Description of Work: Alicia helped us plan out a kitchen that is beautiful and fit comfortably in our budget. We went in not knowing much and took a long time to make some decisions but she was very patient and even helped us with finding a carpenter to install the cabinets and another store specializing in countertops.

The service was excellent. The staff was very good. They left the area very clean every day. They arrived when they said they would. They were fine.
Adam's Kitchen coordinated all the contractors (and ensuring that they work was quality and satisfactory). The counter joint was was not well done and included a chip. Adam's Kitchen had them redo it. They saw the project from beginning to end.
Description of Work: Brand new kitchen, previous kitchen was completely gutted. Custom cabinets, tile floors, back splash, milestone counters. New half bath built from scratch and new hard wood floors in living room/dining room.

Having never remodeled a kitchen and bathroom before, I was unsure of the order of events. By the time we met with Alicia, I had already taken a sort of a la carte approach: rather than having chosen a contractor who referred me to Alicia to design the kitchen and bath and who lined up the different vendors for the granite, appliances, tile, etc., I had chosen the contractor, the kitchen and cabinet designer, the granite vendor/installer, and appliances and fixtures all before the work started. In that way, I might have done things a little backwards, but Alicia and my contractor (Brandon of Superior Kitchens and Baths) worked really well together, and neither of them ever made me feel like my approach was less than ideal. So with my contractor's computer sketches and rough measurements, Alicia gave us an estimate (which ended up being almost the exact figure). Later Alicia took exact measurements, and came up with plans for the cabinets in both the kitchen and bath. (Her measurements and plans were so precise that there are areas of the kitchen that are truly design and engineering marvels.) I originally had a different line of cabinets in mind, but when Alicia explained the differences among the lines, and then wtihin a line (framed versus frameless, plywood boxes versus real wood, etc.), we actually ended up going with a less expensive line that had all the qualities we were looking for. Alicia never used any type of pressure or other annoying sales tactics--just honesty, patience, perfectionism, a great product, knowledge, and competence. Both Alicia and the general manager (Mark) know more about cabinets, the different lines, how they are made, how to install them, and how to adjust them than I could ever imagine someone who didn't build and install them knowing, and both were more than willing to share their knowledge and answer all of our questions. (Alicia is also quite skilled as a mediator, which is quite an art when there are expensive decisions being made and several different personalities involved.) The quality of the product, amazing precision and attention to detail, and outstanding customer service made this project very pleasant and rewarding.
Description of Work: My husband and I stopped by Adams Kitchens several months before we actually decided to go ahead with the project, just to look around. We had done some research on cabinets, and we knew that Adams Kitchens carried the line we were looking for. Alicia greeted us and let us walk around by ourselves. She offered to help if we needed her help, but didn't hover over us or follow us around. (Alicia maintained this type of low-key, low-pressure--yet extremely knowledgeable--approach throughout our entire experience with her, it turns out.) A few months later, after having decided on a contractor, we went back to give Alicia a better idea of what we had in mind, so we could start to figure out how much this project would cost in total. With basic sketches and measurements, Alicia was able to put together a configuration of cabinets; her original design, which involved moving things around to make a better use of space, is the one we ultimately went with. We gutted the kitchen, breakfast nook, and bathroom off the kitchen, and put in new floors, cabinets, crown moulding, fixtures, and appliances. Although Alicia was in the loop every step of the remodel, we purchased only the cabinets from Adams Kitchens.
