+ -1 moreIt went very well. I would not want anyone else to do work for me because he can be trusted. He shows up when he says he will and finishes his work in a timely matter.
Description of Work: AJ has done all kinds of work for me. He re-did my bathroom with bead board and it came out wonderful!! He did it all in one day. My house is filled with great things that AJ has made for me. I love the up-cycle look and AJ has a keen eye for that too. He made me a corner shelf from an antique door, a toilet paper holder from an old table leg(and a pan cover for the base). I have a jewelry box made from old shutters...I could go on and on about the fun things he has made. He also made new doors for my cellar and shed. They came out perfect! He re-made an old turntable that was broken in my kitchen. I love how it came out. Do not hesitate to stop in his shop to see the unique designs he comes up with. I could spend hours in his shop.It is amazing how he comes up with some ideas!

+ -1 moreIt went wonderfully! AJ was so good with my curious kids and dog, and he was on time, tidy and quick. The door was not prehung, and AJ did all of the surrounding dry wall as well. He was very reasonably priced, and answered all questions knowledgeably and courteously. He also makes beautiful humidors, we got a custom one for our best man several years ago. I would highly recommend AJ at Halfmoon Wood Gallery.
Description of Work: I needed a door moved from a hallway into a bedroom.

+ -1 moreI am very pleased with AJs work. I'm so happy I went with the crown molding as I was just considering having a box put over the pipes. He did a great job and it really finishes off my dining room. The other trim work was from work I had done last year to my kitchen. All these molding jobs turned out very well. He is a very personable man and I have already hired him to do some more odds and ends next week. So happy to have found him! Last year AJ did two jobs for me. I met him as he was the carpenter for a woman who does stained glass repair. They had to take the window out and fix it off site. AJ handled the carpentry aspect of that job and in addition he built a storm window for the outside to protect the window from the elements. At that time I got to talking to him and found out he was a furniture builder. He took my black wood shutters that were literally falling apart and fixed them for a super good price. The slats were missing and the paint was peeling. My house looks so good with the stained glass window fixed and the shutters look awesome.
Description of Work: AJ provided woodworking services including crown molding in dining room and covering pipes, finish trim in 3 different places in kitchen and some molding in upstairs bathroom. Last summer I had AJ fix my wood shutters that were literally falling apart! and he was did the carpentry portion of fixing my stained glass window.
