Description of Work: John Leblanc from Ironstone replace our old water heater and tank with a tankless system, a Navien. John stopped all of what he was working on to install our new system. The install was flawless and he had the system up and running in about 2 days. | |John clearly discussed the Mass Save Loan program here in Massachusetts and the nice $1600 rebate offered by Mass Save on systems that are 90% efficient or better. This made the decision for spending so much on a high-end system a bit easier. | |There was a bit of a disconnect, though, when getting in touch with him about getting the payment check to him. He took a while to get back to us. | |But overall, it was a favorable experience. I would recommend John and Ironstone Plumbing & Heating to anyone looking for quality plumbing work.

+ -1 moreCalled just before the Christmas holidays, new stove arrived and was left without stove when new one was taken away. I was not able to do the hook-up since the gas line was too high and on the wrong side. Emailed Ironstone and got a quick response the next morning and he came out that afternoon to move the line and hook it up. Very easy going friendly service. No tricks, no surprises.
Description of Work: hooked up a new stove. Involved moving the gas line as well.

+ -1 moreThe experience with Ironstone Plumbing went perfectly. We called then after finding them on Angie's List. We were able to schedule an appointment a couple days after calling. We decided on Ironstone because they are a local, small, family-owned business that has multiple favorable reviews. Josh, the owner's son, stopped by first thing the morning. He arrived on time and was ready for work. The plumbing issue was rather minor and Josh diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in about 15 minutes. Josh was prompt, professional, and very efficient. The cost of the job was $75. Some contractors charge more than that for just showing up. We will call Ironstone again for future work as needed.
Description of Work: Repair a worn gasket/grommet in kitchen sink that was causing a leak.

+ -1 moreI was very happy with Ironstone Plumbing. We had to wait till he had a slot available. He is very, very good. It is quality work; it was very good. The owner came out and supervised the work to make sure it was done. He was very helpful. I would recommend him. We had to buy all the supplies ourselves. The owner comes to the job site to supervise his guys and check up on the work. I would call him back again, not a problem. He was highly recommended to us from our friends.
Description of Work: Ironstone Plumbing put did a face lift to 2 of our bathrooms. They put in new piping, fixtures, and new toilets. We also had some stuff done to the showers and tubs.
