This is an excellent vendor. Flemming was punctual, professional and very thorough. He returns calls, arrives at the job promptly, and he did an excellent job evaluating my home. The report was emailed to me the same day and I followed up with him a few days later to go over specific questions I had. He was very patient explaining his findings and he recommended a few different contractors for each specific job that needed work. It was reassuring to feel that he didn't seem to be directly tied into any of the contractors he recommended. He also looked at my water heater and furnace and made suggestions as to how to improve the energy efficiency of those two units. It was a pleasure working with someone as professional as Flemming.

I cannot recommend Flemming highly enough-- or this type of energy audit. He responded to my calls quickly, showed up early, listened to my concerns carefully, picked up on the primary issues quickly, and gave clear answers--without unnecessary commentary. He was extremely versed in diagnostics, had awesome tools, and had an extensive knowledge base about energy usage, products, and services He not only helped me prioritize an order for the repair work, but also helped weed out some unnecessary work, compared different installation options, processes, & benefits, and gave me some contractor names. He was knowledgeable about what things cost and sensitive to the concerns about spending more than the returns. Most importantly, he embraced my particular situation and gave 'big picture' suggestions that reflected considerations of both my budget and my capacity limitations. If you want to go to the next level understanding your energy usage, losses, and potential, this is the guy to contact

Overall it went fine. I actually found Flemming through an online edition of the Metrowest Daily paper, then looked on Angie's and found him there. He came when he said he would, was tidy, polite , efficient but definitely not cold. He feels deeply that any energy saved is good for all. He explained each step as he performed it. Showed me cold spots and explained the house air leak check.About two weeks or so after the audit we received his report by email which detailed the steps he had performed and included the images so that we could share them with an insulation contractor.

I had a mold problem and moisture damage around my windows and in my closet. I wanted to see what was causing the problem. Flemming came with all of his devices and gave me a thorough and complete report...and peace of mind. He was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I now know what I have to do to address the situation in full.

The energy audit was thorough, professional and very informative. Flemming Lund spent several hours going through the house, and was very willing to discuss problems as they were identified and give informed opinions. Within a day I was emailed a detailed report with photos (paired infrared and visible) of all problem areas, together with a prioritized list of suggestions for improvements. Some of the problem areas identified were fairly obvious (no insulation in the walls!), but other problems were identified that were less obvious - for example, a badly finished closet where air was infiltrating through the walls. I anticipate no problems quickly recouping the cost of the audit in heating bill reductions.

I am an extremely happy customer! From the start, Flemming was extremely personable and polite on the phone, and was able to schedule my energy audit two weeks from the time I called. He was extremely punctual on the day of the appointment and arrived at 8 am on the dot. The entire audit of my two story (+basement) 2200 sq ft home took 2.75 hours from start to finish. Flemming was extremely thorough with his testing and assessments. He allowed me to shadow him while he was running the tests so I could see firsthand the results he was pulling and understand the problem areas he pinpointed. Flemming was also very kind and pleasant to my two young children who were home at the time and extremely interested in all of the cool tools and equipment running in the house! Flemming began the energy audit with a tour of the house to better understand the space. He then went back over the entire home with the infrared camera to determine if there was any missing insulation. Then he set up the blower door test, ran that completely, then went back over the entire home with the infrared camera while the fan was running to find other issues. After Flemming was done and packed up, he told me I should expect to see the energy audit report in my email within 24 hours. I was pleasantly surprised to find a full color, extremely thorough report in my inbox 12 hours after our our appointment began! In the report, after all of the pictures of problem areas and the suggested resolutions, Flemming provided a step by step list of how to fix the problems and some contractors to contact for further information. He said that we could do each step one at a time, over time, as we saw fit. Also included in the report were the technical details of the blower door test. Both reports can be brought to contractors/companies who come in to fix some of our problems. I showed the report to one energy contractor who was extremely impressed with the output of the report! While the price is high by itself, I know that by fixing even a few of the problems Flemming isolated will save us huge money, both short and long term, so the energy audit was completely worth it!! (Flemming was more thorough than the home inspector we used when purchasing our home...I highly recommend his services and company!)

