He was patient as I asked questions about every little item. i felt extremely comfortable about moving forward with the purchase at the conclusion of the inspection. Steve is a true professional who takes his role very seriously. He arrived 30 min before the scheduled time. He is extremely through and went through every minute details related to the house. He took time to explain his assessment for an item and encouraged us to ask questions. He answered all of our questions to our satisfaction. His answers were supported by logical arguments. We could see that he was very experienced and has very good understanding of house construction process. Throughout the 4+ hours process, he was very calm and relaxed and that helped us to think of our questions. He is equipped with quite a few gadgets that helped him decide conclusively on certain things. For e.g., when we were sure that certain plank of wood was soaked in water, he could take readings of the moisture content and compare it to that of dry wood to convince otherwise. He provided us complete report very next day, with quite a lot of information about general house maintenance, which is over and above the findings of the inspection. We were extremely satisfied with Steve's work.

The inspection was incredibly thorough and very informative. We arrived early and the inspector was already there getting started. He talked us through everything he noticed during the inspection, providing lots of detail and frequent opportunities for us to ask questions. The inspector pointed out which issues are common issues with older homes, and which were specific to this house. He took lots of pictures and offered us access to all of the photos (which we never took him up on), in addition to including relevant photos in the inspection report. Our inspection was in the afternoon and we received the very detailed report that same night. The price was a bit high because of the extras we requested, but it was well worth the money!

Steve was quick to respond to inquiries. When I tried to book an appointment on the Inspections Plus website, all appointments for the week had been booked, so I emailed to see if anything was available and he responded promptly with an opening. Steve was at the appointment before I arrived, already inspecting the exterior of the home. He answered my questions during the inspection and provided a detailed report the same day. It was the second time I used Inspections Plus and I would use them again if I needed another home inspection.

Steve was very thorough and knowledgeable. He explained everything in great detail and provided a very detailed report with pictures and suggestions for repairs for both now and in the future. The report was emailed the same day as the inspection. Steve also made it very clear that while he does not perform any repairs, he will always be available for questions or advice on repairs in the future.

Stephen showed up to the house early and had already done an initial walk around the house prior to our arrival. He took us around exterior and interior of the house and showed us everything that was in need of repair or maintenance, and gave us many great tips on how to maintain the house. He taught us things about our future house that we might not have known otherwise. The same day, Stephen emailed us a very professional, very detailed report describing everything we discussed during the inspection and more. Stephen was a pleasure to work with and we will definitely be referring him to friends and would absolutely hire him in the future.

Steven was a consummate professional. He arrived at least 10 minutes early (he was there before we arrived) and he had already started to walk around the home and begun to identify some points. Steven engaged both my wife and I throughout the inspection, taking the time to explain his observations with the right level of detail and patience. He generated the report within the same day, including all of the details he patiently discussed with us at the conclusion of the inspection. If/when we need another home inspection, the provider selection will be a no-brainer, and we will definitely strongly recommend him to friends and family.

When I was looking for a home inspector, I turned to angieslist to find one. After reading the reviews on Inspections Plus, I contacted them and received a response back the same day. I chose Inspections Plus because of the positive reviews and after using them, I have to say the reviews were 100% accurate. Steve was early to the scheduled appointment. During the inspection, he did a great job of explaining what he was looking for and what he found. He was thorough in his inspection of the house and I had a detailed report with pictures the same day. As a first time home buyer, it was helpful to hear from Steve which issues were of major concern and which were of lesser concern. After looking at many houses, I thought I had the home I wanted and put in an offer. It was accepted and I contacted Inspections Plus to do a home inspection. I'm glad I did, because the inspection revealed several major concerns about the house that I had not seen prior to putting an offer in, including mold in the basement and attic, as well as clapboard that was not properly installed. I used the information garnered from the home inspection to look into approximately how much the major concerns would cost. Ultimately I decided not to purchase the house. Although disappointed that the house did not work out, I am glad to have learned about these major concerns before investing into both the cost of the home and the cost of the necessary repairs. I will use Inspections Plus when I do find the right house.

