Drycrete was extremely professional from start to finish. Jason gave me a very detailed estimate of the work to be perfomed and spent a great deal of time explaining why, where and how things would be done. He and his crew were on time both days and finished in less time than was expected. They were respectful and professional. I couldn't have asked for a better contractor.

After a heavy summer rain, we have water seepage around the perimeter of our finished basement. After meeting with about a dozen waterproofing companies, we decided to go with Drycrete Waterproofing. Mike and Jason provided a fair estimate for the work, and arrived on time, with a crew of 5. Jason, the owner, gets involved in all aspects of the job, which is refreshing and provided a sense of comfort. They presented us with all our options and I never felt pressured (as I had with many other companies). They kept us appraised of the situation with updates as they progressed and completed the job in 1 day, as planned. They are simply a good company of hard working guys who cares about their reputation and providing quality service, very commendable. Overall I am very pleased with Drycrete Waterproofing and would not only use them again in the future, but would definately recommend them to friends/family. I am confident there will be no more water in the basement. Thanks Drycrete!

Excellent service provided- on time, quick and very clean. We had received a quote that was 3x more than what Dry Crete quoted from Basement Technologies and we were very happy that we went Dry Crete. The work needed to be done quickly and Jason had his team out within a few days after receiving a quote. They had the whole project done in a few hours on a Saturday. We have had no water issues and plan to have the other side of our basement done when our renovations are complete. I highly recommend this company.

The estimate provided by DryCrete was fair and thorough. Mike was very professional and explained the process well to us. The installation process was very easy. Jason was professional and very knowledgable about the system. He kept me informed throughout the process and offered to let me check their progress during the installation. Both he and Mike were on-site working with the crew which was great, they aren't just the sales people but they also do the actual work. The system came out very nice and looks and works pretty good so far. Jason explained everything to us regarding the dehumidifier and sump pump system so it seems easy to maintain and use. We plan to finish the basement so Jason was able to strategically place the pumps and access points to accommodate where we wanted things. They cleaned up mostly well, the process is dusty so there was a lot of dust after they were done. They didn't really clean that up afterwards so I did a once over with a shop vac.

Mike arrived to check the basement. He was prompt, courteous, and made constructive suggestions. I was impressed by his professionalism. While other vendors wanted to install a dehumidifier before even looking at the basement, Mike suggested that that wouldn't be needed, and the issue could be addressed through masonry work.

So far, our experience with Dry Crete has been a positive experience and they are very professional, prompt, knowledgeable & honest. I emailed them and they responded in 48 hours and set up a time to come out to estimate the job within 2 days. A few days later we had torrential rain and after removing things in the basement we found water coming over the wall and I called Jason that we may need a new estimate if we needed to have the foundation fixed. Jason came out the next day and evaluated the problem and noticed that the gutter downspout was pooling in that corner and gave some recommendations to fix the problem. I am looking forward to the finished product. If their work is anything like their service and compassion, I would recommend them to anyone that is having basement issues. GREAT company to deal with! OMG!!! What a great team! I can't find the right words to express how hard these guys work. They arrived at 7:30 am and didn't stop until lunch time and that wasn't until they had each leg of the process to a point where they could stop and pick up and finish the job for that day so they can mix the concrete to cover the stone and drain system. They cleaned everything up and they have to come tomorrow to lay the cement. During the demo it was discovered that the cast pipes were completely rotted through and the pipe runs under the bathroom and shower and had to give me the bad news. We needed to call a plumber as we could not use any of the plumbing. I called a friend and was in the middle of a job, so Jason called his plumber from Groton Mechanical (I will write a review - excellent). When the plumber said that the pipe was rotten all way under the bathroom and shower and we needed to demo the bathroom to repair the pipe. Jason and his team had to jackhammer the floor to lay the drain, offered to demo the basement. They worked their butts off to demo 8" of concrete on the base of the bathroom & shower. That was way beyond what they needed to do. Not to mention the sewage gas from the broken main. I can't believe how deteriorated the pipes were in the basement floor (had a feeling that they would be with the amount of water we get in our basement) and Jason and his team handled the situation with ease. They were prompt, professional, hard working, and their customer service is compared to none and I never dealt with a company that was so compassionate and honest and would go beyond their scope of service and our expectations with every phase of the process. Well, they arrived back today to lay the cement. Brought in the mixer, mixed up the cement in batches and poured it over the stone and smoothed the surface. They had the basement finished and everything cleaned up by noon. Mike went over the set up for the humidifier and the literature for the pumps. We finalized the contract and we are very pleased that we chose Dry Crete to install the french drain system. Other companies need to clone Dry Crete's business practices. They were fabulous to deal with.

