Macauley Brothers did an absolutely outstanding job! Bernie came over to give us a free estimate and when we explained what we had in mind he was even able to give us some great suggestions that made a lot of sense. We had gotten a couple of other estimates although Bernie's wasn't the least expensive, it wasn't the most expensive either, and after speaking with him we felt confident that he would be able to do exactly what we wanted for a price that was within our budget. The crew that came who did the job was very friendly, helpful and efficient and did a nice nice job and cleaned up well after themselves. And made sure that everything was perfect and we were happy before they left. I would definitely recommend Macauley Brothers Inc. to anyone who is looking to have quality landscaping work done on their property.

Every aspect of dealing with Macauley Brothers is FIRST RATE. From the insights and suggestions during the initial meetings, to the fantastic completion of the landscape and hardscape projects, as well as every step in between, their primary goal is the client’s satisfaction. For all appointments and job tasks, they show up as expected, subject to weather delays. Bernie Macauley provides his extensive expertise honestly and in s straight forward manner that the client can rely upon. He is meticulous about shopping for the landscape plants or hardscape products that will provide the best matches for the clients’ needs and goals. In our recent project, he traveled to several nurseries on his own time to locate the types of shrubs we wanted that were in the best conditions for fall plantings, rejecting several that were worn out from the long summer weather. Bernie is familiar with the climate zones and soil types that will assure the shrubs’ survivals Other landscapers would not have spent so much time on that preliminary work and due diligence. Once the selections are made, the installations of the landscape and hardscape products are done with care and attention under Bernie’s initial guidance, including the best fertilizers and other prep work. His crews show up on time, are courteous, and reflect the attitude instilled from Bernie, from the project manager to every worker. The whole team at Macauley Brothers are all professional, responsive, hard working and meticulous, so they clearly care that the clients are pleased with the outcome. If there are aspects that rarely the clients question, Bernie and his crew return to address them. Their attitude helps to virtually eliminate the stress of doing these types of projects because the clients have confidence in their work. We are very demanding clients and we have used Macauley Brothers for major landscape and hardscape projects at residential projects in Newton, on the Cape and in Chestnut Hill over several years. In every instance, their work has exceeded our expectations, while substantially enhancing the beauty and value of the properties. From our perspective, there is no better choice for landscape and/or hardscape projects in the greater Boston area than Macauley Brothers.

From Start to finish The Macauley Brothers Landscape Team did an Excellent Job. Nolish was on top of it every step of the way taking detailed information about what I wanted completed at my home. The guys were terrific edging, weeding, pruning, mulching and more. The landscaping at the house looks fantastic thanks to the team at Macauley Brothers!

Respectful workers, incredible attention to detail, worked quickly, and reasonably priced. I shed actual happy tears when they finished the job... my garden looks completely transformed, polished, and beautiful. I have a huge yard and I don't know how they cleaned up everything so well and so quickly... they literally didn't miss a single weed (and I had a lot of weeds). I am very grateful and impressed compared to other companies I have worked with in the past. Thank you!

Excellent customer service. Workers were efficient and did a fabulous job on the driveway, walkway and garden surrounds. All my neighbors have been stopping by to say WOW.

I am so thankful for the great work that was done in paving a new walkway for our home. Bernie was very professional and had a great eye on the best pavers to use along with the color to compliment our house. Matt and his partner did a fantastic job on my plant bed granite cobble stone borders. They were efficient, meticulous, easy to talk to and friendly. Took their time in laying the stones to ensure they were level and curved around the beds. Would definitely recommend them.

I could not be happier with their work!! When I reached out via Angi they got back to me immediately. They came out to give me an estimate right away. Then the work was done quickly, and the results were fabulous!! I highly recommend them!

We had a great experience! Bernie is extremely helpful and generous with his time for questions and providing his expertise. He's also very patient as it took us a long time to make final decisions. The workers on the day were some of the most friendly, attentive, willing to answer questions, and efficient I've ever seen! The supervisor/senior person working was incredible and it's a huge asset to any company to have someone like that representing your business.

Fantastic company to work with. Bernie was able to drop by and go over everything we hadn’t even thought of (drainage from our downspouts, how to think about an area by the stairs). We got great suggestions for pavers. Nolisha in the office was very responsive and excellent to work with. She was very detailed and made sure everyone was on the same page about materials, dates, etc. The crew who did the installation did a fantastic job. The patio looks amazing, including all the detail and small edges: they carefully cut pavers very small and curved to fit along an awkward area and it looks so natural. They were fast, didn’t need anything from me, and cleaned up very nicely. We got a wonderful patio for a very reasonable price and we will probably hire them again to redo our front walkway.

Excellent customer service, work, followup and pricing. Professional, friendly and obviously experienced crew. The office manager was thorough and organized and returned phone calls promptly. They exceeded my expectations from initial consult visit to post-job follow up. Will definitely hire again!
