Al's team was punctual, professional, completed the work on time, and did a very clean, high quality job.

I had a great experience with Al and his team, including Kelly the Office Manager. Kelly was very responsive and ALWAYS called right back if she missed my calls. Al was extremely knowledgeable about heating/cooling systems and many other home improvement projects that he gave me advice on. I was inexperienced with this type of projects and had many questions. On my first call with Al to give him an idea of what I wanted, he immediately steered me away from an expensive and over the top heating option I was considering. Al gave me an estimate on the spot for the various plumbing related projects I was considering and walked me through my choices in equipment. When I committed to having Al do my project, I felt very comfortable with my decision and reassured that it will be done well. His team showed up on time and immediately started work. They finished one day later than planned because of an unexpected personal matter of one of the technicians and Kelly immediately called me about it and was very apologetic. Although this small delay didn't matter to my schedule at all, I really appreciated that Kelly kept me updated with any issues. I think that was great customer service. There were a couple of challenges to this project. To insulate the pipes, Al's team had to access the other condo unit's side of the divided basement and climb over piles of storage items to access the pipes that run through there. I felt really bad, but Al's team was not disturbed by it and did the job well. The other challenge was drilling holes through the exterior basement walls for a couple of furnace vents and signage and wires/piping for the condenser. During that exercise, a few shingles cracked as those were tough cement shingles (as opposed to wood shingles or vinyl siding). The other unit's owner pointed out the cracked shingles to me after the project was completed. The shingles were not expensive to replace and I understood it was tough to drill through those shingles without cracking them. My only advice would be for Al's team to notify his customers immediately if something like this happens. I am sure they will really appreciate it. This was the only issue I ran into during the whole project and obviously a really small issue. Overall I think Al's team did a great job. Before installation, I had some concerns with the equipment that Al recommended (the Maytag M1200 models) due to some negative consumer reviews I read online. I talked to Al about my concerns and he reassured me these equipment will run well when installed and maintained properly. I've now used the system for both the A/C and heating functions and they work great so far. I also had concerns with the humidifier system due to a bad experience in the past. Talked to Al about my concern as well and he explained why the one he wanted to install is better than others. The humidifier is working great too so far. During my walkthrough with Al, he explained the system, answered all my questions and showed me how to perform some basic maintenance steps myself. He also spent a few hours testing the system. The other small project, converting my cooktop from electric to gas went great too. Al gave me advice on the type of gas cooktop to purchase and the required venting system to comply with code. That was great, as I probably would have bought the wrong ones. During Al's project, I also had the GM put in new flooring. To do that the GM needed to have one of the toilets removed. At a very short notice, Al's team was able to take care of that. Again, Al and his team did a great job and I will definitely have them service my heating/cooling system in the future and other plumbing projects I may have.

After inspecting our new heating system Al had some great suggestions for preventing the system shut-off and we will heed his advice and have him do the work. Our consultation was valuable to us and we look forward to having Al complete the project soon.

Al suggested that the radiator pipe valves may just need a repair and not replacement and that we should start with a repair. He resealed and tightened the valves and ran the heat as best we could in the 90+ degree weather=) I am confident that if the repair did not correct that Al will stand by his work/recommendation. I appreciated that he took the time to explain some issues related to steam. I felt that he was "present" in "my repair" while he was there and interacting with me. I feel very comfortable to call on him in the future.

All the work went great. Al, George, and the rest of the crew were friendly, on time, and respectful of the home. After making the first call, they got back to me right away to schedule the repair. Al was able to come out within just a few days of me calling. The final cost of the projects was exactly as estimated, and they even knew about manufacturer and state rebates and filed the paperwork for us. All the work was performed as requested, and the follow up customer service was great. Kelly from the office called and sent an email to make sure that we were satisfied with the service.

We found Al to be very knowledgeable and helpful from the beginning. He answered all of our questions and spent the time we needed to understand the process of replacing our heating and cooling system. He also helped us decide which system was best for our needs and did not push the most expensive one. The work was done done on time and everything was cleaned up before they left. The guys that came to do the work along with Al were also polite and professional. We had gotten a few other quotes from different companies and found Al?s prices to be average. The entire experience was very positive though, and we are happy we choose him to install our new system. We would defiantly recommend him!