What can I write that won't sound like cliches/repeating what has already been written? Jason priced the job fairly and in writing, on the spot. He then worked with me re: things I was not sure of, such as where through the landscaping to route the drain. Minor changes were graciously accepted and implemented. (IE.: Since I had my existing fairly new pump, I asked to add it to the sump as a back-up pump. No problem at all.) Jason was at the site the whole time, both directing his underlings and working himself, as well as explaining to me anything I was curious about. His workers were pleasant and polite, and they left the area cleaner than when they started.

The first day, after they moved our rain barrel into the backyard, they right away started removing a pile of asphalt and concrete that we had broken up earlier, then one of his crew broke up the rest of the asphalt in our yard, which was much easier for them than it had been for us. This was an arrangement that we had made with them because they were already breaking up concrete in our basement and would have to haul that away. After that they began on our basement. Within a few hours, the trench had already been dug around the perimeter. I was able to go in and take pictures at several intervals throughout the day and they even let my 9 year old son in to take pictures and look around. By the end of the day they had finished the trench, laid stones, put in the moisture barrier, laid pvc piping, put in the sump pump and the other stones. Jason is the owner of the company, the crew's Supervisor, and also one of the workmen. He is respectful of his crew. Between he and his crew, there were a total of 5. At the end of the day, he treated them to cold drinks from Dunkin' Donuts. We allowed them to use our bathroom while they were working and they were always polite. I highly recommend Jason and his crew. He came on time and finished well before his projected time. They were thorough and cleaned up the area leaving everything neat and clean before going home after the first day. He had anticipated ending around 4:30 in the afternoon, but he left 2 hours earlier because they had finished most of the work on the first day. The next day was supposed to be from 8-4:30, but they were completely done before 10:30 in the morning. On the second day, Jason added the outtake for the sump pump and even filled in a hole for us with a bag of concrete. I was really grateful. His crew, meanwhile, covered over the French drain with concrete and they did it in such a neat and tidy way. None of their work looks sloppy. What I appreciated about Jason was that you can tell he cares about each homeowner and goes above and beyond to help out in any way that he can. He also says to call him anytime there should ever be a problem with the pump because he can fix it much faster than having the pump sent away. I really liked that he wasn't just the person to give the quote, but also does the work himself. I wasn't impressed with other companies that I called for quotes who sent out a salesperson and gave us some kind of pitch. I didn't feel that way with Jason at all. He was even willing to give us a discount because we found him on Angie's List. We are so happy with our new basement! It feels larger and cleaner and this weekend we had a large Thunderstorm and our basement was completely dry. That is the first time ever. I'm so excited about it. Thank you Jason and crew!

I'm embarrassed it's taken me so long to write this, because Jason Kaye and Drycrete were one of the best service providers I've ever had the pleasure to work with. Jason, the owner, was super-responsive and professional from the very first contact all the way through to walking me through the work once it had been completed. We hired Drycrete in the Fall of 2012 to help us fix the water issues were were having in our basement (puddles and moisture with every rainstorm that seemed to be getting worse). Jason came out to assess the situation and then make his recommendations. He was very professional, knowledgeable and matter-of-fact in his summary of the problem and wrote up an estimate before leaving that day. No pressure. No scare tactics. No hard sell. The decision to hire him was easy. The work was done efficiently (in a single day) and without disruption to the household. Unlike some owners who you may never hear from after signing the sales agreement, Jason was present to oversee the entire job and to ensure everything was done to our expectations and agreement. Drycrete was meticulous in their clean-up, pricing was very competitive and the work, top-notch. Winter 2012-2013 was a tough one -- tons of snow -- and the Spring was a soaker. But, we haven't had a single drop of water in our basement since Jason and team completed their work.