Inspections Plus was thorough and knowledgeable. Punctual and professional. Our home report was delivered in a day or two and has been helpful for planning repairs etc.

Steve performed a comprehensive inspection of a modern, single-family home I intended to purchase. He arrived well before the appointed time (I was a little early, and he was there before me), inspecting the exterior of the home, so that he could start giving me feedback right away. Inside, we started with the attached garage, then moved on to the basement, where we went through every nook and cranny, and took a close look at every major mechanical and electrical system. We moved on up through the house, checking every room, appliance, fixture, etc. Throughout the process, Steve was completely professional while being friendly and approachable. He not only pointed out safety concerns and items that needed remediation, but also provided general advice on how to maintain and update items that were functioning properly, which was extremely helpful to me since this is a larger home than I owned in the past, with different systems and materials. All told, we spent about 2-1/2 hours going over a 4BR/3BA 2500-3500 sq ft home. That night I received his comprehensive report, outlining all of the issues and recommendations he had relayed in person, plus some additional ones, along with full-color photographs, copies of the relevant standards and bylaws, and severity ratings to indicate how soon things needed to be addressed. While Steve is not the cheapest around, I gave him an "A" for Price because the better inspectors, of which he is one, all charge a bit more, and his prices are definitely competitive with that group.

Steve is friendly, professional and punctual. WIthin an hour of my request for a home inspection he responded with a potential date/time within the same week. He arrived on time for the inspection. I am a first time home buyer so Steve was kind enough to explain the process to me prior to beginning. He was exceptionally thorough, pointing out structural details (pros/cons) that I never would have noticed. He identifed a few issues that were not disclosed to us - namely prior/possibly current water, vermon issue in basement and prior water damage in living/dining room. The full report, including photos taken, was emailed to me and my realtor the same day. Overall, I am very pleased with the services provided and would highly recommend Inspections Plus to a friend. I am also very likely to use them in the future.

The inspection went very well. We were there for 3.5 hours in a 3,800 s.f. home. He discovered some knob and tube wiring in the attic that the sellers thought had been removed in 2004. He also provided the buyers, first time buyers, with tools and methodologies that will help them in their home ownership. I can no think of anything he should not have done. As an agent of over 30 years and a veteran of many home inspections...he stands out amongst the top. My clients for whom I work were completely satisfied.

We went through the entire house and he looked over everything with a fine tooth comb, even better was the finished report he sent me within two hours of our appointment. I was very impressed with all the work he did.

When I first called Steve, he was very informative about the home inspection process, and walked me through the whole process about what he does and does not do. When it came time for the home inspection, Steve was about 10-15 minutes early and to expedite the process, he didn't waste any time taking a look at the exterior of the house. Once I arrived, we walked around the exterior of the house again and pointed everything out. He walked throughout the property at a casual pace and I never felt like he was in a rush. I think he would have answered a thousand questions if I had that many. We received the report within 24 hours, as promised. The inspection report was very thorough. He also did a Radon test for us and he even spoke with the home owner in a very respectful manner to inform them of what needed to happen on their end in order for the results to come back accurate. If we ever move to another house, we will call Steve up in a heartbeat!

Buying a home is a daunting task but after utilizing the services of Inspections Plus we felt relieved about the choice we made. We chose a home that is not very typical. It was built in the 1820’s. The knowledge possessed by our inspector, Steve Gaspar, was extraordinary. We are not knowledgeable in home repair. Steve took the time to explain how the house functions, and the various aspects of this specific home. He gave detailed explanations of the water heater, furnace, chimney systems, electrical wiring and much more. This company was very professional and communicated detailed instructions on how to prepare the home for inspection. I arrived to the house 20 minutes early and the inspector was already on the roof inspecting the chimney. The report was very thorough and we received it within 24 hours allowing us to read it over and utilize the information to negotiate. The report included many pictures of the home and that provided more leverage in negotiations. You have many choices when buying a home and the decision to use Inspections Plus was by far the most important. We are very excited to buy our first home and feel much better about our purchase after the use of this company. We appreciate all the hard work done by Steve Gaspar.