In our investigation of replacing our heating system we asked many questions. A Fagundes responded to every question in detail and provided options to suit our needs as opposed to other companies we met with that just said yes we will replace the boiler and did not show interest in solving our heating issues. We were replacing the oil tank and they scheduled the job for when the oil ran out so no waste of oil or extra $$ especially with the price of oil these days. Our project was scheduled for 3 days and the crew showed up every day on time, were very professional and answered questions throughout the project. They tested the primary functions of the boiler and heating/cooling units to make sure everything was working properly before they completed the project. They removed the old equipment and left everything spotless so that you would not even know they were there. Overall we had an excellent experience and plan to use A Fagundes to service the equipment and also service our existing central air system. Al and his team are very professional and great to work with, we would highly recommend them for a heating/cooling project.

We didn't hire Al directly - he was a subcontractor of our general contractor. We met him when our HVAC system wasn't working and we couldn't figure out why. Turns out there was air in the lines from the boiler, which Al figured out. There were some issues with the equipment as well, which took a few trips to figure out as it is a large system with many zones that interact with the HVAC system. We did finally work through all the equipment and air bubble issues and now the systems is up and running well. Al was very responsive to text messages, and responded quickly around Christmas when we discovered a leak (the floor guys put a nail through one of the radiant pipes). Al fixed the leak quickly. I wished we had found more time to walk through the system operation more thoroughly (as it's hard to find time to read manuals with 3 very small children in the house!). Al was able to walk us through most of the problems with text messaging and came back in person when we were unable to resolve an issue.

Al's team from top to bottom were extremely helpful from the first time we meet them in the completion of the project. Polite, professional, personable, clean, effective and efficient.

We were experiencing a lot of issues with various plumbing fixtures in the house. There were 2 leaky toilets and the guts had to be replaced, then kitchen faucet started to leak, noticed a small puddle on the floor in the basement below a water line. I had noticed the water pressure was strong when first turning on any faucet and then it would back off. I knew something was wrong so I logged on to Angie's List to find a plumber. I read reviews on Al Fagundes Plumbing & Heating that were all positive so I gave him a call and set up an appointment. Al came out to the house on a Friday late afternoon and listened as I described to him all of the weird water related issues happening in the house. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad home water pressure reducing valve. We then walked over to check out the water heater and were shocked as we looked at the pipes coming into the water tank - they were both buckled at the bottom leading in to the tank and the solder was gone around the base of the pipes due to the high water pressure in the house! This was a bomb waiting to explode (literally). The water tank needed to be replaced right away. Al sent me 3 quotes the following morning for 1) pressure reducing value 2) a conventional water heater and 3) a tankless water heater. We needed to replace the valve and decided to install the tankless water heater. Al's guys came out first thing Tuesday morning and replaced the water pressure reducer valve, installed the tankless water heater, and hauled away the old water heater tank. They were professional and polite and cleaned up after all of the work was performed. They tested the water temperature and made sure I was happy with the results before leaving for the day. Al called me a couple of hours later to follow up on the work and to make sure I was happy with the work performed as well. He also let me know that there was a rebate for high efficiency water heaters available through Liberty Utilities. He submitted the paperwork for the rebate as well! I was very happy with Al's quick response to the problem, courtesy, and professionalism.. I would highly recommend Al Fagundes Plumbing and Heating.

Al Fagundes and his team are extremely capable. Everyone we worked with was courteous and professional. The quality of the work was top notch with no detail left to chance. We had two relatively complex projects and Al and his team did a fantastic job in delivering great upgrades to our home. Al is very knowledgeable about HVAC applications and can help in not only a top notch installation but also in designing a system to suits the needs of the homeowner. Called A.Fagundes because we saw a stain on the ceiling in our entry way which suggested a leak from our master bath. Al came out to check it out for us to determine where it might be coming from. He spent a good 30 mins here looking for possible sources for the leak. We wanted to avoid cutting into the ceiling to repair the leak so he left me with some instructions to try to pin point the leak. After doing all the steps, it seemed that the valve was the first place to start. One of his technicians came out as scheduled, fixed the valve and so far so good. I was pleased that Al didn't immediately suggest going through the ceiling....that would have been a lot more costly and time consuming, and very happy that he didn't charge me for the time spent trying to figure out the source on the first day.

Things turned out well. They were able to provide all the services that I needed. They were very friendly as well. They ended up having to come back a few days later because when they put the toilet back together it did not settle properly and there was a leak. They responded quickly and did not charge for the repair. They were in and out of my home quickly as they knew exactly what was needed to fix the repair.

They did not perform any work for us, but the quote and answers to the solutions began with a phone call. We continued to communicate through emails and phone calls, until a solution was found. The entire process took 2 days.
