We bought our year old house and Maytag front loader and dryer in June 2006. The house inspection revealed the washer had leaked onto the floor. The owners stated that too much detergent was used once and suds leaked out. Periodically, I would notice a wet floor; the most recent incident when few items were washed. I called Boston Appliance Co. They responded immediately. The repairman, Bob Cincotta, spent quite a lot of time and energy trying to determine why a new machine would leak. He had not encountered this problem before but knew there was a problem with the door. On his own time, he called people who he thought may be able to solve the mystery and also visited an appliance store to get information. He determined the vent tube in the door must be missing or damaged and ordered the part. He was correct, and the problem is solved.

Terrible. This company was called to replace the parts. The company sent a guy who showed up, charged the money and left. No services were done at all.

Boston Appliance was courteous on the phone. They offered someone to come the afternoon I called, but I asked for the next day. Steve(?) arrived in the middle of the three hour window. He determined the problem/solution, told me about it and said the cost (service call plus repair). I okay-ed it and he got the part while I got the vacuum as requested. He vacuumed the dust/lint while the machine was pulled from the wall and various covers were removed. I appreciated this, especially because a lot accumulates in our self-venting unit (rather than venting to the outside, our dryer vents to a water bin that, in theory, collects the dust). It's running fine now. They offered a 90 day warranty.

The company was immediately available to set up an appointment. Times offered were convenient. Repairman, Bob, showed up within the 2 hour window of time. He called ahead of time. He immediately diagnosed the problem, explained it to me, and fixed it within a half hour.

My experience with this company has been mixed. The first time we had a problem, the repair person did not show up within his window, and I needed to leave for the afternoon. When I called late in the day to complain, they were extremely responsive, and gave me an exact time for a service call early the next day. The second time our oven broke, a different repair person came, right at the beginning of the window, and took everything apart in an attempt to save our oven, which sadly could not be done. I was pleased with their service and would use them again.

The most important thing was that the fridge was not working at all before they came out. They came out the same day and repaired it. It ran fine after they repaired it. They told me there maybe a problem with the compressor if it failed again but it didn't fail again.

Boston Appliance was great. My first appointment was five days out, but a receptionist called back and said a new person made the date too far away, so she booked me for first thing, the next AM. The repairman really tried to resolve the problem in the least expensive way. He warned the replacement part might take one week, but he called very early the next morning to say he had the part and could come right over. There was constant communication with this company.

Excellent service, on time as promised, no additional charges.

Although their web site advertises 7/24, Same Day Service, a call placed on Saturday morning was not returned. I had to call back on Monday afternoon to speak with someone and make an appointment. The repairman called to confirm the appointment, and arrived at the agreed time. He was friendly and efficient. He did a good job and my problem was solved. I would recommend this company.

One of the best repair experiences I have ever had. Tony (T-Bone) was a really nice guy and very professional. He quickly assessed the situation and gave me a very reasonable quote. He worked very quickly and cleaned up after himself. He had to work on a stackable unit in a very small space which has been frustrating for other repairmen Not a problem for Tony. He had a great attitude. I highly recommend Boston Appliance!

Excellent. The work was done quickly and the repairman spent extra time with us, showing us how to avoid problems in the future.

This was a first-rate experience. The office gave me a two-hour window in which to expect the repairmen, starting a half hour after my call. The men arrived right about the middle of that window. They were prompt, clean, professional, and effective. I was really impressed.

The technician took 5 minutes to diagnosed the problem and then informed me of the problem. Conveniently he had the part in the truck. He was polite and quick. It was a straight-forward problem dispached with expeditedly. It's been a couple of weeks and half dozen loads of laundry later, no problems, no complaints. Also the office seemed efficiently run.

I wouldn't hesitate to call again. I first called the 24 hour service on Sunday evening. They picked up immediately, were friendly and said they could have someone here Monday. I made the appointment for Tuesday morning because of my own schedule. I called back on Monday around noon to say my schedule had changed and could they sqeeze me in? They said they'd put me on the wait list and would call if someone was in the neighborhood. About 2 pm the repairman, Tony (goes by T-Bone beacuse there are several Tony's), called to say he would be over within 30 minutes. He arrived right on time. In addition to fixing the problem, he explained how the fan and cooling settings worked, and gave me several recommendations for better frige life, and why (e.g. don't keep plastic bags in the back near the intakes). The work was clean and quick. He was friendly, courteous and on time. I'd definitely call Boston Appliance again.

The repairmen arrived within 30 minutes of my service request call. They were courteous, neat, and worked efficiently. The cost was reasonable ($60 for service call and $30 for labor).

The repairman showed up 1/2 hour before their window and was actually done before they said they were even going to be there. Quickly diagnosed the dishwasher fault and installed the disposal with no issue. Totally professional and hassle-free.

They very nicely told me that the range was not worth fixing. I think they are very knowledgeable. They are very prompt and affordable. It was two different visits, one for the house call to look at the range which was $40 and then to repair dryer which was $150.

Repair man was onsite within 2 hours after I called, as he was in the area on another service call. Very polite and professional. He said that unfortunately, if any other part had died, it would be repairable, but with this model of fridge and condenser, it would be cheaper to just replace the fridge. (It's old and from the 80's anyways.) Very happy with service - I'd hire again.

They came the same day. The repairman was friendly and helpful. He knew what he was doing -- unlike two other people who half-fixed the problem and left, he stayed till he had both burners just right.

I called in the morning about my stove that wasn't working and they came out the same day. They give a 2 hour window and arrived well within that time. The woman on the phone and the gentleman who repaired my stove were both pleasant and professional.

I think they were great. They told us that we needed a new fridge instead of trying to fix something that was not going to help. I liked them, very honest.

HE IDENTIFIED THAT I HAD AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. HE GAVE ME SEVERAL OTHER TIPS FOR THINGS AROUND THE HOUSE. VERY POLITE AND EFFICIENT. GOOD SERVICE.

Boston Appliance was on time, and had been flexible earlier in the day when I needed to change the appointment to later in the afternoon. They also gave me a much smaller waiting window than other places I have called. The service rep, T-Bone, was very polite and I appreciated that he nicely insisted that I pay attention to what he was doing so that I would understand better how my stove and oven work, and how to maintain them in the future. He also made helpful suggestions for cleaning and maintaining the appliance in the future. I really appreciated that. I could not believe that I got such pleasant service at 4pm the Friday before Christmas!

Called at the end of New Years day and was able to schedule for the next day. Said they would come between 10-12 and at a bit before 12, called to say they were running late but arrived within 15 minutes. Very polite and professional, and took care of everything within 30 minutes.
