The installer arrived on time and was very helpful, and stayed later even though it was a Friday to be sure everything was set-up correctly. The installer was great. The service works well, although it goes down about once every other month and I need to de-power the main FIOS box and reboot. Comcast went down about once a year. When I reboot, it comes right up. I can't say for certain it's the FIOS box, it could be something in the router on my end. Verizon sometimes offer deals online when I log it, but when I try to take advantage of it (e.g., $5 upgrade in speed for one year) it never works, and I call up Verizon on the phone and they say, "oh, this special won't work for you because you don't have triple play", or something similar.
Description of Work: Switched to Verizon FIOS internet from Comcast, due to a two year special.

When they installed the services, an excellent technician came in and provided all the services. He did it in a very timely manner. He was on time as promised. I actually run two businesses out of the house, both of which are connected to their services. They provide very good service.

They are ok they are about the same as the others. They are not the greatest but cable is worse.

II want a copy of the alleged contract that I signed. I want an itemized final bill. Still have not received either.
Description of Work: I am 80 years old with very poor eyesight. I purchased a Droid phone from Verizon through Staples. Big Mistake. I can't see the screen. I was not told I have a certain time period to cancel. In fact Staples scheduled a training session after my time period had expired. I was charged $75 per month for a service I could not use. i decided it would be cheaper to cancel my two year contract than to wait until it was up. i don't remember signing a contract and did not receive a copy of it. I have asked Verizon to send me a copy twice. Still not received. I cancelled the beginning of June. I was told they could not cancel it until the end of June. I was also told the cancellation fee would be $330. I received a bill through E Mail for $356. Again I asked for a copy of the contract and an itemized bill. I cannot see the bill over the internet because since the phone number was cancelled, they claim they have no record of it. i was told by a representative, the additional $26 was for a tax. I asked whose tax and was told it was Verizon's. In attempting to resolve this problem, I was told I could transfer this service to my Jitterbug phone but would have to go to a service center. I went to the Service Center and was told it could not be done. They they suggested I mail the phone back to them and I would receive a Verizon card for $80 with which I could buy another Verizon phone. I asked them if I would be charged a cancellation fee on the Droid. They answer was yes along with an activation fee on the new phone.

I liked Verizon. I've been with them for like 4-5 years. It was just very fast and they never had a single problem with cable.

.I am very happy with them. They have been consistently proving the best service of other providers. A lot fewer dropped calls. One time I was having trouble with the phone I just took it to the store and they took care of it.

Easy. This is the second time I've had to call in two months. The first time, there was crackling on my line so bad that I couldn't even hear conversation. The line was repaired but I was advised that since so many of the cables are old the problem might arise again. This time, I report the problem at the first sound of crackling because I knew it would get worse. Verizon responded incredibly fast. My line was repaired in less than 24 hours. Best of all, I didn't have to be home. I did everything on the internet and didn't have to wait to speak to anyone.
Description of Work: Verizon sent someone out to repair the outside phone lines. I had requested the repair the night before via the internet. The repairperson came in the morning but I had thought I'd been given a 6:00 pm repair time for later that day. He contacted me on my cell and took care of the problem quickly.