It was a pleasure to work with Flemming. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and took the time to answer about 100 questions I had during the inspection. He provided me a full report the same day with color photos (regular and infrared) of each problem area along with a list of suggested actions to take in priority order. I have an older home and we were able to find a variety of problems to address, some of which I was already aware of, and many I had no clue existed (such as air leaks over a window due to improperly sealed trim). If I had one ?issue? it is that a number of the problem areas are not practical to fix (very expensive and/or require wall or ceilings to be replaced). This is not a reflection on Flemming?s work, but rather the nature of this type of inspection. I was happy to find that the insulation I had installed a number of years earlier was done very well with almost no gaps. Since the inspection, I have been able to address just about all of the items that were practical. The blower door test estimated $500 per year savings so I am looking forward to tracking what I actually save on my heating bill. Final note. About a week after the inspection, I discovered my gas company was offering a rebate for these inspections. Unfortunately, Flemming was not an approved provider so I could not get the rebate. Something to consider when scheduling one of these tests.

It went very smoothly. He came on time and quickly went about his business to conduct the test. He was explicit at the beginning that I could follow along with him or go and do other things. I chose to go along with him. Flemming was friendly, answered any and all of my questions, and volunteered information and recommendations along the way. By that evening I had an electronic copy of my report. I have showed it to tow organizations as I have gotten estimates for work. Both spoke glowingly of how thorough the report was.

Flemming was great to work with. He arrived a few minutes early, introduced himself, briefly gave an overview of what he would do, and set to work. He said I could follow him through the house and ask questions or disappear and read the report he would compile. I chose to walk with him and Flemming patiently answered my questions, and offered suggestions about a number of energy related ideas (e.g., use of solar power, for what, the value of radiant heat, instant hot water heaters). He finished his work in about 3 - 3.5 hours and was on his way. I received my report that night. It was thorough and detailed. The infra red scan photos will be of great use as we work on improving our homes insulation. I highly recommend him.

Other than a little confusion over a damper in one of the fireplaces, everything went well - he was quick to respond, thorough in his audit, and pretty good-natured about coming back when we told him that the infrared audit was much of the reason we wanted the audit. You end up with a pretty big report - including photos of problem areas and infrared images (interior and exterior) showing areas of heat loss. We haven't seen enough bills (or done enough of the work) to see energy savings - but we're hopeful.

Fantastic. Mr. Lund called one day prior to reconfirm our appointment. On the service day, he arrived early and undertook some exterior examinations before beginning inside of the house. He began with a basement-to-attic infrared camera inspection to look for gaps in insulation, sufficiency of heating pipe and recessed lighting insulation, leaks in the central AC duct system, etc. He then set up an incredible blower door instrument that dropped the air pressure in the house to test for air leakage. Several major problems, and many minor problems, were quickly identified. The entire energy audit took about 3.5 hours, and during the audit Mr. Lund was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, carefully explaining everything and answering all of my questions. Later the same evening, he sent me a very detailed report that included all of the photos he had taken, with careful explanations of the problems and suggested solutions. His report also included contact information for contractors he recommends for each specific problem. Overall, Mr. Lund's energy audit was a fantastic experience! (How many contractors can you say that about?) It provided exactly what I needed, at a reasonable price, and I learned a lot in the process. I will hire Mr. Lund again in a second if the need arises.

Mr. Lund arrived exactly on time, within just a few days of calling him. was very organized, detail oriented and informative, beyond the call of duty. He did the rounds with us through our house and pointed out the areas that needed attention to prevent heat loss and put that advice in the context of our personal own needs, including many inexpensive ways to deal with heat loss and he also made us aware of the costs that would require a considerable amortization, so would not .be a 'savings' until many years after implementation. mr. Lund seemed especially knowledgeable in the unique problems to be addressed in antique homes as opposed to newer homes. He provided us with a very detailed test report of 14 pages with photos, tables and recommendations. I wish that all contractors were so knowledgeable, helpful and affordable. His audit was worthwhile investment.

