Joe was quick to respond to my initial inquiry, and quick to schedule something. He arrived a little early (after calling to ask if that was okay). He brought an older guy to assist. The older guy did not say a word the entire time they were here, which was kind of weird. They worked pretty quickly. They use a leaf blower while walking on the roof, and blow stuff out of the gutters. This created a bit of a mess in some places as there was dirty water that got splattered on windows and shingles. They cleaned up all the stuff that landed on the ground (and a little extra, I believe), but I had to specifically point out the splatter. After I did they got most of it, but I was a little disappointed that I had to point it out. However, I am likely to hire them again.

Joe and his assistant arrived for an estimate shortly after I called. They were prompt and polite. They looked at the damage and determined that it would not be a problem to fix. They also suggested that the gutters could be cleaned out. We agreed on a price and they said they would be back in a few days. When I called Joe to set up the appointment, as we had arranged, he said he was free that afternoon, and arrived at my house within an hour. He climbed onto the ladder, and quickly went to work. He discovered that the gutters had not been properly installed and he needed to replace all of the screws holding the gutters into place around the house. He cleaned the gutters, repaired their pitch and tightened the connections so they would not leak. He repaired the initial damage and showed me additional damage that he was addressing. I also mentioned that the chimney cap had blown off and wondered if he could replace it at some point. He said he would. As part of writing this review, I went outside to check and he did that additional work without mentioning it. Joe went above and beyond in making this repair. He was an excellent choice for a roofer and I don't believe I ever would have found him if not for Angie's List. He identified work that will need to be completed eventually, but said that it was not necessary right now, of even this winter. I felt comfortable with him, and knew that he was looking out for my best interest. I would enthusiastically recommend doing business with Joe. Unlike other contractors, I did not feel that he was taking advantage of me as a female homeowner. I have a much more time intensive and costly project necessary and I will absolutely be using this company again.

The owner of the business was very courteous and prompt in his response. We were able to agree on a price and complete the process quickly. The only complaint we have is that they used a leaf blower to do the job. I guess it's efficient, but it is loud.

They came on time, did the work well, cleaned up everything afterwards. Friendly service.

Arrived on time, inspected gutters and found them clogged up. Took about 2 hrs and cleared the gutters and then cleaned up the mess afterwards. Recommended adding an additional drain pipe, but after water cleared out, said the extra pipe wouldn't be necessary. Would use again.

Wonderful. The gutters were cleaned well, and all debris was removed. I will definitely use him annually for gutter cleaning. He was also able to stop by within 24 hours, during what I imagine is a fairly busy gutter cleaning season. He spent a good 30 minutes investigating the condition of my deck, and is coming back next week to give me a quote on replacement of a significant portion of the deck. He removed the gutter so that it was no longer a safety hazard. He only charged me for the gutter cleaning, and not the deck evaluation (which took considerable time) or the gutter removal. He identified a safety issue with my house that I had noticed a bit in the past, but by no means appreciated the extent of it. Very glad he did!

I called Joe and immediately reached him. He told me he was going to be in my area the next day, I described my properties, he provided an estimate over the phone that we both agreed on. I was away the day he did the work but left him a check. He showed up on time, provided the invoices and insurance certificates exactly as requested (I'm always surprised how many people mess that part up), and did a great job cleaning the gutters. Finally, he called when he finished to confirm that everything was done. I couldn't be any happier with Joe and will definitely use him again for gutter cleaning as well as other things that come up.

After reading gutter reviews on Angie's list, I called the number for Hennelly and Son. Joe Hennelly answered the phone, quoted me a price to clean and flush my gutters and set up an appointment for the next day. He arrived 15 minutes early and proceeded to clean and flush out the gutters. He also reattached two downspouts. I did not get other estimates because Joe's quote seemed reasonable and I wanted to get the work done before the rain and cold weather arrived later in the week. Joe was friendly, professional and prompt. I did rake up a bit after he left but that wouldn't stop me from hiring him again. Overall he did a great job.

