It was great! They did it safely, professionally and for a good price.

Rich was very responsive and came to give us a quote quickly. We wanted the work done before a party on July 4, and even though he was dealing with schedule changes due to weather, he got here before that date. After the shrubs were removed, we wanted to add stump removal to the project and he sent someone over immediately...like, within 15 minutes! We would definitely use Greenleaf again in the future.

Rich and the entire Greenleaf's team were friendly, professional, and hard-working. We live on a busier road, and when their previous job kept them longer (client asked for more trees down), they evaluated the safety situation and decided to reschedule. Rich was prompt (immediate) in contacting us to reschedule. When the team came again (a day or two later), the job was amazing to watch. They took the trees down. Even more amazing than the tree removal was the cleanup. My yard was clear of debris, as though a tree hadn't been removed. That was impressive. They were efficient, and I appreciated that!

My experience overall went well. He was very professional. The pricing was reasonable. I feel like he may should have discussed the cutting of the trees before actually doing so to make sure it was ok with Wetlands regulation. However, he did do what we asked and we were pleased with the work provided. I would highly recommend this company to others.

He came two times to complete the job. He arrived with crew promptly on time and the work was performed efficiently and professionally. No mess was left in our yard and driveway. we would definitely be willing to use this company again or refer them to friends.

All trees were removed flawlessly. Stump grinder did a great job as well. When the time comes to remove some other trees, I will absolutely call Rich!

Showed up around 7 AM got right to work. Rich left his team of 3 to the job. Two on ground and one in tree. I asked Eric about one large limb that had some rot. His assessment sounded good and it was removed. Left a couple logs from the limb for campfire. Maple tree trim looks good , much more sun in yard and no branches near house to cause any more mold. Oak tree trim was trimmed to quote. Was asked if OK and they gladly took a little more off when I asked. Over all good work. Bucket trunk left grooves in lawn but that is to expected. Has been a wet season. I was amazed he was able to get into yard. They cleaned up chipping very well. (Squirrel's nest too!)

Rich was very quick to respond. His workers were very polite. He called after everyday of service to make sure the work during the day had gone well. He actually sent a thank you note because I was an Angie's List member!

Initially contacted owner, Rich, on May 30, telling him what I wanted done. Rich came out to my house that eveinng, assessed the job and provided me with a fair, written estimate right away. The job was completed on June 4, as scheduled. The crew arrived one hour late...not sure why. The work was performed as quoted. The crew was courteous, efficient and left my property immaculate. Rich called me during the evening, after the job was completed, to ask how everything turned out. That meant a great deal to me...follow up is always key to good service. I would recommend Greenleaf's Tree Service to others.

I had Rich and his company recommended to me by a co worker of my wife. Rich was prompt in responding to my call and was out the next day to look at the job and give his price. His team arrived on the day and time that was promised and promptly took care of the work, cleaning up afterward. I would use Greenleaf's again for their customer service, professionalism, quality of work and industry knowledge.

I’m actually going to use them again. I liked the quality of their work. They cleaned up afterwards and the price was very competitive.

Rich was punctual, extremely knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Discussed tree #1 and agreed on pruning. However, he recommended Acorn to deal with the tall pine tree and called them himself before leaving. He did not give a quote for pruning tree #1, although I would have been happy to have him come back for that alone.

~The price quoted was the price charged (police detail included) and was very competitive ~All services needed were arranged by Rich (owner of Greenleaf's) ~The job was started on time and finished an hour early ~The site was cleaned to nearly spotless ~and the Home Depot card was sent without a mention/reminder on my part Rich is not much of a schmoozer, but he knows how to run his business and gets that job done right. And when he says they handle hazardous tree removal, believe it! What more could you ask for?!? (Can you tell I was impressed?)

Rich came out at 7AM (before I left for work) at my request to provide an estimate. The price was reasonable and the job was done a couple of days later. They did a professional job and left the site cleaner than when they arrived. I won't hesitate to use Greenleafs again.

Rich gave an honest assessment of the trees on our property, suggested treatment by an arborist for a large spruce and gave a referral, and then recommended removal of a damaged tree and several limbs from another overhanging our house. His estimate was very fair. His team came on time and schedule, did the work superbly, and cleaned up afterward. I will definitely use them again.

