Beau's Repair

Initially Beau quoted $1200 for the leaks. Upon asking for a Plumber's License, he handed my husband an expired HVAC license, we asked again, handed over another HVAC license. When I proceeded to call the Board of Plumbers for Massachusetts, he then became honest and admitted to not having a master plumber's license. He then reduced the price of repairing the leaks to $550. Since he had a powerwash machine with him, we paid him $100 for that service, quality was fine. The following week I asked for an estimate to fix all the drywall he removed to get to the leaks, and he quoted me $750. I bid him farewell, and found a drywall professional who did it for $250 labor only, all materials included.

Beau followed up with my phone message right away. He had no issues with coming over quickly for a very small job, and was in and out in five minutes. He did not try to up-sell me, and his work was reasonably priced.

We had The local Roto-Rooter at the house and they charged an exorbitant sum of money ($5000 or so in an emergency service) to troubleshoot and replace an underground pipe on the exterior of the building, under the driveway. That made the drains flow again, but the toilets started bubbling like crazy. The Roto-Rooter guys tried several ideas and could not identify or fix the problem and wanted more money for trying things and being wrong. I went on Angie's list and found Beau, contacted him, and he came right out to our house. we explained the issues and he was quickly able to identify the problems as being stoppage and air issue due to extremely rusted drainage piping. We went with his hypothesis and he was absolutely right. When we cut the main (6") cast Iron line, the interior diameter was barley 1". He replaced the main branch to where it split to serve the second level. and charged a reasonable price in doing so.

Beau did a wonderful job. He arrived at my house 2 hours after I called him. The sewage drain was completely backed up, and he spent many hours snaking the drain and calling in the city to clear the main sewer pipe of roots and debris. He charged a flat rate and it was well worth it!

Called right back, showed up as promised had to leave to get proper tools (power equipment) returned to finish the job that evening. He did not leave until the job was complete. Had he not finished we would have had to shower somewhere else all weekend. Thanks Beau!
