The design was great and the masonry work was excellent. The actual plants is where we ran into trouble. A lot of them died including a $2000 Japanese maple. We had a one year warranty that would cover the plants. We contacted him initially in July of 2010 to honor the warranty and replace the dead plants. It is now September of 2011 and we still have not had these plants replaced. At first he said it was too hot and then he said it was too late in the season. He has basically been giving us the run around from day one.

They were good. They were on time and they were pretty professional. We are using them right now. We would take a quote from them again in the future if we needed to.

SLDA's design was great and the final product was amazing. The craftsmen Tony brought in to do the work were spectacular, hard working and dedicated. They showed up on time and worked through foul weather to get the patio done. The few minor problems we had on the project Tony rectified very professionally. Difficult electrical sub, neighbor/lawn border issues and plants prematurely dying. Tony was very conscientious about getting changes in the final product done quickly. For example we didn't like a portion of a transition area when it was installed and he had that changed out very quickly for us. The only real complaint I had on this project is that SLDA did not meet their schedule, by a long shot. The project was completed months late, due to a combination of project management issues & a particular stone cutting shop who kept providing excuses for not delivering. My wife and I were hoping to have this project completed in early Summer so we could enjoy it during the BBQ season, but it wasn't completed until Labor Day, and then only barely. Please note though that while we found the project timing aspect very disappointing, Tony and the team he brought to bear created a spectacular final product. See the before and after photos below. (I forgot to take a true "final" product picture, but will do so in the Spring) When we decide to execute other aspects of the landscape design they did for us we will call him and his team again to do the work for us.
