interior drainage system was worth it, I am glad I did. Because of the way Dry Crete did the job, the water table in the system is already 12" lower than it was before they came on site (we had frequent flooding because the other company did such a lousy job). I would recommend DryCrete to anyone who has basement water issues. They are top notch!

Jason and Dry Crete were terrific and a pleasure to work with! If A+ were a rating option I would select it. I called in August for an estimate and Jason came out right away.- his was the first estimate I got and I wanted others for comparison purposes. It took me a while to get other quotes and decide what work I would have done. Jason called to check during that period of time to see if I had any follow up questions. Once I decided to have a French Drain installed and to use Dry Crete Jason reviewed the quote and the recommendation of what needed to be done to be sure I was still comfortable with it. I set up dates for the work and he was able to accommodate the timing I needed in order to be home from work - about a month out. Jason and his crew were very punctual, very efficient, very professional, and very easy to work with. The job took a day and a half rather than two full days. They cleaned up after themselves both at the end of day one and completely at the end of the job. The work proceeded exactly as Jason estimated and the price was just as he quoted. He kept me informed all the way through the job, showing me the different stages, and explaining as they went along. The cement is drying as I write this and a hurricane is on its way to put the new system to a test. I feel confident that all will be well.

Jason and his crew were prompt, finished in the 2 days they had allotted for the job, and actually swept the basement before they left. The system is brand new and has not been tested by rain, but Jason explained the pump and the clean-out vents to me before he left, and offered to answer questions by phone or email later if I had any. They had to dig through a lot of rock in my basement, in addition to the basement floor - it was not an easy job. They also had to route the out-take pipe in an unusual way, because of the structure of the house and driveway. I had received an estimate from another company, but Jason assured me that he would be part of the work crew - he was not just an estimator. The other company's estimate was higher, and the estimator would not have been doing the actual work. Jason knew how to think creatively about how to route the water away from the house. I would not hesitate to recommend Drycrete and Jason Kaye.
Description of Work: Drycrete dug a drain around the interior of my basement, installed drainage pipe and a sump pump, and covered the trench with gravel followed by concrete.

Let me start by saying I have never taken the time to write a review before even if I was happy with service. I always think about writing, but then get sidetracked, but Jason and his crew did such a great job I had to. I agree with all the other positive reviews when they say he and crew arrive on time, answered all my many questions without one ounces of frustration or arrogance even though many seemed ridiculous. He was also more then willing to take the time to also explain to my husband as we had different schedules. We own multiple properties and I have used many different contractors, but Jason stood out for his pleasant demeanor and the fact that he is working as hard as all his other workers to complete the job. It is so refreshing to have the owner around to answer questions and problem solve as a project is being done! we ave not had any significant rain since the work, but ave total faith after seeing every aspect of the work that my basement will be complete dry as Jason promised!

It couldn't have gone better. I have had no water collection, and at one point when there was some water from the freezer failing down there, I called Jason and he was responsive and helpful. I recommend this company and would use them again.
Description of Work: I live in an old Victorian with stone foundation and we have had water from the exterior for 11 years. I called Jason, from here on Angie's List, and he impressed me with his responsiveness, clear communication, understanding of the problem and overall professionalism. I wish I had done so when we first moved into this place, but I had heard miserable stories about bad french drain systems. His team came while I was away, and did 4 days of chain gang type work--2 huge dumptrucks full of materials they removed from the basement, and that much came back in stone. Very hard work. They installed two pumps and a drain system around the inner perimeter of the house, which meant digging at least a foot into the cement and installing liner on lower part of the walls to collect moisture. After installing the pipes and pumps, they surrounded them with stone and then covered the whole deal in cement. Pipes carry the collected water out two exits, through the foundation walls, to the exterior.

Clean up was quick and Jason, walked me through entire finished job. He even laid some extra stones he had on my patio, no extra cost and one day job. Very happy! Only tip for homeowner..cover anything in basement (furniture, etc.) with sheets or tarps. It is a dusty job.
Description of Work: Interior french drain, wall injection and patching of cracks in wall. Jason Kaye (project manager), came out first to give a detailed estimate. He was knowledgeable, professional and not pushy. After getting a much higher second estimate. I went with Jason. The day of the job, they were on time, professional, quickly took care of unexpected water leaking in my basement from problems on the street!

