great. John Spokis was so easy to work with he solved our radon problem quickly and effectively. took a couple hours to install two pipes in unfinished parts of basement and run pipe along exterior of house. Radon level went from 5.6 to 0.5. HIGHLY recommend radon systems.

When John first came to provide a quote he quickly recognized and explained what limitations I was faced with when putting in a replacement system. Given I have a small brick house and many skylights throughout he discussed options and details. At the end of the review he came up with a great solution that worked for my unique home while staying at the same price point that we originally discussed. Very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. When it came time for installation Dave did an amazing job. He explained everything from beginning to end and had no complaints when he had to do work up in my attic which was extremely small and with blow insulation. I highly recommend this company! John was great about promptly returning my emails with any questions I had regarding the system install. The installation process only took about 3 hours, and the worker showed up on time. Our original radon reading during the home inspection was 4.8. We just received the results from our post mitigation system reading and the new level is 0.4. We could not be happier, we highly recommend this company because they were great to work with and provided the results we wanted.

In May of 2013 I tested the Radon levels in my home and discovered them to be well above recommended levels at 22.7pCi/L. I researched vendors on Angieslist and settled on Radon Systems LLC of Sutton, MA. to assess the situation and develop a remediation plan. A technician came to my home, installed the system, explained how it would work and how to monitor it going forward. I then retested the home and Radon levels were reduced to 0.5 pCi/L, well below recommended levels. After several months, I noticed the vacuum reading had changed and retested the basement. The new test results indicated Radon levels at 15.2 pCi/L and I contacted Radon Systems to discuss the results. The owner of the company "John" came to my home and installed a larger vacuum pump to increase the movement of air from below the home in hopes of getting radon level back in to acceptable levels. All work is guaranteed and provided at no additional cost......John was very professional and easy to work with throughout the process......he promised to work with us until everything worked to our satisfaction. Unfortunately, the larger pump made little difference to the next radon reading and he came back again to install a second sub floor ventilation system in the center of the basement slab.......something that is rarely needed with most homes. The additional vent did the trick and reduced radon levels down to 0.4 pCi/L. Again, all additional work was included in the original price and Radon Systems LLC stood by the guarantee. I would highly recommend this vendor to anyone with high radon levels in their home.

We bought a new house in mid-January, and had already conducted radon tests, which resulted in multiple elevated-level readings. Since I knew absolutely nothing about radon mitigation at the time, I called the first few companies that came up in a Google search. The one I ended up talking to sounded reasonable at first - he explained how the system works, and how much it would cost, around $800, less than I expected. He started talking about the "hidden install" option, which would cost an extra 300 by venting through the roof, within the walls or going through the garage. Once he started going over some of the "extras" i started getting sketched out. The one that really got me, was the "power fan" option for an extra $200-ish. The "power fan" is essentially a decent fan that has a warranty and can get the down to as low as possible. Why in the world would you even offer a fan that doesn't get the radon down as much and fails after a couple of years??? Total scammers. The experience prompted me to rejoin Angie's List, I had been a member when we were buying our first house and it helped tremendously. Sure enough I came across Radon Systems LLC which had unanimously great reviews. I called up and spoke to John - he was very pleasant, described exactly what we'd need (and he only used an industry-standard long life, high quality fan) and able to schedule an appointment only a few days away. Also, his proposal came in at a few hundred less than the scammers after all the extras, and his system was still a lot better. When John arrived we walked the house then made a detailed inspection of the basement. He clearly described everything he would be doing, and why - which cracks he would seal up, how he would seal up the sump hole - leaving it fully functional - and how we would route back up the back of the house to the roof. When I raised concerns about how that would look cosmetically, he checked out my garage and said he could get the pipe through from the basement into the garage, then out the garage roof. He very considerately explained that this does cost more, and why - so this was not another sleazy up-sell attempt. At the end of the job he walked me through how every component works, what I need to pay attention to and what to do if we have any issues. Needless to say I was very impressed with the service John and his Company provided and would highly recommend Radon Systems LLC.