It went smoothly and without incident.

We had paint peeling on the front wall of our living room, figured it was moisture from outside, but didn't know what the cause was. We called Joe Hennelly and he promptly called us back. We arranged for him to check the problem. He arrived on time and quickly inspected and diagnosed that our drip shields were not installed properly and that we needed our window and gutters caulked. That's where rain was getting in and causing our inside wall paint to peel. He also found a hole in the rubber roof on the back porch. A limb had pierced it in the recent snow-on-leaves storm we had in October. We arranged a time for him to do the work within the next couple of days. Joe and his assistant were on-time and efficient. And they couldn't have been nicer. They cleaned and caulked and fixed everything handily. Fortunately, we had no rotted wood. anywhere. Joe is a pleasure to deal with. He is a rare find for us. We have a small house, but there is always some problem needing a fix. A lot of time when we call contractors (even those on Angie's list) we either don't get a call back or they say they will show up and never do. Dealing with Joe Hennelly was soooooo REFRESHING. This guy is a treasure. He also does power-washing, which we badly need. We've been afraid to hire anyone for that job because there has been nobody we trusted to do it right and not get water behind the siding. We are calling Joe next spring to get it done and we know he will do it correctly. So glad we found him on Angie's List. His card also lists painting and carpentry, so we're going to check with him about a project we have in mind for our back porch. I wish Angie's list allowed A+ ratings; Joe would definitely get one from us.

I received a call back the same day that I left a voice message, scheduled a visit to review & give me a quote. Quote seemed reasonable & scheduled. Arrived on the scheduled date on time to complete the job.

Mr Hennelly and a co-worker came over to give an estimate on gutter cleaning for my home. He quoted me a reasonable price and I gave him the go-ahead to clean the gutters. Afterwards he lowered the price because the job had been less work than he had anticipated. Additionally, he had his co-worker screw in the downspout, which unbeknownst to me, was not connected properly at all. They were both kind to my small child who was fascinated with the men on the ladders. Mr. Hennelly even gave me a heads-up about the flashing near my chimney, letting me know that it was starting to come up, but that I probably had a few more years before it became a problem. They cleaned up after themselves and the only way anyone would know they were there was the water which can now flow down my drainpipe the way it is supposed to.

I called several suppliers from Angie's list - Joe Hennelly called me back right away and scheduled a day to come out to give me an estimate. On the day before he was supposed to come, he called to let me know he needed to reschedule because his truck was out of service. Since I wasn't going to be home all day, I told him it was fine to come to look at the house while I was out. He came this morning and thoroughly cleaned all the gutters and drain-spouts, as well as the deck. It was a great surprise to find the work done when I came home. The service was very reasonably priced too. He asked that I call him when I got home and made sure I was satisfied. I would definitely use them again, and, plan to call him in the spring to power the house and deck.

We called Joe on Friday, he had an opening Saturday, during a hectic weekend at our home. Joe was on time, professional and was done on time and on budget.

When I called Joe Hennelly he was working in my neighborhood and was able to come to the house within an hour. He quickly assessed the damage and needs of my gutters (both house and garage). He presented me with a very reasonable estimate and was able to do all the work that day. He was very professional, polite, neat, and thorough. While at the house he made several suggestions for future projects, but there was no feeling of pressure. The whole experience from phone call to completion was very positive. I will definitely call Joe for future projects.

I hadn't had my gutters cleaned since we moved into our house 4 years ago. Everything I called someone to come in to clean the gutters I never got a response. Finally, I emailed my Realtor who suggested Joe. Joe picked up the phone and we scheduled an appointment later the next week. He came on time, set up, and was professional and so helpful and kind to my dog. He was thorough, friendly, honest and cleaned up after himself, and pointed out some parts of our roof that were problematic that was causing water to get into our living room ceiling. I've since used Joe for two other jobs. He's definitely on my list of providers for the future.
