+ 1 moreWe really appreciate Chris' work ethic and the end product of the projects he works on. He does it well, doesn't cut corners, and helps to come up with ideas if we need to troubleshoot.
Description of Work: We had Chris remove a load bearing wall in 2014 and recently hired him to do our basement remodel dry wall and install new doors throughout our house.

+ -1 moreCame to house promptly to look at space for potential job. Said he would have a quote within a couple weeks. They never followed up and completely disappeared. Has not responded to several calls and over 2 months has gone by. Very unhappy to let somebody into my home who does not have the courtesy to return a call or follow up. Shocked a business can operate this way. Surprised and disappointed because he seemed like a nice guy. The person that came is not the person that the other reviewers refer to in prior comments.

Description of Work: We had Chris remove two walls in our kitchen and dining area to create an open space. This required installation of a ceiling beam, electrical/heating, and wall/ceiling repair.

+ -1 moreMaterials - Bob took us to Home Depot where we picked our cabinets, tiles etc. Keeping our guidelines in mind, he suggested good quality but reasonably priced materials and we also got great combo discounts on them - We were thinking of keeping the linoleum but he suggested a cheap but reliable bamboo alternative and we are glad we went that way. It looks great. Project: - Bob scheduled the work such that there would be no lag between removal of existing kitchen, getting new cabinets, install etc - Given that we are not local, he sent us pictures almost daily showing work in progress - Kept to the schedule, kept his word and we got the kitchen done in the schedule that he had estimated. - We were very happy with the quality of work and our tenant was offcourse elated. I definitely recommend Red Oak and would use them for subsequent work.
Description of Work: We wanted to update the kitchen of our rental unit. We had a few guidelines: - We wanted to do a good quality upgrade but not a fancy one (Honda vs BMW!). - Complete ownership of the project with the contractor. We do not live in MA and it was not feasible for us to coordinate between the various subcontractors - Quick turn around. The tenant was still living and was gracious to allow us to do the remodel but being the kitchen, it was key to get it done with tight coordination and minimal to no delay. We utilized Angie's List and requested quotes from some contractors. Bob (Reliable Bob!) from Red Oak was competitive. He understood our guidelines and gave us a quote + time estimate accordingly. Work done was: - Replace cabinets - Replace countertop w/ granite - Backsplash - Replace sink+faucet - Replace flooring - Replace hood - Kitchen lighting (under cabinets etc)

+ -1 moreWe had asked Bob to help us update our kitchen several months ago. He immediately had several great ideas of how we could use our space more efficiently and came up with a plan very quickly. We went through a few revisions and came up with what turned out to be a perfect plan. Bob and his team were always on time and very professional. They worked quickly and efficiently. They did a great job keeping the space cleaned up and livable (which is not easy when your house is turned upside down!)
Description of Work: Removed walls between kitchen, dining and living rooms and installed supports. Installed a kitchen island and rerouted electrical outlets. Installed updated lighting in kitchen. Replaced trimwork and patched in hardwood floors.

+ 0 moreWe found someone we could trust in Bob Williams. I can't say enough positive things about Bob and his crew. They finished ahead of schedule and charged a fair price for the work done. Bob kept us informed every step of the way and addressed every concern promptly. He even noticed a leaky pipe in our basement and fixed it (even though it was unrelated to his project). He was always agreeable to any changes and gave his honest opinion on our ideas.The entire project proceeded fairly hassle-free on our end--we never had to deal with problems.We have had a number of compliments on the quality of the work. Bob is a can-do guy. He would say, "Tell me what you want done and I'll do it". I would highly recommend Bob Williams and his crew at Red Oak Renovations.
Description of Work: This was a huge project (the cost is not a typo). This job consisted of adding a garage, a front farmers porch with a portico, a large mud room and a screened porch. In addition, we redesigned and remodeled the entire kitchen, and took out two walls (including one weight bearing wall). The job was done in two phases.
