Description of Work: I looked up a number of upholstering vendors but only needed one to perform the service. I didn't use any of the above vendors - just Mellett

+ -1 moreBob came to my home to see the sofa. Said he would tie the springs. I know at least one spring was out of commission because when you sat on the sofa you could hear a boinnngg. It's a nice sofa and built well. Ididn't think I would be able to find a new sofa built as well so I bit the bullet. Bob had to bring the sofa to his shop to do the work. He had a high school boy help him move it. I thought it was expensive but hadn't had this type of work done previously. No guarantees on workmanship. I think if something goes wrong and I need it fixed, he will stand by his work. It's is difficult to evaluate the work done because you cannot look inside the sofa. The sofa does not boinnnggg any longer when you sit on it. YIPPEE!

+ -1 moreMr. Mellett offered to pick up the rocking chair that has been in the family at least 60 years and had just been refinished. His estimate was about $50.00 less than another upholsterer. Neither quote included the fabric. I happened to have some that worked quite well and I am thrilled by the end result. I would strongly recommend Mr. Mellett. He was professional and his handiwork was impeccable.
Description of Work: Reupholstered the base with matching skirting as well as constructed reversible seat and back cushion for a "Cricket" rocking chair.
