Isaac's Moving & Storage

Extremely well. The move came in UNDER the cost estimate. The movers worked incredibly hard and fast and were courteous and professional. This was a big, 3-day move, that they accomplishd in a little under 2.5 days. Of the 40% of the boxes we have unpacked, we have found no breakage. The movers packed much of our belongings, including delicate glasses and china. They used packing material generously and lightly-filled the boxes to avoid breakage. I offered them pizza or bagels for a pair of lunches and tipped them well, and maybe that achieved good will. They were recommended to us by friends who had fond them to pack and move very delicate goods with care. There estimator and move representaive were both very knowledgeable and confidence-inspiring- kudos to Robert Arrowsmith. I found a C rating for Isaacs on Angie's List and do not understand why. - they earned the A rating from us.

My move coordinator, Robert Arrowsmith, was amazing. Isaac's subcontracted to Shleppers Movers for the move from Long Island City. 3 movers showed up and were packed everything that hadn't been packed. They were courteous and effiicient. Movers from Isaac's delivered the furniture and were very efficient and professional. Most importantly, movers showed up when they were expected both on the front and back ends. I highly recommend Isaacs.

Excellent Movers. Robert Arrowsmith did a great job coordinating the move. The move team of Alex, Anderson and Jose were the best we have had in our sixteen moves. They were polite, energized, careful and all one would want in a move team. No damage! Highly recommended!

Isaac's movers, 4 gentlemen, were on time. They were very courteous and took their time to explain the process. They worked tirelessly almost non stop. They took serious care in packing, loading and unloading the furniture. The sale rep responded my call right away and kept me informed all the time. I will recommend them to anyone and I most definitely use their service again.

Very well, they did a great job. Super quick, nice staff, and everything made it to our house safely from our condo. They also had great storage options for the time in between.

I was moving an entire house to a small apartment at the last minute. Isaacs pros made it easier by arranging what I needed to store at the back of the truck. The movers also wrapped/boxed loose items I'd left for last minute as well as taking much care to protect everything they moved. After my items were moved into the apartment, the same truck took all the extra items to their storage facility. First month of storage was included with the price of the move! Isaacs storage costs no more than self-storage and I didn't need to do all the work! When I move next, the storage will be picked up first, then the apartment. Again, saves my time, effort and money. I would easily have spent the same amount on containers/trucks/friends and it would have taken days instead of 3 hours. The movers were friendly, relaxed, accommodating and totally competent professionals.

I had several confirmations of date and time (early morning) since other work scheduled in afternoon. They then called day before stating afternoon time slot. I asked what happened to early morning - ‘Oh we had schedule change. Thanks for your flexibility.’ No options given. Too late to take other day off. Forced to deal with it and make it work. Oh well. —- Then they came. They loaded the small amount of furniture, and drove truck to other house. When closing up the first house I noticed one of them left their leftover lunch on lawn. I thought - OK, I’ll toss it out later. I brought them to area where I wanted it to be stored, requested where I wanted the pieces. I walked back up to the truck to make sure two items would be brought to garage. Then came the bottled water requests (ok, have some in garage - surprised company doesn’t provide water for them). They finished - I gave each of them a VERY generous tip considering time spent, I paid and they left. I went to close second house to find they ignored my request where I wanted the items. Worst of all an antique dresser that had no blemishes on front or sides now has scratches on corners and a long scratch on front. It was a learning experience. Next time I’ll pay more, have items wrapped or padded. If the top didn’t already have marks on it, I would file with insurance - my time is worth more at this point.

Isaac's was highly recommended by two very good friends, and they did not let us down. Rob Arrowsmith, our moving consultant, is absolutely wonderful, and took care of us as it was his own move. He was extremely friendly and personable, which he balanced with a great deal of professionalism. He was so prompt in returning our calls/emails, and went out of his way on moving day and even after, to make sure we had a good experience and felt at ease with such a big change in our lives. The four movers that were sent to do the job, could not have been nicer. They took great care in the way they handled both our merchandise, and any concerns that we had. Isaac's also stored some of our items while we were selling our house, and they seamlessly picked up the stored items when the actual move took place.

I cannot recommend Isaac's highly enough. They stored some items for us while we were selling our home, and moved us from Massachusetts to Virginia. From the moment I spoke to them, I could tell how professional and experienced and helpful they were. Our movers could not have been more professional, competent, pleasant or accommodating. They made a very stressful time less stressful, and we are very appreciative of their work.

My experience with Isaac’s from start to finish was excellent. The scheduling was easy, the quote was accurate and the communication what is unsurpassed. The moving team arrived on time, were very personable and professional. They knew what they were doing, and did it well. Everything went as smooth as can be. I would, and have, recommend Isaac’s for anyone who is moving.

They packed everything up and put everything in storage. They packed up everything, clothing, books, and pictures, a lot of pictures and took them to their storage facility that they own. They were superb, they took every phone call and every question and I had a million questions, they took the time to explain everything in detail, which one other very well known company did not. They supplied me with a written estimate in great detail, the other was basically an email. There was some very specific, very costly line item cost from this other moving company that wasn't mentioned at all, it wasn't until i peeled away the layers that i discovered, guess what the other company appears cheaper but didn't include this very clear line item.

