LAR SVC CTR INC

I would like to review this company but am uncertain what review to give. They were sub-contracted out by the company I have my warranty with (Sears Home Repair) because Sears was too busy to do the repair. LAR took 6 weeks to finish the repair (Sears usually would take 2 weeks). LAR came out the 1st week they were called. THREE weeks later returned to install the part. Could not install the part because they were MISSING another part. SIX WEEKS from when the appliance broke it was repaired. It worked well for TWO DAYS ONLY and then it DIED. Sears came out to see it and attempted to fix it. After replacing multiple parts and another SIX weeks had passed, they declared that it could not be repaired. Did LAR that messed it up or was the appliance just not repairable? I don't know. All I can say is that it took 6 weeks for them to complete the repair and then it lasted 2 days. Sears in the past has been able to repair this same appliance in just 2 weeks and it would work for quite a while / never failed immediately after repair. This time Sears was NOT ABLE to get it to work AT ALL after LAR repaired it. Coincidence? Someone's Fault? or Just time to Fail? The technician at LAR seemed OK but cannot give this company more than an "F." Don't know, even if the appliance was working today, the fact that the repair by LAR took SIX WEEKS (so long to complete) I could not recommend them.

Whirlpool service assigned L A R to me for an in- warranty repair of my fridge. The repair was not completed because L A R failed to make good on their appointment and gave inaccurate and unhelpful information over the phone. Whirlpool service scheduled me for an appointment with L A R as their authorized repair shop, and said that L A R would call the day before to set an estimated time of arrival. One day prior I heard nothing, so called L A R directly at 4pm. They had no record of the appointment, then after checking their computer, found my name address and warranty information as supplied to Whirlpool. L A R then said they had no available appointments. When I complained, they said they would schedule an appointment and have the technician "work some magic." The day of the appointment no sign of a technician and no call. At the end of the day I called L A R and they said I was on the repair appointment list on the last spot, and they gave me a cell phone number for their technician. I called and left a message. No show and no call back. Three days later still no call from L A R or the technician to explain why they did not show up. In the meantime I have scheduled a new appointment with a different repair shop.