As a new home owner over the past 8 months, I've already come across quite a spectrum of service providers with regard to the quality of services and professionalism (even with Angie's List as a filter). What I will say is that I was very pleased with Jason of Drycrete water proofing. He was responsive to my request for service, he took time to answer my questions, and the day of the job he arrived on time. Jason was assisted by one other worker. During the visit, he took time to evaluate my basement and explain the process. Upon request he also explained the other services he provided and provided an estimate for a French Drain System. I found him to be straight forward, did not push for additional services, and his warranty was clear, lifetime, and transferrable. I was curious about the process and he didn't mind me hanging around while he did the work. They used a powered hammer to remove the loose concrete, inserted a series of ports, sealed these ports in place with hydraulic cement, and then pumped in the polymer starting from the bottom and moving up only after the polymer started flowing out of the next higher port. One of the cracks was around the sewer pipe. Quite a bit of concrete around the pipe had to be removed in order to get to stable concrete. Fortunately, they were able to get all the required ports in. They had to use about 50% more polymer with this crack. Jason had noted that this type of crack would typically cost more, but he did not adjust his quote. Which was appreciated. After they finished injecting the polymer, Jason took me outside and showed me that the polymer expanded all the way through the foundation wall. Overall it was a pretty cool process which took about 4 hours to complete. We've had a very wet spring and summer and I have not seen any signs of moisture. If I am need of any additional water proofing in the future, I would not hesitate to hire Drycrete.

Jason was professional from the first contact, all the way through the end of the project. We had his assess needs of our basement based on cracks, and past flooding issues. The sump pump which was put in by a previous plumber (awful) was set up not to drain correctly out of the house. Jason and his crew installed a french drain, and offered two very helpful suggestions. One was to have the drain go right into our well outside. The other was to design the drain around our water tank, so if the tank were to go some day, it would drain into the grates leading to the french drain. I am not lying when I tell you- our 75 gallon tank (which was 7 years old and questionable) did leak 6 days later!! Was I ever grateful for the suggestion. Jason also dealt with me the whole time (female) and never once did I feel he was undermining me and he was patient in his description of why things should be done a certain way, and walked me through it with incredible respect. If there was an A+++ rating, he would get it....

The humidifier worked great and dried the basement. Jasaon called this afternoon and dropped by. After checking the basement out, there were no cracks. I told him his recommendation of the humidifier worked out. He told me I could have it drain into my sump pump and cut a piece of hose I had, attached it to the humidifier and popped out a hole in the sump pump to drain. If I have more water problems, Jason suggested a partial french drain. Jason is pleasant, knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and will not steer you wrong. I will certainly call Jason if I have any basement problems. I wish I knew about Drycrete sooner; I would have had them put in my sump pump.
Description of Work: Drycrete checked the basement for cracks and humidity level. I originally called them because I had water on the basement floor in several spots. Jason said he would get back to me for an appointment, but told me in the meantime that I needed to get a humidifier. So, I did, and Jason was right.

Granted, I called during the torrential June rainstorms we were having. But it took 5 or 6 days to get a return call, and then when I did, I got a quote of $650 over the phone to seal the crack in the wall of my basement. Apparently, they were flat out with work, so no time to come out and look at the problem. Good for them, but I expect more from an Angie's List provider.

Response from Drycrete Waterproofing
(member name removed), I am sorry you feel this way about our company. During the rains in June we had an overwhelming about of phone calls and emails coming in beyond what we could handle. We have been doing our best to get back to everyone as soon as possible and Im sorry you had to wait 5 days for a response. As far as the quoting procedure, we always quote crack injections over the phone and very rarely do we go out before hand to see a crack unless there are several in the basement and we get a feeling there might be other issues related as well. Our minimum cost for doing any injections is $650, so you feel in that category. The reason we are able to quote cracks over the phone is because they are very straight forward and we do this to keep cost down to the customers. We are a small company and are not part of a big franchise and we take a lot of pride in the work that we do as you can see from our reviews on the jobs we have done. After giving you the quote I never heard back if you were interested in having the work done, so if it is something you are still looking to have fixed please let us know and I would love the opportunity to work with you. I discovered a great deal of moisture and mold starting to build in my basement. After reading some great reviews, I decided to give Jason a call. I am glad that I did. Jason listened to my concerns about what I'm seeing, and offered an inexpensive, potential solution for my problem. No trip-charge, no-cost for diagnostics, just some good ol' free advice. For now, I'll try what he recommends. Rest assured, based on his honest and patient feedback, Jason will be the first person I call should I need to have foundation repairs!

