Custom Design Sunrooms

Did not go with custom design. The owner of the company hired a surveyor that produced an incorrect survey. Wrong measurements. The owner then took the bogus survey to the Town to get a building permit without telling us. He also did not compare his survey to our survey that was done in 2010 for an inground pool. His survey was incorrect and showed our pool in violation by being too close to the lot line. The Town building inspector issued the building permit but noticed the discrepency in surveys. The Town threatened to have us fill in our pool due to the new bogus survey measurements. To add insult to injury the owner of custom designs accused us of changing our original survey. Who the **** does that? We saw the owners survey upon request and saw the owner's surveyor made a huge mistake. So the owner now knows his guy screwed up but refuses to give us deposit back after we said we didn't want to do the project with him. We gave him a refundable 1,000 deposit. The owner was refunded the money from the Town for the building permit, He won't give us our deposit because he says we owe him for his time and the bogus survey. When the owner realized his survey wrong he said he would just change the #s on it to be correct, is he ok in head? That is the exact thing he accused us of. He either has dimentia or he is just a crook that does shotty work.

Built a beautiful 12x14 feet sun room. |At the start, I was very impressed with John's honesty. He spent a lot of time explain in detail and worked very closely with us on the design of the sun room. Before we sign the contract, John brought us to one of the recent sun room they built in my neighborhood and have us talk with the owner alone. |The project went very smoothly and they did the work very professionally. Our ranch style home had become too small to meet the needs of our growing family. After sitting down with John Storella and discussing our ideas he provided us with a couple of options to consider. John also provided us with the opportunity to visit two of his existing customers, ask them one on one questions about their experience and see their finished rooms. Actually seeing what we were getting made it much easier to move forward with John. The project started the end of last September 2012. We told John we needed this space for the holiday season. The project was completed mid November 2012 as promised. Terrance, lead builder, stayed focused, loves to be left alone when working and did a great job framing/building the room and deck. My home has cedar shingle siding. I was very satisfied with how Terrance tied the two structures together. It looks like the sunroom was always there. The contractors John brought in to insulate and plaster the room did an excellent job as well. I did the finish painting and had hardwood floors installed. Yes, we love this room.

everything went great.it was a pleasure working with the general contractor(dave harris). he did many extras along the way for us & had a lot of great ideas that we used in the process.I FOUND THIS COMPANY @ THE HOME SHOW IN BOSTON , MA, & RESEARCHED IT ON ANGIES LIST & WE ARE THRILLED TO HAVE HIRED THEM.

They did good work at a reasonable price. They were very accommodating about changes and add-ons. Also replaced our windows. They fell down a little bit in dealing with the town building inspectors at the end of the job.