I originally set up an appointment on a Friday to have Drycrete give a quote for a resin injection into a seam in our foundation where the old and new foundations meet where we had a bit of water come in during some downpours after we moved in. Jason called me back very quickly and set up the estimate. He ultimately was unable to keep the appointment because of unexpected problems at the job he was coming from. However, he made sure to call me a few times throughout the day to keep me posted about when he might be able to come, and then agreed to call me over the weekend to set up a new estimate date and time. He was very apologetic for not being able to make the original appointment. Jason then call me on that Sunday and agreed to come early (at 7 am) one morning that week to give the estimate. Jason then showed up right on time. He gave me the estimate for the seam work, and he also took time to go around the basement to discuss a few other areas I had questions about (being a new homeowner) that did not need work performed. I emailed Jason the next day to say I wanted to schedule the seam work when he could fit me in. He emailed back right away to say he would be back in touch about scheduling once he was able to finalize his schedule for the upcoming week. He then called a day or two later and said he could come on that Friday morning, which worked perfect for my schedule. Jason explained that he was not able to be there himself for the work, but he told me about the workers who would be coming. Mike and his crew showed up this morning right on time. They were very polite and answered all my questions. They completed the work in about 3 hours, which is the time Jason had said it would take. When they were finished, Mike showed me the work and answered any additional questions I had. The true test will be when we get any heavy rains and/or heavy snow in the winter, but I was very pleased with the way Jason, Mike and the crew handled themselves. I would definitely recommend Drycrete. Jason was extremely responsive (more so than any other contractor I have dealt with), and Mike and his crew were very professional. I will certainly keep them in mind for work in the future.
Description of Work: They removed some concrete put over a seam where the original foundation meets the new addition foundation, and they injected resin into the seam and covered the seam with hydraulic cement.

After years of dealing with basement water problems following heavy rainstorms, our situation became much more random and unpredictable in terms of where/when water would puddle or flood, even after a stretch of good weather. Our "someday" project suddenly turned into a "sooner vs. later" necessity at a financially inconvenient time. I contacted 3 basement waterproofing companies solely based on the positive rankings/reviews I read on Angie's List. Of the three companies who came out to look at the basement & give us an estimate, Jason (Dry Crete) was a clear stand-out for several reasons. First, and most important to me, was the fact that Jason not only assesses the problem, thoroughly explains what is required to correct it and provides a detailed written estimate (along with diagrams) BUT (and this is a BIG but!) he's there, along with his crew, to actually DO the job! As much as I enjoyed the fancy slide shows and iPad video presentations provided by the other 2 companies, along with the personable "salesmen" who showed up to explain their companies' "systems", Dry Crete was the only company whose principal (in this case, Jason Kaye) stays with you from start to finish. Jason's estimate was also the lowest of the three and the ONLY person who pointed out that a built-in storage cabinet in a corner of our basement would have to be dismantled and removed in order to dig the necessary trenches for the French drain system to work properly. This (his) attention to detail impressed me. However, once we'd signed on and scheduled a date 3 weeks out for the work to be done, we - rather, I - ran into a couple of "hiccups". At the time of the estimate Jason explained that he and his crew would need approx. 4 - 5 ft. around the perimeter of our basement floor free and clear of appliances, "stuff, etc. and that it was also our responsibility to dismantle the floor to ceiling built in storage cabinet. I totally understood his request and the rationale behind it - hey, folks, they need room to work and the trenches are dug, pipes laid, along the entire perimeter of the basement where all 4 walls meet floor. What I underestimated was just how much work that would be given how much "stuff" we had. Moving everything to the "center" of the basement was a reasonable request - except for one problem. The "center" of our basement was already full - with "stuff"! After taking 4 - 5 carloads of "stuff" to Goodwill, it had hardly made a dent in terms of freeing up the space we needed. My emotions took over as I tried to make quick decisions over things I'd long forgotten that were taking up necessary space. Family hierlooms, items I'd received from my recently deceased parents, etc... My anxiety at a crescendo, I phoned Jason and explained my dilemma to his voicemail. I knew we needed the job done and I never waivered about hiring Dry Crete to do it, but I needed more time to accomplish what he needed me to do. Jason returned my call immediately and was both understanding, kind and patient. He suggested that I just worry about the "small stuff" - boxes, bins, etc. that could either be stacked or moved to other upstairs rooms. He offered to dismantle the built - in and help move the large, heavy appliances, etc. when he arrived to do the job. Bottom line: Jason and his crew arrived on time on the scheduled date and did everything he said he would. He even remarked how pleased he was that we were able to clear far more space than he'd anticipated and suggested that by doing so the job would be able to complete their work a day ahead of schedule!! Before Jason left he took us down to the basement and showed us how to inspect/clear the drain pipes (if necessary) - no "maintenace plan" required. As much as I wanted to write an A+ review for Dry Crete the moment Jason and his crew drove off after finishing the work I decided to wait until after a good rain storm. Well, we've had 2 or 3 heavy rainfalls so far and NOT ONE drop of water!! Completely satisfied & impressed!! Oh, one more thing... while jackhammering along the wall behind my washer and dryer the old, rickety sink stand collapsed. When Jason suggested we could probably either get some wood to piece it together or hire a carpenter to build a new one to support the drain sink, I thought "oh, no"! We are not do-it-yourselfers and I had no clue what it would cost to hire a carpenter to build a new one or how long we'd be without the use of the washing machine in the process. Jason said "Let me see if I can help you out. I might be able to put that thing back together myself." Guess, what? He did. Before he left the stand, along with the sink it supported, was in it's place, stronger than when he'd arrived - at no extra charge!!
Description of Work: Basement Waterproofing System:Installed approximately 104 linear feet PERMA-DRY System (French drains) along the interior perimeter of the foundation with a 1.5 HP sump pump, 6-8" DRY-COVE protection along base of walls & inspection caps for self-monitoring drainage system.

