I had called him for a drain cleaning which he quickly referred me to someone else for and at the same time agreed to come in and swap out a gas line from the main to our range for us. Jim had delays due to some of the worst traffic we've had in the Boston area and let me know well ahead of time he would be delayed, then showed up on time and finished the job quickly. Was very responsive and over-communicated when needed.

Very satisfied with the job. Jim was flexible in coordinating timing of the work with the delivery of my new washer and dryer. The work all appears to be of high quality. Jim also took care of pulling a permit and arranging for the inspector to come when the job was finished. Price was reasonable and did not exceed the original estimate. Would use again.

Second time we used his services. Knows his stuff and did a good job.

James was well prepared and worked efficiently completing all three projects in one day. He is very experienced with old houses like ours and knew exactly what to do. Next time we have plumbing issues I will be sure to call him.

We had originally contacted James to replace the sight glass on our boiler as it was covered in sludge/scale. The night before James was going to come by, we found that we also had a damaged steam pipe. James came by to initially assess the job, but was able to squeeze us in on the same day. Despite the materials exceeding his initial quote, James stuck to the price he gave us upon first assessing the damage.

Jim was very quick and efficient in getting all the work done exactly as agreed. And he really helped us out in the removal of the old, very heavy, hot water heater, which wasn't part of the original deal. We had just arranged for him to disconnect it and then we'd get rid of it. He went above and beyond in helping us to take away the old tank away and arranging for its disposal because he's just a super helpful guy.

This proved to be a difficult endeavor as we don't have a water tank & hot water is made through a tank less system ... James hung in there as we had to replace multiple cartridges & valves to make this particular system correct & James was always available to assit. good guy.

It went very well. Have used James before and I find him very trustworthy. He is on-time, sincere, does excellent work. I don't have a way to compare prices, but I like having a local plumber that does excellent work, is available and easy to talk with.

I had gotten three estimates for the work and Jame's bid was very competitive. The work we needed done was very complicated/tricky, so I liked the fact that I was talking with the person who was actually going to be doing the work. Pool heater gas line proved to be quite difficult, but James kept at it and stuck to his estimate. Very happy with that work. Also had James install high efficiency gas boiler and super store hot water tank system. Couldn't be happier with the final install - very neat and clean work. The new system has worked very well this past tough winter. Very pleasant to deal with, and professional work. Would strongly recommend.

He is prompt. He showed up, gave me a quote within a day or two. It did about days worth of work and then I think he left early the first day. He must have been going out to perform other quotes. He came back on the next morning and finished up pretty quickly. On all, it's about days worth of effort.

Went very well. Mr McNiff came twice, once to unhook the old dryer, once to connect the new dryer. Punctual, professional, good communication.

I chose them because of a recommendation from a neighbor. Fair price, excellent quality and very professional.

I really can't say enough good things about Jim. Oil to gas is super complicated and there's a lot of options. He priced out all of the various options and met with my husband and I in the evening to figure out details. My 3 year old son was always up in his face wanting to "help" and Jim was really sweet and patient with him. Jim worked with our schedule during the week of July 4th while we were on vacation so that we wouldn't be there with all of the noise. He was always super professional and hard at work! When the job was over Jim had gotten and filled out the rebate paperwork for us so all that we have to do is finish it off and mail it in. I have, and will continue to call Jim for any other plumbing needs. Decent contractors, especially plumbers, are really hard to find. Jim is definitely a good and decent guy and will do a great and fair job!

He did call me back and let me know he was booked out for a month. I appreciate him calling me back.

Mr. McNiff came when he said he would, did what he said he would do, and charged a fair price. The drain problem is ongoing, so we may well ask him back to revisit the issue.

Jim was quick to respond to my call He listened to my complaint and made quick assessment and suggestion. He came replaced faucet....neat, clean, professional. Jim also quote me for another job. Very pleased.

He was responsive to my calls and punctual with the appointments. He even helped with energy rebate form. Everything was done as promised and I am happy with his service.

We had sent out 6 inquiries from plumbers that we found on Angie's list. Jim was very prompt responding to our initial inquiry. He gave us very reasonable pricing based upon our scope of work and was very accommodating scheduling to coordinate with our availability . He installed the water heater and we are very satisfied with his work as well as his expertise. We look forward to working with him again.

Jim was very courteous and helpful. He made several trips to the basement to investigate the hot water system and furnace. He asked a lot of questions in order to fully understand the problem. When he first replaced the cartridge, the problem was still present, so he called one of his contacts to discuss it further (and determine the proper resolution). He had to go purchase a different part and returned in a very timely manner. The only downsides were that he was a bit late (30 min) and he didn't have booties to cover his shoes, which made a bit of a mess throughout the house. But all in all, he was very professional and fair. I would definitely use him again.
