Description of Work: My home had recurrent issues with rotting trim around the front doorway and both garage bays. Billy was very responsive to communication, informed me what he would do and when he would be there. The quality of his work was superior when I compare it to the same work done on the trim twice in the past from other providers. I did not get other quotes so I cannot really say how competitive the price was but I am very pleased with the work and with the fact that I had no trouble getting in touch with this company or getting the work completed.

Description of Work: I contacted Bill to fix my front porch. It had fallen down from the snow storm. He came right out. He gave me an estimate. Part of the payment for the porch was covered by insurance. He said he would do some other things I needed done. He did a fine job on lifting the porch and putting back the bannisters and the other 2 jobs - venting my upstairs bathroom fan to the outside and fixing some of the rotten spindles on the side of the front porch that hadn't fallen. I should have gotten an estimate of the work prior to doing it because the cost was a bit of a "surprise". He had told me he didn't do painting so I will be painting the porch myself

Description of Work: Billy was great! I had a single entry door and window removed and replaced with a patio slider in the back and in front, my neighbor ( it's a duplex) and I both had our front entry doors and side panels replaced including storm doors. | |Billy stayed true to his estimate and the work was done on time and done well! He made sure that water proof framing was put in at the base of the doors where we were having a problem with rot and put in double door closers on the storm doors. His workmanship and detail work were excellent! | |I will definitely call him whenever I need more work done!

Description of Work: Bill designed and built a customized wall size, bookshelf with file cabinet for our home office. He has able to perfomed most of the work offisite with minimal disruption to our home. He was very timely and professional and returned for minor adjustments. He also recommended a painter, who we contracteed indpendently. When inspecting the final product, Bill was dissatisfied with finish and summoned the painter for an addtional coat (at no cost). Bill is perfectionist and prduces the quality of work for high visibility high value areas. I plan to use Bill in the near future for some exterior finish work.

Description of Work: I couldn't believe that Bill Neary called me to schedule the appointment. That was a first. He hung a piece of artwork that was made of clay and in four parts. He was a perfectionist, making sure the it was level and solid. That didn't take the whole time so he helped me put some storage boxes together. I was very pleased and plan to call him if I have a bigger project.

His pricing was very competitive based on the other estimates we received, and he was able to complete the work for us on short notice. The tile work is my favorite of what he did - it came out beautifully and we've received many compliments on it as we show off our new bathroom! I've already given his contact information to two friends who are considering work on their houses & would have no hesitation in recommending him and his work to anyone.
Description of Work: Bill finished our bathroom remodel. We had already had the walls replastered, the electrical work re-done and added to, and the tub , vanity, and toilet replaced. Bill put in some beautiful glass tile above the tun surround, replaced some flooring where there was damage from the tub replacement, and trimmed out the whole bathroom. he also contracted out the painting work for us.

He was VERY prompt in returning my calls and getting the estimate to me..My husband and I both felt that his pricing was extremely reasonable,so we hired him Billy told us the start date and the finish date. I had picked out a light gray color for the roofing but when Billy saw how many trees were around our house, he suggested a darker color which also went well with the house color....He told me the light color would get dirty and look awful in a short time....Something I did not think about.. He and his crew came right on time the day he said.....they worked very hard while they were here....I never felt like they were in the way......they worked long hours and very hard. ....when they left each day, they left everything very neat....the roof has been on awhile...about 5 or 6 years and we have never had an issue with it at all. The doors Billy put on look loverly and no issues with them either. We had that bad flooding two or so years ago and my finished basement got flooded. The company I hired for the waterproofing did a great job with that EXCEPT they left my house and yard in shambles....not very neat...so I called Billy in again...he helped me tear up tiles that were cemented on very tightly and then built a beautiful cabinet to cover the sump pump battery which was huge and an eyesore...He made sure that there was plenty of room inside to be able to get access to the pump and battery in case we need to get in there, and the company is able to get inside to service it...He thought of everything... I am thinking about remodeling my kitched next and taking down a wall...Neary Construction will be the company I call for that...Billy is a perfectionist and works hard and long hours.....he does not start something and leave you waiting while he starts another project. I have seen photos of his work and it is fabulous. His pricing is very fair and the quality of work is worth every penny....Oh, I should say, too , that I felt very comfortable having Billy and his crew around and could even leave the house while they were here. Billy is full of great ideas to fit every budget so I feel that no matter what project you do he can help you stay within your budget...I think that is HUGE...so many contactors try and get you to spend more ....So happy I found Billly Neary of Neary Construction!
Description of Work: Neary Construction is fabulous and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone! I actually have made referrals to him. Billy Neary, the owner has put on a new roof for me, a front and back door, and built a cabinet in my basement to hide my sump pump. He helped me put back together my finished basement that was damaged in the flooding two years ago. The contractors I hired to do the waterproofing did a great job with that part but left the basement a total disaster area...so he was a HUGE help with the mess they lft me.

+ 7 moreA few more things about William - he works very hard and long hours. He is a perfectionist and has offered us some great suggestions from his years of experience when working on a project. He also hires competent people to help him and he is very organized!
Description of Work: William Neary is the contractor you dreamed about - he has years of experience so he offers great advice, he comes in on budget and completes the project ON TIME!!! Our family has worked with William for the past 10 years. He rebuild our deck around our above ground pool, he built an addition onto our home - a 15'x 25' sun room - with lots of windows and tile floor. He built a shelving system to help organize our recycling and added closets to our attic space. We moved to a new home and he fixed a leak above a sliding door which involved - removing siding, re-insulating, tearing down a deck and re-building it, and replaced siding. Most recently he helped pull up carpeting and installed wood laminate flooring in our lower level. We HIGHLY recommend him!!

William Neary obtained all of the needed men to get the job done quickly and efficiently. From plumbing to electrical work, William handled it all. The original plans for our kitchen were done prior to hiring William and he immediately saw that they were imperfect in dimension. He handled all of our further ordering as well as installation. The addition came out beautifully with sky lights and built in extras that turned a sunroom into a true show piece. His skill with finish work , decking, cabinetry and woodworking added so much more than we had envisioned.
Description of Work: Neary Construction was only one of five construction companies that my husband and I considered for a large kitchen renovation and addition on our home in Sharon, Ma. Neary Construction called back immediately, gave a fair estimate in a timely manner and came to begin the work on our home. The crew was top notch from day one. William Neary helped us to plan our renovations in a way that would be the best for our family's wants and needs and even advised us to rethink some of the more pricey choices we had originally made to better accommodate our budget. Neary"s crew were punctual, hardworking and professional...leaving my house in the state that it was in when they arrived...every day. The work that Neary construction completed at my home was impeccable.
