After my winter service in January, I scheduled my spring service for April 18. On April 17, I received a text message telling me the technician would be coming at the scheduled time on April 18. Two hours later, I got a phone call from the scheduler at HD Air. She said they would have to cancel the appointment because they had received several emergency calls. She told me we could reschedule, but the next available date was mid-June. This makes a mockery of a 'spring' tuneup.
Description of Work: I have been a Gold Plan customer of HD Air since I moved to Southwick in 2014. My plan had lapsed two weeks ago. When I called them to renew the plans, I was told I could wait until the technician arrived and could sign up again with him. I will be finding a new provider. This is not the first time HD has cancelled an appointment with me and offered to reschedule much later. Their schedulers are disorganized and their customer service reps are unprofessional.

The thermostat on the mini split is set for 62, my bedroom is 86. Kitchen is 78. Not happy. The living room, where the mini split is installed, is 72. I guess I'll have to sleep in there tonight.

Awful. They did show up to diagnose within 24 hours. However, before leaving they left it that the part should be available for pick up at supply warehouse the next morning and heat should be back up and running next day by noon. Sounded good, especially considering middle of winter and house full of people and pets. No call, no follow up next day despite multiple attempts to get an update. BTW, was going to cost us $560. Day 3, I had to do something because worried about freezing temps and pipes. Found part for $10, ordered and received from Amazon within 24 hours, installed myself in 15 minutes. Total cost, $9.68. Labor rates for HD Air must be over $500/hour. Be aware, you will be ripped off. I used them a few years ago, service subpar, but gave them a second chance. Never again.

Worst service and Integrity of any company I've ever dealt with. If I could choose negative stars I would. We had Hurley and David replace our Furnace, AC and Water Heater over the summer. We contacted them multiple times to arrange the inspection for the plumbing and other work. They said they had contacted the city but they weren't doing inspections due to Covid. 2 months after the work was completed we filed for Energy Efficiency rebates for the upgraded equipment and were told that the AC unit did not meet the energy efficiency ratings for the rebate. After numerous attempts and 2 weeks of calls and messages, finally received a call from the Salesperson, Bill Desilets. He stated he had been informed that there is no 16 seer unit (what we were quoted and paid for) for a home my size, and that they had upgraded me to a better unit, however that unit was still not 16 seer and not as efficient. Bill explained that while I was quoted for a 16 seer unit, the unit they intended to install was only 14 seer. Due to supply issues they had to "upgrade" me to a better unit, that was still only 15 seer. I was never informed of any of this until we filed for the rebates. After some back and forth Bill Desilets said his manager approved a $1550 refund - $250 for the rebate, and $1300 in estimated savings between the 15 seer unit installed and 16 seer we paid for. They also made arrangements to have the inspection completed, which miraculously they were able to call and have done the same day. The plumbing work failed inspection and needed to be re-done. The plumbing work has been completed, and the updated inspection completed. However HD has failed to ever refund our money and now is not returning calls (most recently yesterday 12/30/21). This was a clear bait and switch in my opinion- they never had intention to install the equipment they billed me for, never notified me of the changes, and knew they could not (which they confirmed via email) install the agreed on equipment. Customer service is terrible in general also, getting through their call center is impossible. Save your money and headaches and find another company. HD take your money and end their service to you there. We'll be filing a BBB complaint and then contacting an attorney pending the outcome of that. Terrible company.

Steve the salesman came to our house and went through options for our new boiler. Although nice he was persistent and stayed at our house for hours until we agreed on something. The day of installation the HVAC person said we can't vent this thing! This is crazy! Even though Steve said they could. Anyways they had all the equipment in my driveway only to load it back up and leave. I called 3 times after so that someone would talk to me possibly about other options. I was told Steve would have to call us back. Yup, no call back. Took my 17000 in checks from my heatloan and sent them back to bank. Never did actual work so I can't really grade them on that but sales and customer service was horrible! They blew a possible 17 grand install..oh well, I won't deal with them again..period.

I will never recommend this company to anyone.
Description of Work: Installed an entirely new system - HVAC, replacing old boiler that was original to the house. A number of issues came up and was told each time, all set - repaired. I even had Calvin Fletcher out to inspect. Air flow to the second floor is poor. They removed the return on the second floor and now the air conditioned air just flows down the stairs to the living room. I have had to shut off the AC to the up stairs until I go to bed so I don't freeze myself out of the living room. Additionally, the system makes my basement too cold to work in - 65 degrees. I called on Thursday and was told I would get a call later that day. No call. Friday came and went without a call.

