HMS Van Lines agent: North American Van Lines

Description of Work: I contacted HMS online for a quote. They promptly called me back and set up a time for Monday 6/9/14 at 5:30. I was home at 5 PM and waited until 8 PM. No one showed up for the quote and they did not even give a courtesy call to let me know what was going on. I also left a voice mail and no one called me back. Will not recommend.

Description of Work: I called multiple times about the ad on Angie's List and they did not call back (over many days.) I finally got Keith to come to the telephone (after a very long wait on hold) and he told me that this ad could only be applied to 8 hour shifts at the cost of $2, 275. I have no problem with compensating these hard working movers accordingly, but I do think that this should be made clear on Angie's List. Also, prompt return phone calls would be appreciated.

Description of Work: We hired HMS to pack and move the contents of our parent's entire home in Cohasset , Massachusetts to Manhattan, New York. The crews were fantastic. They packed everything quickly and neatly and they wrapped their belongings incredibly well. The staff was extremely professional and detailed. It seams as though every person in that office knew exactly what was going on with our move and treated us so nicely and with respect. The driver and his crew showed up exactly as planned in lower Manhattan and made the delivery. There were many challenges on the New York end. Elevators, long walks, bumpy sidewalks, etc. (I think you get my drift!) The pricing was about middle of the road and the services and crew were just top flight. HMS is a world class mover who really cared about us and our level of satisfaction. We were just thrilled with how we were treated from beginning to end. Wonderful experience.
