Call them to get the trees removed. The guy was very rude. I hire him anyway because I want to get rid of the trees. He told me to call the cops to redirect traffic during tree removal and said it would cost 250. It end up costing 375 just for the cops. He said the total was 2300 but charged 2500 after the work was done. Would not take a check but didn't let me know before hand. They wrecked the front yard. Tire tracks all over the lawn. All the tree stumps are not grind and now I'm stuck with them. I wouldn't recommend this guys to my enemies. 1/5 overall rating.

R K Tree Services was hired by a neighboring property management company for long-overdue trimming of trees. Instead of trimming our trees they cut a 35+ foot tree down, leaving a 6 foot tall stump (entirely inside *our* property line). When I contacted the company they insisted that they had the right to cut down anything overhanging the neighbors property. When I pointed out that the tree's base and the cut portion of the trunk were entirely inside our fence they claimed that it "sprang back". The apartment building has a rusty old chainlink fence: if the tree were pushing on it as suggested the fence would have broken. I pointed this out to the company owner, and told him that they should have spoken to us before doing anything so drastic to our tree. He hung up on me. I will be pursuing this with the property owner; the property representative who was called to the site was apologetic, and I believe the instruction did not come from the management company but was an extremely poor decision by the tree service.

Two days he stood us up for cutting down 2 trees! The first day he was suppose to be at our house, he called up 1/2 hour before he was suppose to be there and canceled because some guy didn't show up with his truck. So when I called him to get a better explanation, he starting raising his voice and said that I was asking him too many personal questions and that I'm trying to run his business... in a real arrogant voice! Then the next day that he was suppose to be here, he called us at 7:00 am to tell us that he'll be here at 8:00 am... but he never showed up! That's Very Rude! So I didn't get the work done by him, to say the least. I would never recommend him to anyone!

Overall a good experience. They showed up on time and did the work in a timely manner.

I called around to a few tree services in the area, some didn't call me back, others said they would not take down a white pine for some reason. I then called RK tree service o get an estimate and ended up postponing the work for a few months for no particular reason. I had been referred to them by a number of friends. They drove by one day while I was at work and then called me to provide an estimate over the phone, $400. When I finally called them back a few months later to do the work, they had remembered the location and price and said they would be able to come out and remove the tree the next week. The day before they arrived they called me to verify the appointment and also suggest that if I wasn't going to be home to mark the tree just to be safe (which I did with a red plastic ribbon). I arrived home from work that day to find the tree and all debris had been removed, it looked great! They gave me the phone number of another business that they work with for the stump removal which as an additional $65 but I knew that cost was not going to be included in this work ahead of time. The only thing negative I would say is that it would have been nice if they were able to do the stump removal for me but the person they recommended was great.