Description of Work: Charges $50 just to give a quote. So if they come out give you a quote but you don’t think it’s fair, to bad it cost you 50 bucks. Won’t use them.

I had two successful furnace checks with this company. The first time was so good I bought into their yearly service plan. On the second furnace check, they changed out some parts and it was expensive but services were professionally done and rendered. The third time was tonight. I called them because the furnace was out and my son said it was thirty degrees in the house - I am in South Carolina for work. I called them and they said they would dispatch a technician within a few hours. They then called me back and said I hadn't renewed my service agreement so the 40 dollar fee just became 199. I said I had asked for a renewal and never received one evidently but I would still pay the difference. An hour later another person called me and said there was nothing they could do about the 199 fee. I said I don't care at this point how much it is, please send someone to service the furnace. At this time it was around 930 pm. At 1230 in the morning I called back as nobody has shown up. The person who answered the first time responded, said the other lady scheduled a service for the morning, and there was no longer anyone who could come out tonight. They were totally unprofessional, not apologetic at all, and still wanted to charge me the 200 service fee despite jerking me and my son around. I will never do business with this company again.

They installed a central air system in my house 8 years ago, from year one it never worked properly. After countless repairs that happened almost every year, they were able to fix the heating, but the AC is still broken, they had to add coolant twice, and this year it’s low again, now they refusing to take responsibility, and fix the system properly, all these years they were blindly replacing different parts of the system without the proper diagnosis, so now I’m stuck with a broken product. Their customer service is awful, they never call back when they promised, just a horrible experience, avoid them at all cost, they sell defective products.

Wasted My Time I had previous work done and was happy with them, so I decided to have them come replace a faucet. It took 2 weeks to schedule an appointment, but I was OK with that because they said they would be able to do the work the same day if I liked the quote. (I had house guests coming and needed the work done right away and was assured that they could do it so I had no problem waiting 2 weeks.) On the day of the appointment, no one called. I had to call 3 times just to see when they would come. No one texted before arriving as they should have. The guy just showed up unannounced after I had waited for him the entire day. He spent about 7 minutes looking at the project only to tell me I needed to schedule another appointment to have it done. Had I known it would be this difficult and take this long, I would have scheduled it with another company and the work would have been done by now, and I would have had the afternoon preparing for my house guests instead of waiting around for them to come. Thanks for wasting my time.

My parents shower was leaking and causing damage to the ceiling below. Prior to calling Hurley and David four different plumbers had looked at the shower and could not find the leak. I called Hurley and David and they came to my parents’ house within a few days at which point we had the pleasure of meeting Tim, a master plumber. Within 2 minutes of him looking at the shower base he found the leak and explained clearly what needed to be done. We learned among other things that a kitchen drain had been installed instead of a shower drain. A few days later Tim retuned and in under an hour replaced the drain. He was friendly and very professional throughout his visits. I was so impressed with his work I will be hiring him to do some plumbing work in my house. I highly recommend that you consider Hurley and David and especially Tim for all your plumbing needs. They are the best!

It didn't I called for an estimate after u recommended them and they are treating it as a service call and want 99 just for coming out . Because I live in affluent area . I told them I was from Angie's list and they still said 99 bucks . Just to come out . Real sleezy and unprofessional . Bad recommend on your part .

Good Morning, Thank you for your feed back we are always looking for ways to improve and this type or feedback is valuable to help us serve you better. I am sorry that you are unhappy with our current repair pricing model. It does sound like we did not do the best job communicating what you get for the $99 service fee. For that amount, we send our technician out in a stocked truck. When he arrives, he performs a complete evaluation and safety inspection. Upon completion of the evaluation, the technician will go over all of the repair options with you, complete with a no surprises amount to complete the repairs. About 90% of the time the technician can complete the repairs on the spot using parts stocked on the truck. Some companies, might skip the safety inspection to save money, however, we would never want to take the chance of taking a system that is not operating and turning it into a system that is operating unsafely. I am not sure how the area you live in should play a part in our pricing, we have one price for all of our services and installations regardless of location, the only difference is that sometimes a job is more difficult (like replacing a system in an attic instead of a basement), but in those instances we itemize the additional amounts for transparency. The technician sent to our house was professional and polite. Diogo explained what needed to be done and why and the approximate cost. He also gave us other options on how our central air could be fixed and left the choice up to us without being pushy.

The tech was great gave me straight forward answer that confirmed what I thought the person I had come work on it damaged the unit beyond repair. So he wasn’t going to do any work on it and charge me when he couldn’t repair it or even give a good diagnosis from it. Plus he set me up to talk to someone about replacing my unit and not trying to push it told me to look around and compare. I will be using them again.
