 + -1 moreI do not recommend Sears for appliance repair. It did not cost anything because they were completely inept. They did not bring part they needed, when they ordered the part they shipped it to the wrong place and then they could not find my place. I told them just stop. I had taken 3 different days off of work to have them come and it was not working.

 + -1 moreGood service and very competitively priced. I called around to other chain shops that perform the types of services that Sears performs and they are usually the least expensive. Service is very good, no problems with the work they did. Very punctual as well. The jobs I had them do each took about a half a day. If you don't have a personal mechanic or you need your car before your mechanic can get to it Sears auto is who you should call.
Description of Work: Coolant lines on 03 Kia Sedona, Brakelines 04 f150, brakelines 98 jeep cherokee.

Description of Work: We purchased an LG refrigerator 5 years ago and were not happy wiith the previeous service prpvider that LG sent representing them for warranty works shortly after we bought it from Home Depot . So when the freezer stopped working today, I called the old standby, Sears Appliance Service. What a mistake! Who are these people now? Their 800 number lead me to sme call center with a person with heavy breathing into his head set... he ask me the same questions twice... then told me my appliance was covered by their maintenace warranty which I could buy for $500. When I said I don't want that , only service, he said that the ice maker was at fault and I would have to buy a new icemaker.. How can he make a phone diogniosis over the phone?. All scare and an imediate push to sell a service contract... No way.. Ihung up on him.. Good bye to Sears!!

Description of Work: I actually would like to be able to give a better review, since the guy who showed up today, was nice, clean and punctual. The reason I cannot give a better review actually has to do with my first scheduled apptment. I scheduled an appointment online for service for my dryer. The first appointment was scheduled for 10/8/12 between 8:00am and noon. As of noon, I had received no call and no service. At around 4:30, I got the automated call that the technician was on his way. However, he never showed. When I called to reschedule, I told this story to the person who answered, but the response was a somewhat insincere "we're very sorry to hear that ma'am" and nothing else. My previous experience with Sear's repair was excellent, so I will likely use them again.

Description of Work: Washer repair was scheduled on August 31, 2012 for an appointment on September 4 between 1pm and 5 pm. At 5 pm the automated system placed a phone call to our home informing us that the technician would not be able to arrive until 7 pm. Due to family activities we were forced to reschedule our appointment for September 6 between 1 pm and 5 pm. Once again we received the automated phone call informing us that the technician would not be able to arrive until after 7 pm. We attempted to rectify the situation by having Sears Customer Service re-route the technician but were disconnected during our phone call. Sears did not return the phone call to address our concerns. We looked on Angie's List and found a technician who was rated A's across the board to arrive at our house within 15 minutes. We will not be using Sears for any of our future purchases or repairs.

 + -1 moreThey set up an appointment within a day or two after you place the request and they come when they say they will come. They are very good and professional. I have been very happy with them. They are a lot more reasonable. I have used them in the past. I am going to use them for everything. I rate them high overall.
Description of Work: I use Sears repair service for many repairs. I go to their website and click on home repair. They send out a team of their guys who come and repair any appliance I want them to repair.

 + -1 moreThey initially quoted me about $1900, and I paid $1800 for it. Sears has a price matching policy, by virtue of which, if you find the same product cheaper within a certain amount of time - 90 days in this case - they ll match the price for you, and lower it accordingly. They didn t have the policy 5 years ago, but I see it now, and I ve bought all my appliances from Sears. The experience with them was excellent. I went in to buy a certain brand of TV, and I got an associate to answer my questions. I ended up buying another brand, because it was higher in quality, and had the same price that I had budgeted for the television.
Description of Work: I bought a hi-definition TV from Sears, and I am very happy with them.
