+ -1 moreRyan Hosein did not install the wall insulation at the proper density (in essence he "fluffed" the insulation) and the cellulose settled as much as 2 feet within a month of being installed. The wall board had been installed on the 2nd floor by this time and it had to be taken down and was a total loss. He came back and blew more insulation into the walls. This work also failed within a month. Between the initial installation and his attempted repair I went to the Green Fiber website and found out how the work was suppose to be done. I found that Ryan Hosein had taken several "shortcuts" with the prep-work but most importantly he had shorted the installed material by about 30%. By using 50 bags of cellulose less than Green Fiber required he would have made about $500 extra. I don't believe this was an honest mistake.
Description of Work: Ryan Hosein installed Green Fiber brand cellulose insulation in the attic and exterior walls of a house I'm building. The attic was "loose" blown and the walls were to be what is called "dense packed". A mesh fabric is stapled to the wall studs and the the cellulose is blown in to holes cut in this fabric. The cellulose needs to be blown in at such a density as to be self-supporting and not settle or collapse.