I had a radon problem in the new home I purchased. Since John remediated my old house and did a good job, I called him to do the same again. He does an excellent job. He will always review the options and then makes sure to put the system in the place that both looks hidden and provided proper remediation. I would recommend Radon systems to anyone looking for this service. They give you a test afterwards to retest and they guarantee their work will result in <2 reading. Highly recommend!!

John helped trouble shoot a tricky radon problem in the home I just purchased. He was patient and accommodating, especially given there were some changes in dates on my part because of closing issues. His professionalism and responsiveness made this a stress-free process, and after just purchasing a home, it was nice to have something stress-free! He and his apprentice were personable and explained everything in a clear and respectful manner. I would highly recommend John for any radon issue you might be having. He will talk you through the process and come up with the best, most-cost effective solution. UPDATE: I just got my first radon test results back post-mitigation. It went from 4.0 to 0.9 in just two weeks!

John arrived promptly to quote the system. He was pleasant and knowledgeable. I wanted to route the system inside the home to avoid an external stack. This wasn't a problem. He quoted the job verbally and was $100-200 cheaper than past quotes I had obtained. His installer showed up promptly on the date scheduled. He and I discussed the planned installation and he began. Partway through he realized that the plan needed to change. So he came upstairs (I was home), discussed the needed changes with me and obtained my approval, and completed the work in a timely fashion. He cleaned up the interior dust an debris from the core drilling and the floor drilling and the work was done far more neatly than I could have accomplished it in about 4 hours. I certainly would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to my friends. Bob

Can't say enough great things about this company. John was very responsive and knowledgeable. I was concerned they may not want to travel to my location as I am an hour + from Sutton, but it was no issue - said they do all of Massachusetts. David who did the service was equally as knowledgeable and did a great job. There were not a lot of great spots to install they system, but David found the perfect location. The install was quick and things went exactly as they described. I had one question after they left and they called me right back with an answer. Best of all the system worked, we have a child under 10 and having radon was a major concern. Our original numbers were 6.6, we just got the new test back and it is .5. I highly recommend Radon Systems LLC.

It went very well. Had called 5 other companies, including one we had done business with before. 3 did not even return calls. one came out to give an estimate and never provided it. John came right out, gave a quote quickly and installed the system on the day we wanted at a good price. He even painted the outside pipe with paint we provided so it matches the house.

IF YOU NEED A RADON SYSTEM INSTALLED, THIS IS YOUR GUY! I called him up, he was at my house within 48 hours to give me an estimate. He explained exactly what the process would be, why there is radon in my basement, how he would drill into the slab, put in a system that would suck the radon up through the slab and out near the top of the house so that it wouldn't bother us. We had about 6.6 picocuries/l of radon, he promised to remediate it to under 2 or he would re-do the system. Fortunately, that was not necessary! The next step was that he emailed me some dates when he could install the system. He arrived, right on time on my selected day. His installation was very non-invasive! I barely knew he was there and I could come and go as I please while he installed the system as long as I was back by the time he finished. He then left a radon test there and a postpaid envelope to send to accustar for radon testing (all included in the price.) The result: 0.5 pcl/l!!! Incredibly conscientious, customer oriented professional will do the job right for a great price and will leave you a satisfied customer!

There was a delay on getting into the house and the technician was very patient. Then took me through all the potential options and described why each option would be a positive or negative. Ultimately decided on a location and thanks to the Tech the pipe is well hidden from the outside and not in any major spot that would make it a huge job to hide when we finish the basement. They left a test to be run and if levels have not reduced will return to do followup work. It's not a job you want to have to do, but an easy company to work with and the price is comparable to other options in the area.

