The entire project went very well. We went to their showroom to gather information and later for a design consultation. All visits were done by appointment, so we had individual attention from one of the owners and there were no competing sales going on, even during our initial visit. At all stages, Patty Ramsey, worked with us, showing us options and helping us narrow down our choices. She asked us about how we work in our kitchen and helped us think through where we would want certain features, including the appliances we were ordering. The showroom was very helpful for seeing our options both for appearance and for function. She was also clear about pricing -- including which features might not be worth our while. Once we had settled on our designs, she provided copies of the plans not only to our builder, but also to us so that we could use them while we worked with other contractors. She was also available by phone when we had a couple of questions. The results are wonderful. The final cabinets and counters match the plans, and there were no problems with the installation, which happened very quickly (Note, though, that this was new construction, so they did not have to work around anyone living in or using the space other than other contractors.) The cabinets are solid, and every drawer, cabinet door, and shelf works beautifully. Country Craftsmen was the cabinet vendor recommended by our builder, and we have been entirely pleased with the results. We would use them again.

The whole experience from start to finish was great! I got three quotes; two semi-custom and one from Country Craftsmen for full custom cabinets. To my surprise, CC's quote was the lowest. I met with Patty to discuss the project and came away feeling that this was a firm that I'd like to work with. After signing the contract, she and Billy came out to take measurements and discuss options. I met with Patty several times to refine the plan. She had several good suggestions...things I had not thought of. She managed to incorporate some of my more "unusal" ideas, while dissuading me from a few that simply weren't going to work. It was a pleasant and cooperative effort. The day of the installation, Billy and his assistants showed up on time and worked quietly and efficiently over the next day and a half to install the beautiful cabinets and crown molding. One glitch did show up when we went to install the wall oven, but Billy came up with a clever solution within a couple of days. As he said, they stand by their work and would have done whatever it took to make it right. I highly recommend Country Craftsmen and would definitely work with them again.
