I had used this provider at my house and they had installed wood flooring on my stairs and done some carpentry in my kitchen in order to install some new appliances. The floors stairs came out well and after a couple of visits and redoing some of the initial carpentry work my kitchen came out fine as well. I recommended them to my mother who needed to get her laminate floor fixed since it was creaking and separating due to a leak from a water heater. Initially they weren't sure they could fix it but gave a quote that was based on two people for two days for $750 to pull up the flooring, put in new floor sheets and reinstall existing laminate. The two individuals who came to do the work were unsure if they could fix it and after spending a couple of hours on the phone with their boss and talking about it to my mother they decided to go ahead. My mother paid the agreed upon third amount of the quote before she left. When she returned they were gone and the problem still existed and there was no note left to say what happened. After my mother called the provider, she finally got a return call and was told they had done the best they could. So my mother essentially paid $250 and the problem was not solved.

He came to look at what I wanted done, gave me some ideas and said he'd send me an estimate for installation. I never heard back. It's been 6 weeks, I called him and I e-mailed him but no response. Perhaps he decided the job wasn't big enough? Perhaps he doesn't have the time? I'll never know! I think some kind of response is not too much to ask.

Very pleased. Jeff worked with me and explained the work he would do, and offered several options on ways to keep costs down. Was punctual and responsive. When replacing the entryway door, he first installed a plastic enclosure on the inside of the house to reduce the amount of cold air infiltration, and to keep construction debris confined. Concerns I raised before the work began were addressed.

First contact was on October 18, 2014 - sent an email to have Jeff come and look at job Jeff came out the following week to look at work that needed to be done, met with my wife and reviewed the work. My wife really liked him, super nice and seemed genuinely interested. He said he would get back to her with an estimate. We did not hear back from Jeff so my wife called for an update. Said he was really busy and had not had a chance to the estimate but would work on it. Did not hear back from him so my wife called again to find out if he was still interested in the work or let us know if he was no longer interested. She followed up on Novemnber 19th with the following email. I also sent an email on October 31, 2014. No calls back or return emails. Super nice guy but would have appreciated any kind of feedback even if Jeff was no longer available or interested in doing the job. Very frustrating and unprofessional. Hello Jeff, I have not heard back from you regarding the estimate in putting a beam and rail up yet. I have received another Estimate from a contractor but after meeting you, I was hoping you would be interested in doing the the job. Please let me know if you are not interested so I can make other arrangements to get the work done by Christmas.

Since this is essentially a one man shop, he is difficult to communicate with. This was frustrating, but he seems to be a busy guy. Once started, the job went as expected, and the quality of the work was excellent. It came out exactly as I had hoped, after about 3 days of work.

It was a very positive experience. Jeff was very responsive. He came out and looked at what needed to be done, made very thoughtful and practical recommendations for repair, materials that should be used, e.g. composite, or re-primed pine. The job was started much sooner than I expected, and completed quickly and efficiently. Jeff Parker's communication skills are extraordinary. He was in touch every step of the way, letting me know if he was going to be late, or asking if he could drop off materials on a day when he wasn't expected. I have dogs, and some of Jeff's work was within their fenced yard. He was so careful about keeping the gate closed and patient when the youngest dog insisted on enthusiastic greetings several times a day. As he worked he noticed small,but important things that needed attention, and he dealt with them, I was amazed. When replacing the trim around my garage doors he removed and remembered to re-attach the keypad to the door opener. When replacing corner boards on the end of the house he removed and re-attached a flag holder and everything seemed to be in the exact same, original place. MOST importantly, the items he replaced were attached more securely and professionally than they were originally - particularly the vinyl gate that manages entry [and exit] to the dog's yard. Each day Jeff and his son setup a work area in the driveway, and each evening they broke it down and swept the area, and removed all scraps and debris. It was comfortable and easy to have them working in and around my home. I would wholeheartedly recommend Knock On Wood to anyone, and I look forward to working with him again.

The owner is very professional and has assembled a number of other skilled persons to work with him on a job. Each person was professional and had a pleasant attitude. Questions were answered with patience and thoroughness.

Jeff was very pleasant, on time everyday cleaned up after himself so when I got home from work other than seeing progress in my kitchen you would never had known he was there.

Jeff installed a window in the side of our house to give us more light in our kitchen. He took great care in sealing off the work area so as not to have plaster and saw dust flying everywhere. He vacuumed and cleaned up everything at the end of the day. The window is airtight and secure and the storms of this winter have given this window a battering. Jeff was friendly, professional, and highly skilled at what he does. Highly recommend him and will certainly hire him again.

We couldn't be happier with the end result! Jeff warned us from the start that a new kitchen was one of the most stressful renovations, but he explained each step in the process and prepared us for what to expect. Jeff has an exemplary work ethic and took great care in keeping the work area clean and making this disruption in our daily lives as bearable as possible. He was a pleasure to have working in our home and we now have a beautiful new kitchen to show for it!

They had to pull out all the framework and replace the wood in April of 2010. He also did vinyl siding a few years later. I would hire him for other work. If the job is not done correctly, he would redo it. He does a great job. He is extremely responsive.

As always Jeff did not disappoint. He did a great job on the bookcase and it's a great addition to our room. His trim and finish work was excellent and the doors downstairs fit perfectly. I am so pleased that I have someone like Jeff that I can call on when I need projects done. He replies immediately and always follows through in a reasonable time. His estimates are fair and he uses very good quality products.

As I said above Jeff did an excellent job and I am very pleased with my new floor and with the work that he did.

They did an amazing job, totally exceeded my expectations & they cleaned up every day so I never came home to a horror show.