To save him/me time, I sent photos of our problem area. He determined that his equipment could not be used inside, but offered a solution for plugging the leak from the outside. He then offered a VERY inexpensive alternative -- which I could do -- and if that didn't work, we could resort to the WAY more expensive outside approach. In other words, he looked out for my best interests rather than try to sell me on his services. I appreciated his honesty, objectivity and responsiveness. P.S. The "cheap" approach has worked so far. But if doesn't hold up, I will definitely call them.

Fantastic. Jason is one of the most professional contractors I have ever used: provided estimate on-site; gave exact starting date for the job and notified me a week in advance to say he would be one day late do to unforeseen problems at the previous job. Jason brought a crew of 5 men to complete the work within the original plan of one day for the work -an unusual problems arose during the job and rather than return the next day the crew remained another 2 hours to finish the job. He also fixed the problem under the foundation that was not visible before the installation. Moreover, Jason's evaluation of the "old basement" that the original 12feet may not be sufficient because of foundation and ground conditions he thought it prudent to extend the drain system by an additional 8 feet. Since this was not in the original estimate Jason did this at no additional charge -how many contractors would do this?! There are too many good qualities to list without the risk of making this review appear unbelievable. My overall experience and evaluation is that Drycrete Waterproofing provides superior service. Should the need arise for other water proofing problems (I have a garage that also may need work), Jason will be the first person I call.
Description of Work: Installed a complete system in our "basement addition" of approx. 86 linear feet including new 1.5hp sump pump. Additional 20 linear feet in "original basement" with another 1.5hp sump. Connected the sump drain to an existing underground overflow pipe and checked the outflow of the pipe into the drainage well. Removed nearly 40 cement blocks nailed to basement floor that were originally designed to increase the distance between cement and flooring -a useless and nonsensical system. Clean-up.

This was a very stress-free experience, which is a strange thing to say when the reason I called DryCrete was because my basement had flooded, again. Jason came out promptly, explained the system he installs, and suggested options to work around the quirks of my basement. He answered more questions when we called to book the job. It took a few days to get things scheduled, but he and his guys came out and did the job on a Saturday morning, which suited us very well. They were efficient and quick, and also helped dismantle a closet that was in the way but we hadn't had time to take down (and they did this at no extra charge). They left everything in the basement VERY clean, and once they were done, Jason walked me through the set-up, pointing out thing to watch for and how we could use the system to drain our dehumidifier continuously. I hope I never need to install more drains in my basement, but if I do, I would definitely call DryCrete. Other contractors have openly admired the work as well.
Description of Work: Installed a drainpipe and pump in the basement to prevent flooding, and installed gravel outside to minimize water coming in at all.