Despite the very heavy rains of the past few weeks, we have not had even a spec of water in the basement. Prior to the installation we were getting water seepage on a regular basis. Our home sits at the lowest point of the neighborhood, so water has been a frequent issue for us. Jason was exceptionally responsive to our request for service. He immediately responded to phone calls, came by within a few days to assess the job, and scheduled the work within a reasonable timeframe. When the crew arrived to do the work, Jason was there to direct and participate. He and his men worked cleanly and efficiently. He is clearly knowledgable about basement drainage systems and was confident in his approach to fixing the problem. We would not hesistate to use Dry Crete again or to recommend them to others.

Jason was a pleasure to deal with from initial estimate through job completion. He and his crew are punctual, thorough and completely professional. During the estimation, Jason walked me through the proposal, explained everything clearly and answered all of my questions regarding the installation process. He also provided options with my estimate that gave me flexibility with some of the other services I needed to coordinate for the entire project (plumbing, demolition, masonry). At the project start, a larger than expected Drycrete crew arrived and they completed the two-day job ahead of schedule. Prior to start and at the midpoint of the project, Jason would walk me through what would be done, any progress and what was left to do. Most importantly, he and his crew were mindful of reconfirming all details before execution (e.g. placement of the external drain-pipe / where he planned on drilling through the fieldstone foundation, bulkhead stairway threshold drain placement). He and the crew were also helpful in dealing with some minor unexpected conditions that are inevitable with a 100 year-old house. Overall, I highly recommend Drycrete and can only hope that in the future I can find other contractors that aspire to the same level of professionalism.

I've owned my home for 17 years and by far Jason was the most responsive, punctual, professional contractor I've dealt with in all these years. The estimate provided was spot on and very reasonable for the amount of work needed, even with some of the additional last minute changes I threw at Jason. He even threw in a few extra, very beneficial items to make certain my water problems were a thing of the past. Jason showed up exactly when he said he would and the job was completed in a very timely manner. His crew was extremely attentive to leaving my basement so clean and neat you would never know major work had just been completed. I can say without hesitation, I would recommend Jason and his crew for anyone needing to waterproof a basement. I cannot express enough how happy I was with his services.

This was a top notch customer service experience. From the very beginning of the process, Jason struck a great balance of making himself available without being high pressure. He also offered to be reachable by phone in the evenings in case my husband had questions for him. Scheduling with Jason was easy, and he was great about confirming dates and times. In addition, Jason needed to coordinate the job with a radon mitigation company, and he was terrific about following up on this. The work happened exactly when scheduled, and the guys on Jason's team were courteous and hard working. The system seems to be doing the trick, and we could not have been happier with the experience with Drycrete. I wish that all house projects could go this smoothly!
Description of Work: Jason and his crew installed french drains around the entire perimeter of our large, unfinished basement. They also coordinated with a radon mitigation company to connect the drains to the radon mitigation system.

basement waterproofing

During a heavy rainstorm in the winter, we encountered water streaming down our bulkhead steps into the basement. From our Angie's List search, we called Drycrete Waterproofing. SO happy with them from start to finish! Project Manager Jason Kaye visited for an initial inspection of the work to be done. He outlined an ideal drainage solution for us and patiently answered our many questions. We set up an appointment to implement the work, and Jason himself returned with his crew. I liked that Jason is a hands-on crew member, rather than simply a "sales-face," like those we've encountered with other companies in home-improvement projects. To me, that adds credibility in that he truly knows the ins-and-outs of his business. The team installed a sub-level sump pump in our basement floor, which will conduct any future water outdoors. They implemented PVC piping out through the foundation and underground in the lawn to an export location far away from the house. They connected the underground piping to several of our gutter drain spouts as well. The entire installation took less than a full day. The Drycrete team are clear professionals who work efficiently. And after they left, it was hard to tell that they had even been there, as they replaced the outside lawn and plantings and smoothly re-cemented the basement floor, just as they had been beforehand. Since then, we've had several rainstorms to test the new drainage system. With the drain spouts now networked underground, we no longer have pooling water close to the house, which allows us to sleep easier at night. We have not yet had a storm so severe as to test the sump pump, but are confident that the right solution is in place, for whenever Mother Nature knocks again on our basement bulkhead door. I've already highly recommended Drycrete to family and neighbors, and will continue to do so.
Description of Work: (a) Installed a sump pump at the base of our bulkhead stairs. (b) Installed an underground PVC-pipe drainage system to conduct water away from the house (c) Sealed a wall crack in our basement
