We called another company to repair it and they said it would be at least 4 weeks! So we called Boston Appliance, at 8:00 pm and they said they would be here the next day - and they were, in the time window they had promised, even though there was a blizzard. The repair person quickly diagnosed the problem,and repaired it immediately with parts he had with him. Couldn't have been smoother, from start to finish.

Bob and his son Nick were on time (gave a 10 minute call ahead) and were very friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to diagnose and fix the problem within 15 minutes, using a part from their truck. A great experience!

At Angie's List recommendation, I called Boston Appliance Repair to examine possible leak in clothes washer. Office was cheerful & sent someone the next day. I said washer was in small closet & did they have a small person to send. Indeed they did. Woman said "you want Bob!" Next day he called promptly to say his truck was in the shop & he was using someone else's car & could he come the next morning. He did come with his son & found there was nothing wrong. I had created a spill when stuffing a blanket into the washer. He was quick, efficient & said if anything happened in the next two weeks, the service call would be free. I was pleased and impressed. Another company had wanted me to wait till the end of November for an appointment.

It went very well! I called in the morning made an appointment for the afternoon. I was given a time frame of 3 - 5, Tony called BEFORE 3 PM to say he was running late (stuck in traffic). I called originally because my VERY old dryer stopped turning. I figured it was the belt, since everything else (power and heat) came on just fine. Tony suggested that the door latch be fixed ($17 part). He fixed the lint trap for free...

I called the office and they were pleasant and able to accommodate me with same day service, which I declined for the next day, when Jay the serviceman called before the appointment, met with the tenant, diagnosed the issue in a timely fashion, looked for the parts - but they needed to be ordered. He was back in the time that he said it would take, perhaps a little sooner - completed the job and was very professional and courteous over the phone.

I was very pleased with there professional behavior. They were very neat and cleaned up after themselves. They were nice enough to take the dryer apart and make sure it was thoroughly cleaned inside. I am glad that I don t have to worry about having any problems.

Boston Appliance Repair came on time and were very nice and professional. It must have been a coincidence, but the refrigerator broke the next day. They came back and discovered that the internal compressor was not working. This was all under warranty so we didn't have to pay them.

The service was excellent and for no extra charge they cleaned excess lint out of the dryer, taped the dryer hose with plumber tape, and disabled the dryer buzzer that wouldn't go off. They got back to me same day with part.

A call made at 8:30 AM was courteously answered, providing full details regarding cost. I was given multiple same-day scheduling options. Repairman and his son in training arrived within ten minutes of scheduled time, were extremely polite, informative, efficient, capable, and neat. The repair was 100% successful and they even showed me how to perform the repair myself in a future situation. Cost of repair would have been even lower, but I asked him to examine a possible problem with a gas range, which required an hour to disassemble and re-assemble. Problem turned out to be exterior to the range. I was impressed with their expertise, courtesy, and respect for the leaving everything exactly as they found it. Would happily call on them again.

I called Wednesday morning for someone to take a look at my washer which was not draining water. For $59.00, they sent someone out the next morning on time within a 2 hour window(they could have come that afternoon, but I could not be home then). The repairman seemed knowledgeable and quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. The cost of the replacement part and time included the $59 for coming out to see it.

When I called, I told the dispatcher that I needed a new front felt and provided the model number. When the technician arrived, he looked at the dryer, determined it needed a new felt, and took down the model number. This visit cost $60 (more than normal because it was a Saturday) but got me no closer to a working dryer. I would prefer that they had warned me that they do not stock the felts and would have to order it anyway. The felt was replaced the following Wednesday morning for an additional $140 (parts and labor). The repair seems to have been successful but the technician left a mess on the floor of the laundry room. Contrary to the information on Angie's list, this company does service Arlington.

They provided terrific service, but were a little pricey.

I called Boston Appliance and the woman who answered the phone quickly had me describe the problem. She than explained the charges and when I agreed, she said she could have someone there within the hour. Sure enough Jay arrived within the hour. Examined the stove as described above explained the costs and when I agreed quickly completed the job within an hour.

When our dishwasher would not drain out properly we had Boson appliance come out. They arrived at the scheduled time and quickly found the problem, they had the parts available on hand to replace, and the work went quickly. I would recommend their services.

