Description of Work: Office employees are extremely rude. Murphy's has done maintenance and repairs on my gas furnace and air conditioning since they took over Souza. I will never hire them again. I will not go into detail but this has been an ongoing problem with billing and scheduling appointments with office employees.

Description of Work: The experience i had with murphy's was one of the worst experiences i have had with a service provider. i chose them based on price and the angies list rating for them. Murphy's must have written the three A reviews on Angies list, for my experience with them was dramatically different. The abbreviated version is that the install was done later than agreed, plumbed incorrectly, for a week i had no heat despite several technicians trying to figure out what the problem was, and during that week the salesman would not return my messages, and when i called and asked to speak to someone else i was put on hold for twenty minutes until i finally hung up. The only positive was the attending plumbers were respectful and courteous. The system seems to be working now, but I have not heard from Murphy's about a propane provider set up and other services they were suppose to assist me with. This experience was one for the record books. I don't recommend them.

Despite some unavoidable difficulties with this particular installation, my company finished the installation to the complete satisfaction of the client. We stand behind our work, period. There can be unforeseen challenges when changing an older piece of equipment, however, we will always deliver. Its disappointing when a difficult installation ends well with no subsequent warranty calls and still the client paints a very different, negative picture.

They were just as good as the old company that they bought. The person who came out was a young man and he said that he was doing it since he was 13 with his dad. He seemed very confident and spent more time than what the old company usually did. I think that was not because he was confused but because he was just thorough as it was the first time he was in the house. I felt like they did a great job. In the winter they send you a letter and you fill it out and say that you need a spring tune up so we didn't even actually know that the company was bought by Murphy Services. They also added plumbing. Its new and we'll just see how they respond in the future if we have a problem.

Description of Work: The heating would cut off and on erratically. Service professional was good and the service was fine but the charge was quite high in my estimation especially compared to other companies we have used in the field of heating and A/C. From the time of my call until the technician's arrival, I had turned the furnace off and then back on 10 seconds later. The furnace began working again. The technician informed me, however, that by resetting the furnace, as described previously, I erased the error message so that there was no way to determine what the problem was. The technician felt it was probably the control board but we had it replaced twice last year so I nixed this fix. We decided to wait and see if it happened again and then take a decision at that time. I had expected a bill in the neighborhood of $109 which is what we have paid to a previous company and this one also for technical services just a month before for the same problem, e.g. furnace not working. Lo and behold, I received a bill for $162 for a visit of 45 mins. and no part replacement or re-installation. I complained that the bill seemed too high but was informed that there were a number of charges involved in this visit; trip charge. on site charge, etc., etc. even though on the invoice there was one charge for labor and another for materials (although no materials were used). The company insisted that the charges listed were incorrect due to a software problem. I feel like the invoice was probably incorrect but nobody was willing to admit it. I may use this company again because they are good. If I'm lucky, I may also find another company with a reasonable charge for home visits and equally good service. Let's hope so.

Good. No problems with this company. An appointment was made and company Rep arrived as scheduled. The company Rep studied and photographed the exisiting system and took measurements of the interior living space. He explained the features and advantages of the new boilers and contrasted their performance advantages with the existing unit. As promised a quote for 2 systems was received as promised and on time. The total costs for both systems were higher than expected and not in enough detail. So a more detailed breakdown was requested. It was sent back promptly. After requesting, receiving and comparing this bid with other competitor bids. We then attempted to estimate the benefits of installing the new system. We used savings estimates provided by some of the biders and some retrieved via internet research. Using that information we were unable to calculate a reasonable rate of return that satisfied us so we cancelled our plans to upgrade.
Description of Work: Requested a bid to replace existing LP Gas furnace with a high efficiency boiler which would in turn reduce annual costs of heating. Our intent was to be able to reasonably justify the cost of the change.

Phoned company, rep arrived next day, provided estimate, drawings, advice. Set up appointment for following week, work completed in afternoon and next morning. Very professional and efficient. Took care of all plumbing and electrical. Clean, careful work. Very courteous. System worked perfectly.
