Description of Work: took longer then what was expected but all in all a great job

Description of Work: Replaced the water heater.

Description of Work: I brought them in for a standard A/C tuneup (Normally $189). Matt, the tech there, installed my system in 2013, so he knew it well. During the inspection he identified there was a hole in 1 piece of flex which was pulling in blown in insulation which was leading to the louder running A/C. He identified a fix and also recommended another part, a whole system air purifier given the allergies my family members have. | |The system is fixed and quiet as anything and my family is commenting on air quality. | |A great company, with great staff.

Description of Work: They serviced my central a/c for the summer. I was told what they would be doing and what the cost would be upfront...they were neat and cleaned up after finishing....150.00

Description of Work: We had our gas furnace maintained and started in the fall. We received excellent help, information about our system, and suggestions from the plumber they sent out Matt Reid.

Description of Work: I actually cannot rate their service because it never happened. I called 128 to get a quote on doing a conversion from Oil to Gas. 128 clearly has the experience - their President came out to do the evaluation and stated that they did 1500 conversion's last year alone. They came out for an evaluation 4 weeks ago - I have yet to see the estimate. The GAS company asks that you fill out a form for them - which I did - but I had one question that I needed their assistance with - a question on sizing. I called 128 to see if they could help me - they said I could send them the form and $250 and they would fill it out and send it in for me. I told them that I would like to see their estimate before I actually sent them money - 2 weeks later - still no quote. I received 2 other quotes - and went with Peterson Plumbing - who is HIGHLY ranked on this site. When the owner of Peterson came up to quote the job - i received a price estimate at the end of his inspection. He explained that the price would not be MORE than what he quoted. Once the gas line was put in he would give me a formal quote - which worked fine for me.. I called Peterson to for an answer on the sizing question - no $250 charge - and he explained why the gas company was asking and told me what to submit. | |128 also stated that they had a good relationship with the Mass Save organization (which I don't doubt) - and that they could set up an appointment with Mass Save for me and help move me to the front of the line (since Mass Save is booked "months" out). When I decided to go with Peterson - I called Mass Save - got an appointment for the next day - less than 24 hours from my call. I don't know if I was just lucky - but one phone call from a novice like me and Mass Save was there the next day. | |I don't know if 128 has too much business to cover - but the quoting part is the easy part. If you do 1500 conversions a year - you are literally doing 5 quotes a DAY just to cover the deals you are winning. In my business - I have a similar repetitive process. I know within 5 minutes what a deal is going to cost - after you have done it several THOUSAND times - there isn't much mystery. Do things go awry - sometimes - but that happens AFTER you begin the job - it is not something you know about when you are quoting. I should add that Peterson and 128 spent the same amount of time walking the job - so the gathering of the information was the same. | |128 might do killer work - but to get them to give me a quote - that just couldn't happen.

Description of Work: I used 128 plumbing to do a regular maintenance check and cleaning of my boiler. Quick, easy and professional. I'd use them again.
