A terrible experience! I was told I would have my fence no later than 3 weeks.i payed $2,500.00 by credit card. Three weeks came and went. I called and inquired. I was frustratingly put on hold and left there many times. I called again, same thing. I was then given various reasons why it was not ready. At the 6 week point I was told the sales person had never ordered it but it was ordered today and will be here next week”. I couldn’t believe this after 6 weeks. I was given the runaround so many times I got dizzy. I asked to just refund the money to my credit card. Now the same people that gave me the run around for 6 weeks are telling me they are going to refund my card saying “It may take a week“.. Terrible customer service and business practices..

Very disappointed with this company. Very poor communications. I waited patiently for my order to be completed (they had said two weeks) and when checking in on it after a month, I was informed that it was complete (this was untrue), but that the delay was due to a driver's illness. Two weeks later, I called again and was told that some materials were unavailable for completion of my order. Based on what they said was available, I made some suggestions that would allow a portion of my order to be completed. I was encouraged to send an email with a sketch and the revised order quantities. I did this and received no response. After several more attempts to contact the company (no one ever picks up the phone) and after leaving unreturned messages, I did reach a staff member today and was able to cancel my order, two months after placing it. They really need to work on their communications.

Chestnut Hill fence materials were great - worked with my installer smoothly. I would purchase from them again.

They're very good. One of the people that works for them install all the fences. I've been working with them for years. They built the fence that I needed and installed it. I like their service and their quality. I'm a contractor so I get reasonable prices for my clients. They actually customized a number of fences for me whereas a lot of people don't do that. I've been using them for four, five or six years and I've recommended them to other contractors and homeowners. I wouldn't do that if they weren't goo at what they did. My interaction was excellent.

I looked far and wide for cedar fence posts and rails to replace a fence my grandfather had put in at our family camp on Oneida Lake in Central New York. I wanted the new fence to as closely as possible resemble the previous fence. AVO Fence of Stoughton, MA had what I wanted and more importantly they were very patient and helpful. Being a novice, I specified a length for the rails that was going to end up with all the rails too short to work. Luckily, in my discussions with AVO, I was educated as to the specification used in fencing. Once the lengths were adjusted and the fencing was prepared I drove to Massachusetts to pick it up. Initially I thought the price was high, but after significant research into the cost of cedar fencing I realized AVO's pricing was in line with the market. I had to put off the installation until the fall, but the results were fantastic. Thanks to all the folks at AVO.
