Saw Dust Construction

I had to fire the guy. They were supposed to do windows, carpentry, and some demolition work for me. They seemed pretty flexible to do a lot of projects, but I had a suspicion that they didn't really know what they were doing with windows because they showed up to the job site without all the tools they needed. They also had trouble getting the windows in and when I questioned them about it later the owner was hostile to the idea of me questioning what they were doing. Once I expressed concern they actually walked out of the house while I was in another room and I never heard from them again. I had the windows done through another contractor and they had to take out the ones that they did and then told me that they didn't measure for them properly and that was the reason they couldn't get them to work.

The guy who came out just seemed like he was really not interested in the work. He was more interested in his company.

Marty actually built our house in 1997-1998. We have continually used him to provide additional services where we added on to the house or repair certain items. He therefore has worked for us for more than twelve years. He is a very capable carpenter. Even though his office is not close to our home, we always call Marty because of his knowledge of our house and his dependability.

Our experience with Saw Dust began with demolition - the care and time that they took to complete this work was a sign of things to come. Marty and his team are skilled and meticulous craftsmen. We ran into many challenges along the way with the construction - things that could not be executed as smoothly as was planned with our design drawings. At every turn, Marty was a patient, solution-oriented man, and it was reassuring when he offered a suggestion and said "it would look good" you knew you could trust him. Marty and his team are reliable, heads-down and focused in their work, however, no matter when I would show up to see them, they always greeted me with a smile and pleasant demeanor. They were patient in explaining things to me (sometimes multiple times!) but I knew that they cared about their work and that they were truly experts, so they earned my trust and any future business I may have!

Worked with the owner of Saw Dust Construction (Marty) on the possibilities that were available for the rennovation/restoration. He was very patient and willing to provide different options as far as build design and price. Marty and his crew work hard and seem very commited to their work. Very punctual. I dealt witth many subcontractors throughout this project and Saw Dust Construction was by far the best to work with. A very hard working, knowledgeable, and honest builder. There is no doubt that if I had do it again, I would hire Saw Dust.
