My experience with G&G has been excellent. I work from home, so we were able to review and solve problems as we went - as I mentioned above the house is very old, and very quirky. Guy's native language is French so there were occasional minor misunderstandings. On a previous job (exterior painting) we had a written contract, but on the basis of that job we worked on a time and materials basis, verbally rather than written, aside from informal to - do lists. If there is one thing I would suggest it is to tell Guy t o take his time with windows - he is of the paint quickly now and clean with a blade later school, which is not my favorite, but got the job done. Guys ability to paint, repair, and do plumbing meant that we were able to take care of things like replacing leaky faucets and an old commode without having to call anyone else in. Guy LeBrun's partner, Guy Jolicouer, does HVAC, and helped out on occasion, but there was no HVAC specific work involved. If you are looking for a workman like approach, solid solutions, and a good job at an excellent value then G&G is for you. If you are looking for a name on a truck, polished appearance, and high end flourishes, then not so much. Both Guys are honest, hardworking and really care about coming up with the right solution.
Description of Work: I worked closely with Guy LeBrun over the past year on a number of projects in our large, old and quirky house. These included: Interior painting of Kitchen, bedroom, Bath and Hallway, including excellent repair of cracked plaster; repair and replace deteriorated plaster ceiling in basement, as well as clean and powerwash; insulate attic; replace cracked portion of waste pipe; re-build laundry washer dryer counter base from a botched earlier install (by a high end company); repair and make weather tight 28 wooden storm windows.

My experience with Guy Lebrun, and his partner Guy (don't remember last name - he is primarily HVAC) and G&G has been excellent. On the basis of this job I have hired them for ongoing work on my house repairing basement, washer dryer installation, insulating attic, and an extensive job refitting old custom made storm windows to be more efficient. This job took a long time, as it was a small crew. Any problems were immediately addressed. One or two splatters, but overall the quality of preparation and painting was among the best I have seen - better than much more expensive contractors who specialize in historic homes. Highly recommend.
Description of Work: Paint exterior of large historic home, remove and repair shutters, manage possible lead hazard. 5,280 sq ft, 11 dormers, 53 windows, 2 doors, 52 shutters (some in bad shape). Hand washing (no powerwashing) and no sanding allowed due to age and lead concerns. Covered all windows with plastic on the interior to contain dust, also covered ground at work area. 1 Coat tinted primer, one finish coat. This was not a lead abatement job, but Guy is a licensed lead abatement contractor.