I had a very good experience both times I used this company. They were able to send a repair technician to my house quickly and at a convenient time. The first time I used them was for the dishwasher (the tension mechanism that keeps the door from slamming down had broken). They came back within a few days to do the work, after the part had arrived, and the cost was well-below what the Kitchenaid, approved servicer had quoted me. The second time I used them was when my refrigerator stopped cooling a few days after Thanksgiving. Again, they came to the house quickly and this time were able to fix the problem on the spot. The repairman vacuumed some dust out from under the unit and hit the re-set switch. I only wish the Kitchenaid manual had told me where this switch was so I could have tried this fix for myself, before having to call someone. Both repairmen were courteous and efficient.

The technician was very helpful and seemed to know what he was doing. I was very pleased. Perhaps the most remarkable thing is did was to advice me "against" repairing a creaky dryer, since the repair cost would have come close to the cost of a new one. That's an admirable quality you don't see too much anymore. I was pleased with this company and would choose them again.

We called the 24 hour service number when we realized our ice cream was melting. This was a Friday evening, just before midnight. I left a message and did not hear back from them. Saturday morning I called back and spoke to a very nice women who was surprised we didn't get a call back yet. They sent someone out that afternoon (he arrived promptly on the early side of the time window given)and he was able to replace the fan motor efficiently. Our charges included the cost of the motor ($62.50 + tax)), his time ($40), and the cost of a service call ($59.95). Although we were disappointed no one called us back from their ''24 hour phone service'', we were pleased with the service from Saturday morning on.

My dryer on a stackable washer/dryer broke. They came in and assessed the work on a Friday. He came back with the new motor and fixed it on Tuesday.

Very good. Came when scheduled. Replaced oven igniter, and cleaned stove burners.

I called on Thursday at about 2 pm. The woman who answered the phone said she would try to get somebody to my home the next morning. Called back and she said that indeed they would be there between 8 and 10. Arrived at 8:45, fixed the dishwasher by 9:30. A very good experience.

HAD TO WAIT 1 WEEK FOR A BOSCH SPECIALIST TO BECOME AVAILABLE. WAIT FOR A TECHNICIAN WHO SPECIALIZES IN THE APPLIANCE AFFECTED. PROMPT RESPONSE.

There were several positive things. The repairman was knowledgeable, performed the work quickly and in the time period stated (1 hour). The cost was approx. $50 less than estimated (always a nice surprise). On a less positive note, he reeked of cigarette smoke and the smell lingered long after he left. Also, he had to come back twice as he brought the wrong part the first day. When I scheduled the appointment, I specified the model of my washing machine, but somewhere along the line that information was not taken into account. The repairman arrived late both times. The first day he was late 15 minutes and the second day he was late 2 1/2 hours. This is my second time using Boston appliance. My first time was for a dishwasher repair and I had a 100% positive experience.

Great. I called for service at 9am, and was given a time to expect the service between 1pm - 3pm that day. Bob then called me at 11am to say he could come before 1pm if I was available. Bob was great, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. I would use Boston Appliance again in the future.

In October 2006, the refrigerator stopped working after a day of intermittent buzzing and clicking noises. Boston Appliance repairman came, diagnosed a bad 'relay', replaced it, and explained that bad relays are often a sign of bad compressors. If the problem recurred, the compressor would need replacing. In February 2007, the refrigerator is making the same buzz clicking sound. Called Boston Appliance, 20 minutes later a repairman came, investigated and diagnosed a bad compressor. As it is under warranty, he gave me the Maytag warranty number to call (they do not do warranty work) and left without charging for the visit.

I called for an appt. & had a technician at my house the next morning, arriving within the 2-hour window offered. In 20 minutes he was finished replacing the oven's glow-bar & it worked perfectly. I also asked about replacing a stove top burner, but explained that labor costs would be so much in comparison to the value of having it replaced. I agreed and appreciated the frankness. Then he replaced the fridge's water valve, since the ice maker was not working. Next day, I noticed water leaking from the fridge. I called immediately, they came by the same afternoon. He fixed another problem with it & charged me nothing, saying his work is guaranteed. Next day, the fridge was STILL leaking & he came out again. This time, the fridge had burnt out the water valve he originally installed. Again he replaced it, checked over the unit, and again, charged me nothing, even though this was a $78 part and his third time to my house. I was extremely happy with his service!
