+ -1 moreI did send a check for the last amount and wrote a letter stating that the amount was high for snow I did not get, and that I was canceling my snow removal for the rest of the season. I, also, said I had checked with several of my coworkers from nearby towns, NH, and Worchester and they all stated the charges were high. I did say that I, only, needed the left side of my 2 car garage cleared [entrance from road 1 car width] .They cleared both sides instead and plowed the snow to a turnout to the right in the driveway. I did, also, state that I did appreciate that they had done a nice job of clearing the driveway. A few days later the office person called to talk to me about this but she kept going over the "National Operational's Hydrologic's Sensing Center's" levels. I told her I was not going to argue about their levels but it was Andover's not Tewksbury's. I said I was not going to pay $500-$1000 for the year for snow removal I do not get for a short driveway, and that I was canceling. I thanked her and I hung up.
Description of Work: The charges were $110 for 12-14 to12-15 and 12-17 to 12-18 , and $125 for 1-2 to 1-3. I felt I was charged high amounts for a driveway of 37 ft. [about 2 car lengths] for snow levels I did not get on my driveway in Tewksbury. Their office is 0.4 mi. from my house in Tewksbury. They charge by the snow accumulation levels according to "National Operational Hydrologic Sensing Center", but their readings only are recorded in Andover and Wilmington. They went by the Andover's level not Wilmington's [which was lower]. They charge: 1-3"-$35 4-6" -$45 7-12"-$50 13-16"-$60 17-18" -$65 19-21"-$75 22-24"-$85 24+"-$125 I, especially, had an issue with the last charge of $125 for a, supposed, snow level of 24". I got 12 to maybe 18" at the most . 24" would have been about 4" over my knees and, nowhere, did I have that walking all around my driveway or yard. I had shoveled my front walkway and parts of my backyard and nowhere was the level over my knees. UPDATE (2/2/2014): A few days after submiting my review I received a check for $65. They stated that there was a" typo" of the snow amount level on the "National Operational Hydrologic Sensing Center" so the total charge for the last snow plow was $60 [for 13-16" snow] not $125.
