When they did the siding, they went over everything with me, they did an excellent job. They were prompt, they also cleaned up very little nail and shingle . He did an excellent job the second time around as well. It was flawless. I would recommend them to my friends and family. They also put tarps down everywhere as well to help keep our yard safe.

They did everything they said they were going to do. They were on time, nice, and cleaned up after themselves. We highly recommend them to others.

In the dark hallway, I decided to have a skylight put in to provide natural light. This meant going through the roof, etc. The inside and outside area around the skylight was very skillfully finished. About two years late, a leak developed around the skylight and I called the company. They responded immediately and fixed the problem. Another two years went by, and another leak came. The owner of the company said that leaks around skylights seemed to be a common problem and he was sorry I was experiencing this difficulty. Again they came and fixed the area. I appreciated the fact that the company stood behind their work and was very willing to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. I have had other experiences where a phone call is never answered or problems taken care of. I know that Fortin Company will always answer and fix whatever may be wrong. I have great trust in this company.

They were extremely professional!!! Initially, the contractor came and took pictures of the area to be worked on. He was able to show me exactly why the roof was leaking and what they would do to stop this. There were two areas - one involved replacing a rubber roof over the carport and the other involved the main roof which was leaking around the chimney area. Instead of just putting a new roof on the carport - they completely removed all of the old roofs (there were several that had just been placed on another). The cleanup of this removal was complete that day and no rubbish was left in the yard at all. They then put an insulating layer on and then the new rubber. As there was a skylight in the roof, they replaced that and made sure the inside was as finished looking as the outside. I happened to look out the window while this process was going on and saw one of the workers cleaning the gutters as well. I considered this as something beyond the necessary and was extremely grateful for that extra service. They took pictures of the area around the chimney and determined that the vinyl siding had been installed in a slipshod manner (they were not the company that had installed the siding). They again showed their expertise - they removed the vinyl around the chimney, placed double flashing in several areas to stop the leak. I then saw pictures of the finished work and was quite impressed. The work is now finished and I am so pleased and relieved that there will be no more leaking. I have used this company before on other jobs and they stand by their work completely. I had a problem once and with one phone call the workers were here the next day to fix the problem. I will call this company again if any more work is do be done as I am very happy with what they do.

The company replaced four windows with double glass vinyl windows. The work was done so professionally and both the inside and outside were carefully finished so that there was no indication that anything had been done. These windows have been in place for over 20 years and I have never had any difficulty or leakage. At the time, I really appreciated their suggestions as to the best windows to install for the lowest cost without compromising quality. I also appreciated the fact that every time they came inside to work they removed their shoes so that there would be no dirt tracked in. Even the first day when the owner came to discuss the work his shoes were removed. I remember saying something appreciative about that and the owner Pete said that he considered it necessary since he didn't know what was on the shoe bottoms and didn't want any dirt to come in from them.

B & Fortin was one of three contractors we contacted for an estimate for replacing our gutters and downspouts, removed and replaced fascia boards, removed and replaced a threshold and framing. Since they were also a painting contractor we requested an estimate to paint the house. We asked them to quote because they had replaced our roof a few years ago and we were pleased. A representative came to our home on 8/15 and walked the house and I explained what we wanted done. He took notes and said he would work on the estimate that night and would mail us the estimate in a day or two. When I had not heard from him by Friday, the 18th, I called the office and left a message asking about the estimate. I did not receive a call back. I called the office again on Monday, 8/21, and again on Wednesday, 8/23; none of my calls were returned (they had our home phone and my work phone). We decided to go with another contractor this morning who provided our estimate 2 days after seeing our home.
