I looking for a reliable company to repair the gates on my existing fence. I was cited $100.00 for an estimate. When I asked why, I was told, “We could write estimates all day long.” I guess my potential business wasn’t of value. Too bad, I’m an excellent and reliable customer.

Great crew, excellent work - Did whole job in about day+ - Rain delays caused some scheduling issues but manager kept me updated via email everyday and we worked out a date later that worked for both of us. Installation crew was polite and professional. They started early and worked late to finish. Would definitely hire again.

I had an existing cedar fence line separating the front and back of the property, but needed the other three sides of the back enclosed for my dog. I got three estimates from A rated companies here on Angie's List. Two estimates were for white vinyl and the third from Canton Fence for cedar. I went with the cedar as it was the lowest bid and I'm very glad I did. The fence looks great! I put down half the cost as a deposit in mid October and they were ready to install it the first week of December. I had to delay as I was away that week. The office was very accommodating. They came the next week and installed it. I am very pleased with the quality of the work and would use them again.

Very well. We can be picky people but Canton fence did everything necessary to make us happy with the fence. I couldn't recommend them more.

At the time, I had seven dogs and they needed a place to run. They sent out a crew and it took around three days to finish completely. They did an excellent job and I liked everything. They came out when they said they would.

My husband spoke with Ritchie yesterday and Ritchie told him that his workman told him that I said someone removed the gate. He also said the no charge work order that my husband signed didn't mean anything. I spoke with Ritchie today to tell him I did not say that, I told him that the latch was faulty, as we never in 36 years had a problem latching our old gate. He said he would take the price of the latch and hinges (22.95) off the bill but I owed him the labor charge. He told me and my husband he hears lots of ridiculous stories about gates being out of wack. We both felt he was calling us liars. I told him I was very disappointed and he said, rather arrogantly, then don't pay me.

Came out and spoke with me in person for the estimate, explained what they'd have to do to get it up on the hill the way I wanted. Super nice guy, really helpful in explaining fence types as I didn't really know what I wanted. Answered all my questions as I worked through what my best bet was for my landscape. Estimate was straightforward and the lowest I received, he even gave me ballparks on different scenarios to help kind of guide me on what to do. Were a bit behind schedule due to parts coming in late from their manufacturer but always responsive when I called. Very pleasant to deal with and professional. Came when they said they would and got to work, explained what they were going to do every step of the way. They had to cut away a lot of the brush and it was super hot out but they did so with no complaints. Gates came in sooner than expected and were put on right away. Fence looks awesome, neighbors all commented on how great it came out. Overall a great experience, would recommend them highly. The office manager (forgive me if I got the title wrong) was great to deal with.

I was overall pleased with the work they did, but annoyed that when they said they'd arrive "first thing Monday morning" they didn't arrive until nearly 10 am- not what I consider first thing. They were very good about checking with us about any changes they needed to make that would change to cost from that estimated (the increase was very small, we added one section of cedar stockade beyond what we'd estimated). They did a nice job of cleaning up their materials, and did not damage my yard or flowerbeds any more than was absolutely necessary. The men doing the work were polite and behaved professionally.

I rate them an "A." I would use them again in the future.

They customized the fence and it came out beautiful. The people that did it were friendly and nice.

I easily set up an appointment and the contractor was on time. He looked the area over and mentioned that his company cements every post in place and that is the right way to do it. He told me he would send me an estimate. When some time had elapsed and I had not received one, I called to remind them. The estimate was much higher than others, so I decided not to go with this company

Received estimate verbally and then confirmed by mail. I sent them a $100 deposit and then took 4 weeks to get them out and one of those weeks I was out of town. But once they got here the finished product was great.

They were quick to give an estimate, slow and very poor at communicating the install date but showed up on the appointed date to do the work. I would say that I am basically happy with the finished project. One of the gates was not installed to spec (it is smaller than estimated). My main gripe is the lack of communication between the lead person and me during the process. He gave me less than 48 hours notice that they were going to start. I had wanted to give my neighbors more notice that the fence would be down so they could make plans for kids and pets. The workers were good and quiet. They did not say that they would leave me with no gates over the week or that one gate was made too short.

I called for an estimate and David came out promptly. He gave me several ideas how to lower costs. The crew came out when promised and did a fantastic job. They trimmed a lot of overgrown bushes for us and the yard now looks great. We were a little concerned about the whole process because part of the fence was on a hill over a stone wall, but it was no problem for them. I would definitely use them again.

Everything was extremely well done, from the first contact and estimate to the finished product. The fence is beautiful and exactly what we expected. Several challenging spots were handled beautifully. The only problem was that they were not able to come on the exact day we planned. They had to reschedule us twice and ended up coming on an inconvenient day. This was probably due to the extremely wet spring we were having. Overall we are very pleased with Canton Fence.

I WAS PLEASED WITH THEIR WORK HOWEVER I FELT I HAD TO WAIT A LONG TIME BEFORE I COULD GET THE FENCE INSTALLED. THEY DID A GOOD JOB AND LEFT NO MESS BEHIND.
