Fair - Poor. It took a long time to get our issues resolved. It would have been better if he took time to explain the source of the problem from the outset. Never felt like we were getting an honest response from the him. UPDATE: I am being told by our new service provider that the installation was done wrong (wired incorrectly). In addition there is leakage from the system. It's going to cost me a bundle to fix.

David McKinnin, owner, showed up while we were gathering bids from other services, on Saturday during a heat-wave. while he waited patiently for another service company to depart, David inspected the entire system, found the problem & repaired my ailing unit, and to date has not charged me for this extra service including freon replacement. David provided us a bid to replace the 25 year old condensor and unlike others, promised a 1 day turn around returning Monday with the new unit. Kevin and company, a family owned business, worked tirelessly for 8 hours during a brutal heat wave. They were punctual, professional and helpful explaining everything that would be taking place. His price was excellent and was not only competive but $2k-$2.5k less than the other proposals. Once we determined the best sized unit ,associated accoutrements and cost, David was more interested in getting to work than hounding me for payment. Tho they get 2/3 up front on day of arrival, I had to ask him 3 times when I could pay him! His work was efficient, he cleaned up afterwards and performed service I didn't know I needed (n/c). I encourage people when reading Angie's List reviews to make sure you are researching the correct Subzero. there are many nationally named Subzeros and a couple of othe local companies. David's company uses upper and lower case when spelling the company name, and are located in Taunton MA only.

Subzero Heating and Air Conditioning installed a new heating and air conditioning unit at our home. They have been only moderately responsive and have failed to identify or remedy the problems we are having despite numerous service calls. They are providing a warranty on the unit for the next year so we will use them during that time frame, but will seek a new vendor after that. UPDATE: They came to fix the ongoing problems we've been having and actually made things worse. Air is now flowing out of the intake vents for the HVAC system.

They replaced our furnace but they were hired by another company that was doing some work for us; so I don?t know what we paid. We were much less happy with them. When they started, they put the exhaust pipe out by the side of our foundation. They kind of got half way done and said they would be back the next day but they did not come back for three weeks. In the meantime, it rained and leaked in the house. The other thing we found out later was that they had installed without a place to put an air filter; so we need to get that fixed. I am not sure why they did that. Overall, the communication with us just wasn?t there at all. We would not use them again in the future.

They have excellent prices, and they are well below everyone else. I was skeptical at first because of the price, but they did a great job. They were also prompt.
