Peter was totally professional from start to finish. He was immediately responsive to emails; provided a quote in the given time frame, was punctual in all interactions; and delivered the services in two days as promised. His pricing was fair and reasonable and work quality outstanding. He and his employees completed the work and left the premises in a clean state. I would use Maguire Masonry again personally and would recommend him to others.

Peter was punctual and personable, he informed us what it would entail, prep work needed, labor, dust , time required. Job was both started and finished as told. Peter came on site numerous times to monitor jobs progress. Daniel was very pleasant , kept us informed , arrived as scheduled. This was very dusty job but due to the diligent prep work minimum affect into our living space. We are very happy , looks great and would recommend Peter Maguire company.

Working with Peter was an excellent experience from start to finish. His communication was prompt and clear and I knew exactly what to expect. The work started when promised and took two days, as anticipated. The chimney is absolutely beautiful! It is so true that you get what you pay for and this exceptional and professional work was definitely worth the price. I would definitely hire Peter for another project.

Our foundation is around 100 years old. Maguire Masonry trenched around our entire foundation, removing pavement, concrete, dirt, trees, and stumps. They were originally planning to dig down 30" around the entire house, while removing all trees and stumps which were too close and/or growing inside the foundation. As the work started and some tree stumps were pulled out of the foundation, our basement started flooding more than usual, so Peter decided to dig that section down 6 feet below ground, rather than just the 30", put a ton of cement down in that area, and rebuild the corner entirely, at no extra cost to us. We had some scrap materials in the yard, and they used those for framing new concrete in our yard. They took all of the paint off the bricks and performed a beautiful restoration job of the brickwork. All of the work appears to be done very well.

They were excellent, they did a great job. I already refer him to a lot of people. The price was very reasonable for the quality of the work.

Peter and his crew were extremely professional. Always punctual and very detail-oriented. We had some water seeping into our basement and needed to have it waterproofed. Peter and his crew excavated the foundation to the footer, insulated and re-enforced the block walls, waterproofed, and re-pointed all of the joints. Peter always kept me informed of the work that was being done - either through text messages with pictures or phone calls. He was always very responsive. The work Peter and his team did is of the highest quality. At the end of the job everything was cleaned-up and all of our plants were re-placed exactly where they were before.

We highly recommend Maguire Masonry! When we contacted Peter about fixing our front steps, he came to the house right away. Our steps were in major disrepair and had been "fixed" haphazardly over the years. It was a daunting job, and Peter was very clear and honest about the work that was needed. We appreciated that he said, "I don't do band-aids. If you want a quick fix, I'm not your guy." We wanted it done right, so we hired him. He carefully and painstakingly went over every inch of the area that needed repairs and made sure we were absolutely clear on what needed to be done, how long it would take, and how much it would cost. Peter also emphasized that he guarantees his work, and his approach to the project was consistent with this. He was in constant communication with us from the start of the project to its finish. We were amazed by the final product: our steps are so much safer now, and they are beautiful! Peter and Daniel were also exceptionally professional and considerate, and thoughtful about how the work would impact our neighbors. They cleaned up the work space every day, even hosing down our garbage barrels! We cannot recommend Maguire Masonry highly enough and will hire them again if we decide to update our back patio.

We received a fair estimate for the work we needed done and that was the end price as well. It took them 3 days (as promised) to complete the job. They were punctual and professional. We are so happy with the finished stairs, they really did a great job and were a true pleasure to work with!

I contracted with Maguire Masonry to repair our foundation as above. Peter is a personable guy and what stands out is his desire to do the best job for you. Some areas needed extra work & rebuilding which only became obvious upon excavation. Peter made adjustments to the plans to remedy these issues (at no extra expense to me) His worker Daniel is skilled at what he does which adds to the finished appearance of the job. Peter kept me informed on the project via phone pictures as they went along. This attention to detail & pride in the work is admirable. I appreciate that he accommodated my wishes with some added final touches which really made me happy.

We asked Peter for an estimate to repair our front steps. We've been patching them for decades. He said no, basically, they need re-doing. So we agreed. He started the next day, and was done in three day. Meticulous work. High dollar, to be sure, but you get what you pay for. Then when I explained the low wall I needed in the back yard, he offered to do it right after the steps at a price very favorable compared to estimates I had received in the past. That was done a couple of days, too, he did exactly what we wanted, meticulously. He cleaned up after them very nicely, even offered to do another smaller job "on the house". Highly recommended.