It took me a long time to decide to do this because of the cost, but Flemming more than paid for himself. Independent of the energy audit he identified a few things that needed repair based on his experience as a home inspector. He also noticed many of my windows had lost their air barrier and weren't as energy efficient anymore. He recommended I call Anderson because they were within the 20 year warranty, and Anderson came out today and fixed 54 (!) of my windows, all free. I am in the process of getting estimates for the work Flemming recommended (improving the insulation in my attic, above my garage, and sealing the ductwork on our HVAC that was very leaky). I had a free energy audit by my electric company that was not infrared/blower door, and I think the recommendations are much better and more focused on clear problems areas with the infrared one. I also trust Flemming because he is independent, whereas I would wonder if the audit is done by an insulation company that wants to sell you products.

It was very interesting. He made a lot of good suggestions. It was really interesting because my husband thought it was great but now we see things that we didn't see before. I think it is worth doing. He was very nice and personable. We got lucky that we got a hold of him. Hopefully we wouldn't need to use him again, but I would recommend him.

Apex handled scheduling and my initial questions very well. The inspection was scheduled for just two days after I called. Flemming Lund performed the inspection. He arrived 30 minutes early and had completed most of the outside assessment before I arrived. He immediately reviewed his findings with me, and thoroughly answered my questions. We went through the interior together. He checked everything that I would, plus things that I would not have thought of. He went everywhere, including through a small access hole to the attic. Throughout his inspection, he took lots of pictures and notes, readily answering all my questions. It turned out the the roof is only about 10 years old-good news. The inspection took about 2-1/2 hours. He promised a report by e-mail for the next morning. The report arrived as promised. It exceeded my expectations, with many annotated pictures and color-coded findings. Flemming did a great job.

He brought an infrared camera scope, to detect heat variations in the walls and around windows. This was very important as it indicated whether the place was well insulated and if the skylights had any leaks. This is by far gave me the greatest peace of mind. He even found a gas leak in the basement that the current owner was not aware of. His report was very complete and included photos with call outs to indicate repairs. Had it not been so detailed and had the owner not accompanied the inspection, most of the repairs would not have been done as part of the P&S. The owner did 95% of the requested internal repairs, thanks to his inspection! Highly Recommend!

Fleming was extremely thorough, knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. He discovered several problems and recommended additional inspectors to determine exactly what was going on. Because of his findings & recommendations, we were able to negotiate a lower asking price to help defray the costs of repairs. We were very impressed by how knowledgeable and thorough he was and really liked that he was able to generate the inspection report on the spot!

HE WAS FANTASTIC! HE THOROUGHLY INSPECTED EVERY POSSIBLE AREA HE COULD REACH AND CHECKED ALL OF THE HOUSEHOLD SYSTEMS. HE FOUND TERMITE DAMAGE IN THE GARAGE AND SEVERAL OUTLETS THAT WEREN'T PROPERLY GROUNDED. HE DOES ALL HIS NOTES ON A HANDHELD COMPUTER AND AT THE END OF THE INSPECTION GAVE US A PRINTED REPORT ON THE SPOT. FLEMING ALSO SHOWED US HOW EVERYTHING WORKED, WHAT MAINTENANCE WOULD BE NEEDED AND GAVE US A VERY HONEST OPINION ON EVERYTHING HE SAW. HE ALSO MADE SURE WE KNEW HE WAS AVAILABLE FOR FOLLOW UP QUESTIONS AND ADVICE. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT HOW GREAT HE WAS TO DEAL WITH. FLEMING IS DANISH AND THEY ARE A PEOPLE KNOWN FOR THEIR HONESTY, THOROUGHNESS AND ALL AROUND GOOD NATURE.
