At last minute the contractor I had scheduled cancelled without notice and thats when I contacted Rick. Rick was very professional on the phone and made arrangements in the next day or so to come look at the job and to give me a quote. I explained to Rick the crunch I was in for time and Rick was able to accomodate my request for getting it done immediately. I'm so glad I called! RIck not only did the job on time but did a great job on the shower and floor. I called him back since then and he is now doing a backsplash for me around the kitchen sink. This guy is super.. he's fast, he's reliable and he's very good at what he does. I'd highly recommend him . I'm a very satisfied customer!

Choice and quality of tile was good. Was hours late for appointments, did not finish the baseboard, did not complete the floor. I just moved a table that was stationary and mounted to find he had not tiled under the leg of the table. He answers phone calls and is 'nice' but did not do a complete job.

Dear Angie, I had a home built on Cape Cod 5 years ago. After fighting with the flooring company for so many problems i decided to just have all new floors installed. After getting a few bids on the work to be done (not from the same company) I was getting frustrated! In speaking with my son one night he suggested I call a contractor he had used about 10 years ago. This company, New england custom tile and the gentleman that owns it, Rick Stearns turned out to be a great call. He came out to my home the next day at 9 a.m on time as requested. That night he called me back ,as promised, to give me some figures as well as a few options for tile. I wanted a 24and quot;x24and quot; tile that other contractors didn't seem to interested in installing. Rick told me it was because that size is more difficult to install but that it wasn't a problem for him. The tile was special order and about 5 to 7 days to get in. He actually got the exact tile I wanted for 1.04 per square foot less than I was quoted by others. The installation was started on june 12, 2012. The removal of the existing tile and install of new plywood was done the first day. The install of the new tile was done the next day, about 250 square feet. I was not around much while work progressed but every time I came home I found my home neat and clean after they had left for the day. The final day was for the grout which took about 3 hours. Rick took care of all the appliances that needed to be removed as well as placing them all back. When Rick and his crew were completed with the work the balance due was exactly what he said it would be! Not to mention you would never notice he was even here, accept for my gorgeous new floors. On budget, on time and a pleasure to deal with.
