Jeff and his crew were outstanding. The quality of the installation was nothing less than inspiring and amazingly beautiful. I am fussy about any home improvement projects and these guys are true craftsman of their trade. The installation speaks for itself. I highly recommend them for the quality of work and responsiveness to their customers.

This is our SECOND time using Jeff and his team. He is amazing! We first used Jeff when we purchased our home in May 2015. He came into the house and gave us his honest opinion about what the hardwood floors needed. Others had come in and said, "yes, replace everything!" Jeff came in (punctual, easy to schedule) and said that they were in great shape and could easily be spruced up and protected by just a buff and a coat. We had him do the entire house and the floors look fabulous! At this time we also had him replace carpet with new hardwood floors in one bedroom. The bedroom has a very large and long closet and he worked with us to keep the cost down by finding us pre-finished hardwood planks instead of using unfinished hardwood like the rest of the room because it would have been much more expensive. The space look great! The best part about Jeff- HE JUST DOESN'T DO HARDWOOD FLOORS! I reached out to him again when we needed new hardwood stair treads in our basement and a basement floor. I did my own research on the materials that I wanted for the basement and approached Jeff who said he would have recommended the same materials. He then got me an amazing price per square foot and once again his installation charge was completely competitive. The stairs are impeccable and beautiful. He prepped the subfloor to my specifications (bleached, cleaned, vapor sealed and leveled). The basement floor looks great as well! His attention to detail in adding in a shoe molding made it look awesome. (No other contractor we interviewed had mentioned shoe molding.) Both times his crew was punctual, professional and respectful. They are ALL extremely skilled at what they do. Jeff and his team were in constant communication with me throughout the project to ensure it was to my satisfaction and immediately addressed any questions I had. I can't recommend Jeff and his team enough. Also, yet another perk of working with Jeff is that he stands by his work. A stair tread leading into the bedroom where he installed hardwood floors back in May became loose and he sent someone over the NEXT MORNING to fix and secure it. No questions ask. No charge.

We purchased a house and had Jeff finish the floors prior to moving in. We left him a key for home access since we weren't in the area yet. We were so pleased when we arrived. The floors look fabulous and we are so glad that we had them done. There was minimal dust to clean, so I know they really cleaned up after themselves. I plan on having him do some additional floor work for us.

I had a great experience with Jeff. We were about to move into a house and timing was critical...I needed him there immediately after the closing and needed him done before we moved in a few days later. Everything went just fine and we were able to move in to beautifully finished floors!

In a word---fantastic. Jeff and his crew were extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. Their work is top notch and very competitively priced. Most importantly, he stands head and shoulders above the competition. In my experience, a lot of hardwood flooring shops are very shady and unprofessional. If they return your calls, you might get a quote. But they good luck getting them to show up, on time, and actually do the job as you envisioned. Jeff and his crew, on the other hand, not only met all my expectations.....they exceeded them. I highly recommend Jeff Pello of all your hardwood flooring needs.

Outstanding experience. The price was very competitive. The hardwood floors are beautiful. Minimal dust. There were 2 small imperfections which he quickly corrected. One nightstand was accidentally damaged during the furniture moving/replacing process- these things can and do happen,especially on a larger job. We notified him and after looking at the piece he was very apologetic and took the cost of replacement off the bill. It's nice to see someone stand behind their work. The exterior of our home was painted three weeks later. Unfortunately, our painter spilled some sort of solvent on the floor when he was painting our front door which noticeably discolored the finish. Not happy with my painter (maybe another AL report). To his credit, my painter agreed to cover the repair/refinishing by Jeff's team. My wife called Jeff and he offered to repair it as a courtesy! Unbelievable. This was a sizable area that had to be refinished in order to feather it in with the surrounding floor. After he was done, it took a very hard, deliberate look to find a trace of the boundary between the repaired area and the rest of the floor. Very nice job. Eric and the rest of his team are very talented We insisted that Jeff charge for his services. He only charged $250, which I thought was quite generous of Jeff. My painter should thank him. If you are getting your hardwoods installed, repaired, or refinished definitely get an estimate from Jeff. He was my last one of 5 and I almost canceled it. So glad I didn't.

This was a terrific overall experience.

I found Jeff and his crew to be professional, exceedingly flexible, highly skilled and very pleasant to work with. We were trying to squeeze the floor refinishing work in between closing on our new house and our move-in date, which was 6 days later. In addtion to that challenge, we were trying to coordinate the floor work with painting ceilings and a couple of rooms -- a logistical challenge even if everything goes perfectly. Long story short... at the last minute, our closing got pushed off for several day, which meant our floor and painting work had to be rescheduled (at the very last minute!). The bottom line was that Jeff and his crew bent over backwards to accommodate our situation and ensure that we'd be able to complete the work (the way we wanted it done) while still hitting our (new) move-in date (something that many contractors wouldn't necessarily do). As for their work it self, I couldn't be happier. On the first floor, I was trying to achieve a stain/finish result that was very similar to a friend's floors. All I had to go on was my verbal description and a not-so-good picture of the floors. To make sure that we got as close as possible to this finish, Erik, one of Jeff's crew leads actually went to my friends house to evaluate and make his best guess as to the stain color and finishing process that was used there. As it turned out, he nailed it; our floors look beautiful and exactly what I was hoping for. I would highly recommend Jeff Pello and would gladly use them again in the future.

Jeff met with my husband to discuss the job. We wanted the kitchen floor done asap because we were having new cabinets installed. Jeff had the wood delivered and put in the house a few days in advance so that it could acclimate to the temperature. The crew came and did the installation right away and did a flawless job. You would never know that the floor had not always been there. It is impossible to tell where the weave occurred. A carpenter who saw the floor was astounded at the craftsmanship. Then Jeff and his foreman came and put down two possible stains (as we had requested). Once we had decided, the crew came right away and sanded and stained the floors. They returned on three more days to put on each coat of poly. We had to skip a day because we had lost our heat and Jeff was concerned that the poly might not be ready for another coat. As a result, the final coat was applied on Saturday, so that we could get back into the house on schedule. My husband had the opportunity to observe Erik, Jeff's foreman apply the poly and said that he has never seen anyone perform with such finesse. He was trained in Europe, where floor finishing is a respected craft, and uses the European technique. Needless to say, the floors are spectacularly beautiful. I highly recommend this company.

Our floors had not been refinished in 44 years. Dirt had dug into the wood in high traffic areas and polyurethane was peeling in the dining room. We compared this traditional sanding with an organic one day service available. Jeff's prices were comperable and the finish results look like new. The organic method company could only guarantee 80% better in many of the worst areas. We left for 10 days. We were shocked when we came home to practically brand new floors. We could not believe that all of the high traffic areas looked like nothing ever happened. Of course we expected some dust, but the kitchen and bedrooms were taped off and clean. The rest we cleaned in 1/2 a day. The results were worth the dust.

It went very good. It took them three days to do the work. They were on time, and cleaned up afterwards. They price was very reasonable and was right on from the quote. They were very courteous and professional.
