Deck Techs

Carl recommended a deep clean at low pressure to get dirt and spores out of the concrete. He was very thorough with this. Had to come back a second day to let the ground absorb the flooding from the washing so he could keep cleaning it. Once dry, he applied a bonding coat to seal the concrete, and over the next few days he applied coats of a Sherwin Williams stain that he has been using for years. It came out beautiful. We had checked Carl's references before hiring him, and talked to several other contractors. We made the right choice. He is an independent, and doesnt have much of an internet presence, but he is worth finding.

Everything went fine. Carl was very nice to work with and did a good job. I'm thinking about hiring him again to do some more work on my deck.

Carl responded promptly and provided a quote within a few days. He was very familiar with the stain we chose and had been working with it for more than five years. We choose Carl to do the work because of his expertise. Carl first power-washed everything, even around the windows near our deck. When he finished the deck looked like new. After he power-washed we had some days of rain. Once things dried out, Carl returned and applied the first coat of stain. A few days later, after the first coat was completely dry, Carl returned and applied the second coat of stain. He did a great job.