As this is going to be a somewhat lengthy review, let me start by saying that I was extremely impressed by Isaac's and would wholeheartedly recommend them. Now, onto the details. Over the past four years, my wife and I have had 4 full household moves - two intra state and two inter state, so we have fairly significant experience in moving, which includes a terrible experience with another local moving company where we had significant damage to our furniture. On the contrary, everything involved with this move with Isaac's was done very professionally and we had absolutely no problems. First positive was how they dealt with the estimate. Several other companies I spoke to wouldn't come out to our place and simply estimated over the phone based on "standard" moves. Having tried that once before, we knew their estimates were useless, so we had three companies come out, including Isaac's. However, the big differentiator is that Isaac's used both an in home estimator and a separate move coordinator. The other companies tried to have the same person do both jobs which didn't work well as they were oftentimes busy doing other estimates. Even though everyone was told the same thing, one company totally misunderstood that we planned on packing everything ourselves and quoted me for a full day of packing. Instead, Isaac's fully understood what we wanted to do and our timing and made every effort to provide us a very competitive quote that exactly met our timing expectations, which had virtually no wiggle room. Second was how Isaac's planned the move. My wife wanted not to have to take off a day of work for the move, which limited the move to being over the weekend. Other moving companies either insisted on starting on Friday or scheduling the move day for 12 hours, neither of which were ideal. Isaac's offered a few different options and we chose the one that worked best for us. Third, Isaac's was very responsive to any and all questions or concerns, again supporting their concept of the move coordinator. Owen Sullivan was extremely helpful and did everything he could to answer questions quickly as well as offer us a very competitive price. Forth, and most important, the move staff was excellent. They clearly had been well trained but more importantly, they were pleasant and treated our belongings with respect. Nothing was damaged during the move which was not the case in 2 other moves and they took significant care with antique furniture and several pieces that had glass doors. They even found a very creative way to tie down a sleep sofa so it didn't expand while moving it, something the previous movers did not do. I wouldn't hesitate to use Isaac's again or recommend them.

Isaac's did what they promised. Showed up when they were supposed to, got the job done as expected, and didn't damage our items. They were careful with everything, and even kept assembly hardware together with furniture parts when they had to disassemble. Very prompt on responses, and did a very good job. Would definitely use again.

Good! They were responsive and kept us updated when our shipment was stalled one day before delivery.

Overall great, 1 leg of particalboard dresser broke (12 years old), had trouble getting basketball hoop in truck but finally managed it. Glad that the same team came back 2 days later to unload truck. I was a bit confused on the insurance. However estimate was very close to actual cost.

We moved out on 11/30 but didn't move into our new home until 12/02 which meant our furniture was held in storage for two days. The entire process: from the initial call, the home visit, the estimate, subsequent conversations and emails with Greg, plus both moving out and into our new home went smoothly. Moving is very stressful but the staff at Isaac's really made a difference. They provided me with an initial estimate of $2,800 but it only cost $2,000. The staff was on-time, respectful, fast and friendly. I'm so glad we used Isaac's. I don't plan on moving again for a very long time, but i'd recommend them to everyone else.

Very well, they showed up right on time, worked very smoothly as a group and finished the move in a shorter time then I thought. The were no problems or any damage. I would use them again.

We would like to acknowledge the outstanding job that Isaac's Moving and Storage recently completed for us. The move for us appeared complicated as it had split delivery days, an enormous amount of boxes, a piano, jukebox and furniture that could be damaged. We were reassured that everything would be fine, and it was. The move involved three days and each day they arrived on time , were pleasant and never objected to our requests. They were professional and worked diligently to make sure that everything was done properly. They took meticulous care in wrapping the furniture. Watching them maneuver furniture around corners and through doors demonstrated their expertise and experience. They were accommodating. Even with all of my lists , shortly after they left on day one, I realized I forgot to give them my granddaughter's doll house. In a panic, I called the office and Ron Hefez assured me that he would call the truck and they would come and get it. That made for one very happy six year old. Moving can most certainly be stressful. Thank you Isaac's Moving and Storage for making the moving days stress free We would highly recommend them.

Pretty well. Some boxes were a little squished, but no damage,even to good china. We labeled fragile items and labeled boxes to identify rooms in new house. For the most part this went well. Delivery was scheduled within a several day period and Isaac's met both pick up and delivery timing.

We found the pricing for the move was about the same vendor to vendor. What differed was their attention to detail and ability to convince us that the job would be handled efficiently and with care. Issac was the last vendor we contacted and we were immediately impressed with the house survey that was done and all the detail on which they focused. We received explanations abut what to expect, what we should pack and what they could do for us. Although the move still seemed an enormous undertaking we knew we were in good hands. On the day of the move the trucks arrived and immediately the crew demonstrated their proficiency and efficiency. They moved through the house quickly and never broke or damaged anything. We arrived with them at the new house and the furniture went in as quickly and safely as it went out. We hope not to be moving anytime soon, but if you are we strongly recommend Issac's Moving and Storage.

I couldn't have been happier with the way things went. These guys showed up earlier than expected, and finished faster then expected. And the best part was they charged me less than originally quoted. They were fast, efficient, neat, and my wife loved them so all is well in my world.As a matter of fact I just booked them again to move us to our permanent location. I would not hesitate to recommend Isaac's to friends and family!