During a home inspection, prior to purchase, our radon numbers came back at 66 pCi/l. We contacted John and another Angie's List company before we took occupancy and arranged for them to come and give an estimate. Over the phone John told me what the price was going to be, which we thought was great. The other company was unable to make the scheduled appointment, and John showed up on time. He drilled some test holes in the basement then described the system he'd install. I had done a little research and thought with numbers like ours that I'd want the biggest fan available. John informed me of the difference between the fans, and how in my situation the smaller would actually benefit me more. He then said that if the numbers come back higher he would come back and swap fans. We choose to go with John, and he installed two days later. He choose a location which best concealed the unit, and was done in a few hours. The real results came after we sent out the Home Test Kit for a second reading. Our Numbers came back well under the 2 pCi/l promised by John. He sure knows his radon and was absolutely right to direct me to the smaller fan. We are very pleased.

We recently bought a house and radon was found during the inspection. The seller initially contacted Storch to do the radon remediation. They came out and told the seller she needed a drain put into the doorway of the bulkhead. This was done by someone else and in the meantime we closed on the house so that I took over the radon issue. I called Storch to come out and finish the job, Two men came out a few days later walked around told me the only place the pipe could go was in the middle of the wall in my finished basement right beside the pool table. Then upon further inspection they told me that they were not sure if it could even go there and they needed to speak to the supervisor. They could not reach a supervisor so told me to reschedule and they left. I called the next week and the usual receptionist was on vacation and no one knew anything about my property. I then called Radon Systems LLC and spoke with John. He came out the next day, assessed my needs and gave me two options for the pipe, neither of which was in the middle of my basement wall. One was slightly more expensive then the other because it involved much more work but was an excellent option. It was still less expensive then the estimate Storch gave us. John came back the next week and installed the system in the furnance room and up through the garage floor, up the garage wall and out of the roof. Totally out of my way. John was very professional and courteous. He arrived on time and did a great job making it all look as nice as possible. He cleaned the work area when he was done and then showed me all the work and explained the guarantees. I highly recommend Radon Systems LLC.

The folks at Radon Inc really worked with us we had a very difficult house as our basement was completely finished. John's team worked so hard to find the right area for the system but also so the system did not take away from the finished part of our house. These guys are great the Radon levels are well below 2 and just as important they took their time to do it right. My wife and I could not be more pleased with their work.

From my first phone dialogue with John, I felt that I had selected the proper contractor for the job. John was responsive, answered all my questions, and his quote was clear and concise. There were NO grey areas (fan size, up-charges, etc.) as I had encountered with others radon contractors I had spoken with. John was also extremely flexible from a schedule perspective and we were able to get a date only days after contacting him. I received a call the morning of our scheduled appointment from Dan, the tech who was coming to do the installation. He confirmed his arrival time and was at the house as committed. Dan came in, accessed the basement and provided a recommendation on where the system should be installed and explained exactly how he was going to do the install. Dan even helped me move some items to allow him easier access to the work area. Dan completed the installation (both inside and outside of the house) efficiently and cleaned up nicely. He then explained the system to me and showed me how to determine it was working. Finally, Dan explained how to administer the radon test provided to insure that the house was below the maximum allowable threshold. The test came back at 1.6pCi/L, well within the allowable level of 4.0pCi/L (prior to the installation, the radon level was 20pCi/L) I would HIGHLY recommend John, Dan, and the team at Radon Systems LLC. The service was great! He is very experienced, and also designed the system very carefully to minimize impact to the house. The installation date was really hot, he can on time and worked very hard to set up the system smoothly and quickly. I definitely recommend him for my friends who need to do radon mitigation in the future.

After a fiasco with Storch, I turned to radon systems LLC. Their price was just slightly higher than Storch. The guy was prompt and knowledgeable, he took a long time to go over the options with me and work out a plan that would look the best. It wasn't a straightforward situation and I appreciated his patience. He performed the work over the next few hours and I was pleased with the result. Minus several points, though, for inexplicably leaving all the panels out of the ceiling with some insulation hanging out. I also never received the results of the follow up radon test, although I am not sure who dropped the ball on that one.

The worker is very knowledgable and professional. The project was completed well.