Greenleaf was there 1/2 hour before sheduled start of 10:00 AM The foreman on the job asked what and how much we wanted pruned off the tree over hanging the garage. The other dead tree was around 2 fences but these guys had no problems at all taking this dead tree down and no damage to either fence. In about 3 and a half hours the guys were done and the yard was cleaner than before they started.I would hire these guys again in a second. Professional, on time, and great cleanup. They also piled up some firewood for me on the side of the driveway.

A huge 100 ft pine tree needed to be assessed as a 30ft+ branch had fallen after Hurricane Sandy. Also needed two dead trees removed as they were overhanging the driveway and could potentially fall anytime. Rich came to our home in Acton a couple of days later to assess the damaged trees and gave us an estimate for the job. He advised us that the damaged pine tree would need to be removed as it could be hazardous in the future. We liked Rich so agreed to his company doing the job. He called back later to schedule the date they would be having the work done. On the day of the tree removal, Rich called to confirm a time frame of when they would be there. The job was quite difficult as the team had to get the crane down a long narrow driveway and then set it up next to the house without hitting the power lines. Rich's team all had specific jobs to do and worked well together so the job was performed safely and efficiently. Overall they did an excellent job and I would recommend them for any tree work.

He came out the same day for the original quote. Rich was amazing -- better at follow up than I was -- calling to check in to see if I had decided to have the work done when I was delinquent in calling him back. He kept me informed at each stage, letting me know exactly when his crew would be out to remove the tree and later when they would return to grind the stumps. I couldn't have asked for any better service.

I've had extensive tree work done by Greenleaf's for several years in a row. They've also delivered truckloads of good firewood and beautiful wood chip mulch, which I've used for years in my gardens. The owner, Rich Gambale is great to do business with and I've recommended him to several friends and neighbors.

They were very good. They came and got the trees down, and cleaned up after themselves. They came when they said they would.

It was a terrible experience. I called them to come out and give me an estimate on 1 tree removal, some yard waste removal, and needed 2 trees cut down and removed. Rich told me he would come by on Friday so I took the day off from work because he scheduled at 11. They never showed up and I waited here all day. They didn't even have the common courtesy to call me so I lost a whole day's pay. I will never use or recommend them to anyone. I should bill them for my lost wages.

After consulting with Angie's list, I asked for bids from three companies, including Greenleaf's. Rich responded right away, came within a day to look at the job, and presented the lowest bid. The low bid was attractive, but of equal importance was the fact that Rich convinced me he was a well-informed, professional arborist who cared about doing the job well. I expect he will be surprised to learn that one reason I hired him was not because of his neat car or his Cornell degree, but because he admired a small beach tree kids in the neighborhood love to climb; he even suggested that the tree might be of interest to a nursery or arborist looking to develop similar beach trees. I thought that was a very cool idea. We asked Rich to delay the job while we coordinated work to replace our septic system, and we had to revise the final contract as we learned we needed to add the very large maple to the job. I found that communication with Rich was easy, as he has a cell phone, uses email comfortably, and has an informative website. i find that other companies are not always as easy to deal with. Rich and his crew of three showed up promptly when we agreed, and they came well equipped with a bucket truck, chipper, and supporting trucks. Rich's crew impressed me with their skills and the cooperative way they worked, beginning immediately with the trees that needed police for traffic supervision, so that the policeman spent a minimum amount of time on the job. They moved on in a logical sequence of making use of the bucket to take down limbs and high portions of mature trees, carefully using ropes to pull the falling trees away from the house. Safety was clearly a concern in their use of equipment and safety devices. Eric did all the high work, and he supervised the job, but the men working with him clearly took initiative as well. A bad northeaster moved in the first day, so we had to negotiate with Rich to complete the work a couple of days later. The crew showed up as planned and worked hard for another full day. They admitted that the largest maple was more of a job than they had expected. The stacking of wood, the chipping of all the loose branches, and the raking and blowing of the work areas left the property as clean as one could hope for. We are now looking for help with splitting five or six cords of wood later this year, a job Rich's company doesn't do. We would not hesitate to hire Rich's crew again, and we would give him and his men our unqualified recommendation to others. Very professional work for a fair price!
