+ -1 moreThe steering wheel would jump in your hands when you hit a bump. Dana found that the steering rack had been replaced but the old degraded bushings were re-installed. The car was also down on power and the engine was surging. This was due to a sticking auxiliary air valve, which I was aware of, but also due to an intake manifold leak. Tearing down the entire top of a Jaguar V12 would make most mechanics cringe. Not Dana. He also replaced the injector hoses, which were cracked and in danger or causing a fire. He fixed the problem which was causing the ABS light to come on, which was a bad front caliper. He replaced the license plate lenses, which were cracked (I had bought some new ones). He even fixed the AC. I am sure he fixed a dozen other things too. Dana is exactly what I needed...a knowledgeable guy (who has some even more experienced part time friends/mechanics to help) who is easy to deal with and who can take care of my Wife's dream car. I dropped off a car I wouldn't let her drive and picked up one that I was confident was as safe as I could reasonably make a 25 year old Jag.
Description of Work: I had extensive work done on my Wife's 1990 Jaguar XJS convertible. I had found them online...heard about them...but hadn't contacted them until I got a personal recommendation from a gentleman who rebuilt an engine for my Dodge Charger, whom had worked with the owner, Dana, at Wagner Jaguar. I called and the owner, Dana, picked up. We chatted for quite a while..and I ended up dropping the car off a few days later. I really wanted the car to be safe again and deferred maintenance was really a problem.