Overall the experience was excellent and very satisfying? Jason gave me an estimate and soon after we set a date for the installation of my French Drain. Being in the middle of a home purchase, Jason was very accommodating in answering questions and providing the necessary information to my real estate agent and the bank. In the interim, Jason would reply to all calls regarding the installation process. On the first day of installation, Jason and his crew arrived on time and began to set up their work site. Jason reviewed the contract and particulars of the installation with me. What impressed me most is Jason was very interactive with me. He wanted my feedback as to where I wanted the pumps placed and welcomed any suggestions I had. During the excavation and installation process, Jason?s crew encountered several obstacles that required changes to the original design of the system. Once again Jason either spoke with me in person or called me to discuss the situation to come up with a solution that I was happy with. He even took the time to txt me pictures throughout the installation of the French Drain system. Overall the installation went very smoothly, fast and professional.. Jason DID NOT increase the price of the job due to the unexpected obstacles. He made sure I was satisfied every step of the way and most importantly his crew cleaned up at the end of each day. You never knew they were there. Jason is a motivated individual who is passionate about his work. He treats every home like it is his own and is in the trenches working with his crew.

I had been having problems with water in the basement, mostly from a window well that would overflow. Jason did a excellent job looking over the problems and giving me all of the information I needed to make the best decisions. He did not try to push me into doing anything more than necessary. I felt very comfortable with the process of getting the appraisal and making my decisions . I had an issue with water coming into the basement between our conversation and when he told me he would be available for the job. When I called to make the final approval for getting the work done, Jason, realizing my stress level at the storms that were coming over the weekend, moved around his schedule to come on Friday. I cannot express how pleased I was with the workmanship, professionalism, and timeliness of Jason and his crew. They went above and beyond in terms of digging and placing gravel not just around the window wells, but around the porch area as well. The concrete job around the sump pump is close to artwork. So far, so good with the recent rains. I'm extremely pleased. Update from 11/1/12: I had called Jason about one of the window wells that still had water issues after the work. I asked if he could do more work on it, installing a drainage system at the bottom of the wells. He advised I have someone come look at the gutters first. I had the work done to re-route the gutter, which was the difference between a thousand dollars and the $75 that I eventually paid. I'm extremely grateful to Jason for not taking advantage of my anxiety and advising me to do unnecessary, expensive work. I can report that I did not have any water in the basement through the recent Sandy "super-storm", and I'm an immensely satisfied customer.
Description of Work: I had window wells re-dug and filled with gravel. I also had a sump pump installed in the basement.

I loved working with Jason and Drycrete Waterproofing. Our basement and garage had two large cracks and started leaking water whenever we had a large rain or snowstorm. I got estimates from several different companies, some of which wanted to sell more services than we really needed. Jason came in, examined the situation, listened to my concerns, and presented a proposal that was in line with several other quotes. He did not try to sell us things we didn't need nor was he a high pressure salesman. I chose Drycrete because of Jason's professionalism, the comments and feedback on Angies List, as well as the feedback on the BBB. When Drycrete did the job, his team arrived on time, did a fabulous job, and cleaned up afterwards. If we ever need basement work again, I will use Drycrete again. If you go with this company and this team, you will not be disappointed.

When Jason came out to do the estimate I felt he took the time to understand what my needs were. He did not appear to be a high pressure sales man. He even discouraged me from investing in things that were necessary for my waterproofing needs. I was impressed that he would be on the job site for the entire job as well. Jason and his team were prompt, started and finished the job within the expected time frame and there were no hidden costs or surprises. I was impressed with the quality of the work and loved the fact that the job came with a fully transferrable warranty and a way to show future potential buyers that the waterproofing system is in working order without having to dig up the basement floor. The team was neat and cleaned up after themselves leaving me no mess to deal with after they had finished. I would highly recommend Jason and his team to anyone looking into basement waterproofing. I had received two quotes prior to Jason coming out to see me and I doubt you'll find a more reasonable, professional to deal with.

