Overall we are satisfied with the end results. Our cabinet installer sub contracted with this company last minute in an effort to get our kitchen done on schedule, and so that we could actually go see the granite before it was installed. The initial installers were prompt, and pleasant, but when they left we could see that they had made our sizable gouge in our window trim, and the countertops were very sticky with what felt like rubber cement. (We acknowledge that granite is heavy and unwieldy, so chalked it up and painted over the gouge.) We were also missing a piece of backsplash that they needed to come back and install. When they came back to install the additional backsplash and clean up some, we realized that they had left corners of the newly installed piece very sharp and jagged, and there were still some very sticky places that needed attention. When they had to come back a third time to fix the sharp corners and to clean up the glue, they were not as pleasant, and it felt strained. To be fair though, they did keep coming back, until we were generally satisfied. The granite is very pretty, but in certain lights it looks splotchy. (We are first time granite owners so this may very well be common and not reflective of Continental.) And as stated, only in certain lights, and at certain angles do you even remotely notice. In general the countertop is lovely, and it seems to be functioning well. Seams fit together nicely, the beveling was done nicely, and the sink seems to be set well. We just feel we might try other resources if there was a next time.

This company is horrible. First they lost the stone I purchased and did not tell me until the day before it was going to be cut. I had to rush down and pick something new that day. I stressed to the sales woman multiple times what I wanted. When the stone was installed, it was cut the opposite of what I asked for. Spoke to the owner/manager Manny who was nothing but rude to me while I was trying to explain why I wasn't happy. Did not care at all. Told me I could have another piece cut but it would cost me double what I already payed . When I told him he had horrible customer service he proceeded to threaten to sue me if I said anything negative to anyone about his business. Shady and crazy. Stay away from this place!

Once the granite was ordered it was about 2 weeks before we were scheduled for installation. The 2 installers were friendly and efficient. They were also neat and clean. We were so happy with Continental that my father hired them a few months later to install granite in his kitchen. He was also very pleased with the whole process. I would not hesitate to recommend Continental to any of my friends or family members.
Description of Work: We renovated our kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Tamara was the sales rep that I dealt with and she was extremely helpful in helping me choose the granite for all 3 rooms. She was prompt in getting back to me with any questions that I had. Tamara was the only person from any of the 3 granite companies that I contacted who called me back. Prices were competitive and there were many different granite slabs to choose from.

My initial contact was on line. I was quoted a price based on my initial request. Then I changed my mind numerous time and they were very good. They would send me a new quote very quickly. Once I finally decided I went to the Company to check the "slab". It was exactly what I wanted. I made a deposit and within a few days I received a call back to set up the in home measurements. The man that came was very good. My husband worked with him on a lazer plan and it was what my husband wanted. In took about a month to install but that was due to us being on vacation and then my being on vacation. The installation was uneventful. They gave me a 3 hour window and were right in the middle. The two men who came were very nice. They removed the old countertops and then brought in the new granite. The entire removal and installation took about 2 hours. They cleaned up after and then asked if I had any questions or concerns. I called the company back within 10 minutes of their leaving due to forgetting to ask about the back splash. They immediately got the installers on the telephone and had my question answered. The countertops came out beautiful.

Pay and take what you get. I got three large resin pools (dark purple-brown, opaque, mud puddle looking spots) front and center of my Kitchen, due to lack of concern for overall appearance by fabricator (cutting countertop out of slab of material).Company owners saw no problem with that. Since this quartz did not have chips, or fall apart, I had no recourse. Job was done to the letter of the contract, with lip service to me regarding customer satisfaction, and no pride of workmanship. Additionally, the installer asked me to say where I wanted my instant hot water faucet to go; and then put it where he thought it would look nice. I now have to reach over or around steam to use it; and the main faucet has limited range to swivel. The company owners saw no problem with that. Frosting on the cake -- Installer couldn't find the strainer I purchased from Continental Stone to bring it with him, though it was noted on the installer's form. From beginning to end no help, no consultation, no call backs. I had to initiate every call.