Mr. Maguire was very prompt in returning our call and giving an estimate. We needed the chimney repointed and the crown of the chimney to be repaired. We also needed our front steps to be repaired. He stuck to his timeline and did an excellent job. We did not realize how bad our front stairs looked until they were repaired! We even had two neighbors stop by to get his information because they were impressed and needed similar work completed. Overall we had a great experience working with Mr. Maguire.

Asked Pete to repair my entire foundation, 100 + year old house ! The price was very good and the work even better. I can’t say enough about the quality of workmanship, the politeness, knowledge of all his people. Hard workers they are!! Excellent. Peter is very professional, expert in his work and provides quality workmanship. Very attentive and performed job exactly as he described. We are quite pleased with the results. Although this maybe a rather small job for him, he provided an exceptional level of service. He is timely, hands-on and hardworking. Daniel, his co-worker is also very hardworking. You can tell the pride they carry in there work. It was sincerely a pleasure working with him on this project. I would highly recommend Peter and his company in the future. To that end, in the middle of this job, Peter noticed some issues with our chimney. I am pleased to say he will be doing the required repairs, this week ! Peter was prompt. I can say that Peter is one of the more prompt and hard working contractors I have worked with. He dug three feet down around our entire basement, chiseled out all the old mortar, then filled everything below grade with mortar and covered with bitumen to keep water from seeping in. He did all this quite quickly in the hottest days of summer. He even cut out an old rundown chainlink fence that was in the way for completing the project at no extra charge. The foundation looks brand new, actually better than it probably did in 1895 when last touched due to the new windows. I would highly recommend his services. PS - I don't think I ever reviewed him on the three chimneys he repointed for us in a separate project, but it was the attention to detail that he did on that project that made us return to him for the giant undertaking of the basement. He is not only a hardworking contractor with great skill, but he is honest and will not just try to take your money.

Peter showed up to inspect the site, he provided a detailed estimate, he answered all our questions. He was flexible with working around our schedules and did the work within a week of signing the contact. I think that latter is unusual, it just so happened he had an opening because it was the week of Labor Day. His crew is great. They did a great job with the work and a fantastic job cleaning up the work site every evening as well as when the job was completed. Peter is easy to work with, clear, punctual, and a really nice guy. It was a pleasure to talk with him every morning. The foundation looks great!

Amazing work. Peter was always on time starting from his first visit to discuss the work. Prior to starting the job, Peter was very helpful in offering his honest opinion of what work needed to be done and even swung by on a Saturday morning to show us a couple different options we could choose in terms of masonry. During the work Peter and crew were really great at keeping the work area clean and keeping us up to date with progress and unexpected issues discovered during the work. The work was completed quickly and without any interruptions other than weather. I was out of town during the rebuild of the steps, and when I returned, other than my shiny new stairs there was no evidence that any work had taken place.

Excellent professional. Peter knows what he's talking about when it comes to masonry. He and his workers were on the job at or before 7am each morning. They worked tirelessly throughout the day, never complained about rain or heat. The job was done to perfection. Honestly, thorough doesn't begin to explain it. They dug a deep trench around the perimeter to clean, seal, and resurface our hideous and crumbling foundation. Peter is responsive and unlike other businesses, he was overseeing all the work.

Showed up promptly and assessed quickly that it would need an arborist and that a patch job would be inadequate due to status of wall. Was upfront about the job being larger than I thought, out of scope of what he could do, and about the type of expertise I would need. The efficiency and candor were appreciated.

Considering all the work that was done such as digging, removing of debris, sealing both the inside and outside walls and now having a dry cellar, we wish we had looked into this sooner. We are very pleased with Peter and his workers.

text book. They were quick to provide a very competitive and fair price and completed the job within a few days after the quote. They were professional, took before and after pictures to show us and cleaned up everything after. The person who did the work actually worked the entire time with a small lunch break and prepared a safe work area. That never happens anymore. He never took smoke or phone breaks that often occur with other contractors.

Maguire Masonry did an amazing job on this project. I couldn't be more satisfied with the quality of their work, their timely work in getting the job done quickly and the overall results. They tore down two chimneys high on my three story room, took them down to the base of the room, then rebuilt the chimneys with all new bricks. They were always on time and consistently went above and beyond the call of duty. A couple examples of what a great job they did: 1. We originally were hoping to use the old bricks to maintain consistent look, but the bricks didn't come down in whole pieces, so they found a good replacement brick and didn't change timeline or cost. 2. They noticed some bad spots on my roof that were away from the work on the chimneys and replaced missing shingles and re-caulked some areas for me. 3. Their clean up was great and the work was done in November. They even cleaned out the leaves in my gutters. Like I said, I highly recommend Maguire Masonry - Peter and his team did an outstanding job.