I had Jason and several other big name companies come and price a basement waterproofing job for my home is West Roxbury, which occasionally had standing water in it after a big storm, and often got "puddles". The big companies sent "sales people" to talk about their product and quote a price -- Jason knows the work required because he DOES it. He showed up on time, dusty and dirty from his work day (for which he apologized and took off his shoes at the door!), and talked to me like an intelligent person, not an idiot. He took his time explaining what he would do and why. He explained his written quote in detail, and did not try to rush me to make a decision. (In contrast, some of the other people who came out saw "single mother" tattooed on my forehead, tried to bully me into signing a contract same day, and poo poo'd me when I asked questions. Jason's price was better than everyone else's, and when I had follow up questions after our meeting he answered them carefully and quickly. He scheduled the job around my needs, showed up on time, walked me through what he had done at the end of the first day and walked me through the finished project at the end of the second day. His crew cleaned up thoroughly and left the house and yard as they found it. I was thrilled with the work, and it's such a relief to go downstairs in a rain storm and not worry about finding a flood!
Description of Work: Jason installed a complete French drain system with pump and outlet pipe. He broke up concrete, excavated, laid pipe, filled with stone and then patched with concrete. The job looks fabulous!

We decided to have a sump pump installed and contacted a number of companies both from Angies list and from recommendations of friends. Jason gave us a very fair price and had the experience in total basement waterproofing that we were looking for because at some point we may do additional work in the basement and Jason would be perfect for the job . We cannot recommend Jason highly enough. Professional , courteous , experienced, reasonably priced are words that would describe his company. He answered all our questions, answered all our calls ,sent all the insurance paperwork (cert of insurance) promptly and did not pressure us to make a decision. He fit us into his schedule by doing the install on a Saturday which we really appreciated . The pump was installed perfectly and we have the peace of mind knowing it was done the way it should be and will do the job when needed. Jason runs his company the way we think all businesses should be run which is the reason he is so successful .If you are looking for basement waterproofing we strongly recommend you contact Jason because he is the best at what he does.

Before calling Dry Crete, I had estimates from 3 major waterproofing companies. Each offered their own solution to my water challenges but none completely listened to the history of the house's water problems, preferring instead to explain how their system was different from the other waterproofing systems. None of the 3 companies left me with total confidence that my water problem would be completely solved. Jason, however, asked about the house's water history, walked the entire property (inside and outside) to completely understand the issues, confirmed the part of the system that was working correctly and offered suggestions of how to correct for the water problems I was having. Jason encouraged me to ask questions from the day he came to provide the estimate to the end of the completed job. I felt that Jason actually listened and viewed my water issues as if it was happening in his own house. Not only was Dry Crete the lowest estimate of the 4 companies, but I had a solid gut feeling with Dry Crete's method of installation. I hired Jason and Dry Crete on the spot and am very glad that I did. Jason and his crew were amazing - they arrived on time, finished a day less than estimated, were very polite and professional and cleaned up the areas as they went. Jason's crew worked like mules to jack hammer the entire basement perimeter, removed mountains of clay and debris, brought in 3/4" stone and 8" pipes and poured a nice smooth concrete to finish the area as would a mason. They replaced the 2 inadequate sump pumps and I now have an entire basement perimeter French drain complete with 2 large inspection clean-outs that I can flush with a garden hose myself. Jason showed me how to use and monitor the system and how to change out a pump if 1 should fail. Dry Crete encouraged me to understand how my system works and did not try to up-sell perpetual maintenance contracts in order to validate their warranty. Instead, Jason taught me how to monitor and flush the system and also showed me how to change out a pump with ease. I would hire Jason and the Dry Crete team again if I ever have water issues and would highly recommend Dry Crete to anyone not quite comfortable with what the other well known waterproofing companies tell you. Although I have not gone through the rainy season yet, I can tell you that my water level went from directly under the floor to down almost a full foot. I called Jason with a question the week after the job and he came back to address my concerns within a few days. It turned out to be a pipe with condensation from humidity but Jason actively pursued the solution to the issue to make sure it was only condensation. A responsive and honest contractor is hard to find - Jason and his Dry Crete crew are terrific!Kathy D

Jason and his crew are awesome - we would hire them again for any further basement issues that may arise. He and his crew arrived on time, they did a great job with the installation and took the time to thoroughly explain to us how the system works.
Description of Work: Jason came out to do the estimate the same afternoon that I called to report flooding in the basement. He assessed the location of the water leak and recommended options. We decided to go with installing a sump pump in the area of the leak and a drain to pull any water out of the house. Pump was installed and works great!
