Scheduled an appointment for Saturday morning for immediate plumbing work (toilet) and to provide quote for sump pump. When they didn't show in the morning, I called and asked for status. The main phone was forwarded to "Dave" who seemed very put off that I called. He told me that he had no record of my appointment and that he would call the office and call me back. He called back only to question me, "Who told you could get hot water heater work done today?" I again explained that this was for a toilet and he said he would get back to me. After another hour passed I called "Dave" back and left a message asking that he call back and confirm whether or not anyone would arrive (and to simply please call me either way so that I could get on with my day). He never called back. When I called the office on Monday to inquire, the customer support rep. simply kept repeating, "We have been in business for 19 years" and "things happen." -------------------------------- UPDATE: Received a letter from 128 Plumbing & Heating on November 19, 2010 stating that they improperly processed my credit card for work done in MARCH 2010 and would charge me in December 2010. Their error caused me to go through each credit card statement from March, April, May, June, July, August, September and October and work with my bank to confirm that this charge had not already been processed. This error, in additon to their failure to show up for a schedule appointment as described above, ensures that I will neither be working with nor recommending this company again.

My experience with them has been very good. If this hose had broken and we weren t in the house it would have flooded my family room and ruined my carpet, amongst a lot of other things. Ultimately, they saved us thousands. You can go through the hassle of waiting for someone to come out that might be cheaper, but if you really want something fixed and fixed right these guys are awesome.

They sent somebody out to replace two faucets upstairs and the guy didn't shut off the main water valve when he did it. There was a lot of damage to the kitchen. I didn't pay them and actually they tried to have me pay for all of the work to fix the water damage. I refused and would never recommend them.

They did everything right. They were professional and straightforward. The price wasn't the best but I thought it was reasonable for the work that was done.

The service tech forgot to turn off the main water shut-off before he took off the faucet. As a result, water came pouring through my living room ceiling and caused extensive damage. I had to have the ceiling replaced and some electrical work. They only offered to fix the problem they caused after I was really persistent with them. They finally had a company out about a week later and the company ended up cutting an electrical wire cut while they were attempting to fix the damage. They even sent me a bill for about $900 for "water clean-up". Lastly, they took off the valves under my sink without telling me and tried to tell me that they were the problem. Very, very, very unprofessional and I would never use them again.

I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD BE CHARGED $49 JUST TO GET AN ESTIMATE. I GAMBLED THAT THE PRICE WOULD BE REASONABLE. THE WORK WAS DONE IN LESS THAN AN HOUR AFTER GIVING THE ESTIMATE.

I CANNOT SPEAK HIGHLY ENOUGH OF THEM!!! THEY TOLD US STEP BY STEP WHAT THEY WERE GOING TO DO, WHAT THE COST WOULD BE, WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS, AND KEPT US INFORMED ALL THE WAY.
